I found a baby pigeon in a parking lot. Figured I'd raise him and let him go. Tried to keep contact to a minimum. When he started to fly I brought him where I found him and let him go. He flew away. So I thought. As I was driving away he started flying beside my window looking at me then he tried landing on the hood. I tried a few more times with the same result. That was 5 years ago. He's sitting on my shoulder as I type this.
I am in love with PJ 🐦 pigeons get such a bad press, which is SO unfair. Beautiful birds and they are so knowing. Thanks for this amazing story ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
Pigeons carry diseases often. But it comes from the wild. A pet pigeon from birth and proper medication are cleaner as they love in a typically clean environment like a home.
PJ and her lovely adopted Mom are so adorable and incredible 💞💞 The way PJ has picked up on the loving and nurturing nature of the woman who adopted her is so evident, this is just such a beautiful story .. thanks so much for sharing with us 💞💞💞💞
I agree thanks 💓 for sharing your story and your heart 💓❤️ with those animals and the other ones on the job. I found your story interesting and encouraging.
I had a blind pigeon for many years. He was a fledgling when I found him. Wonderful, wonderful pets. Smart, affectionate. Jo truly has a friend for life! Blessed be
PIGEONS DESPERATELY NEED HELP !! 90% of pigeons in cities die in their first year of their lifes. The others don't live longer than 2-3 years. In nature, they can live up to 12-15 years. They have nothing to eat, they are forced to eat trash and they freeze to death. Pigeon can NOT live naturally in cities. They are only here because of breeders !
@@EphemeralProductions her name is Hef for Heather feather she landed in my backyard and just let herself in and we'll was so tame I just couldn't believe it
I raised a totally black fantail pigeon from the egg. His name was Tsalagi, I miss him!! I am 44 and this happened when I was 15. I had to feed him by mouth because at that time there were no syringes available for purchase due to drug addicts. So I fed him, by mouth, milk, bread, and seed... and pretty much anything else I thought would do him good. I am glad to see this video, it made me cry. I know this bond and it's not like any other. He taught me soo much! He would fly to me, outside, the second he saw me and try to put his beek in my mouth, but he also thought I was his mate ;) He was my dearest friend. He had wings and could fly anywhere and he chose to be with me. I am glad to see this video and another kindred spirit like mine :) Thanku
Seeing PJ and you together, makes my heart swell with emense love and happiness. People can live in harmony with nature if they choose too. Thanks you for your story, I'm crying happy tears.
Oh my gosh!! My eyes are tearing up! Such a great story. You are amazing for being a rescue mom and giving these otherwise unwanted animals a great life. The world needs more people like you. I'm a proud mommy of two feathered children that i adopted as well that their previous owners did not want. And they are my joy to care for!
I rescued a baby pigeon once and he loved to cuddle. His name was Pelly. He once flew away outside and scared me but he came back 30 seconds later. Then i kept him outside all the time and he would always come back for food for months. Then he started loosing my trust and never came back. I saw him a week ago at my house but now he was wild.
Pigeons and rats - surely among the two most unfairly loathed and abused animals. Both so smart and social, full of personality and the ability to bond so closely with kind humans. PJ (and friends!) couldn’t have ended up with a more caring and committed couple.
What a beautiful story. This lovely pigeon PJ has become the mother she never had. Such a beautiful human soul Julie is with creatures. Love these stories. "If you give them a lot of love, they will give love back to you." Made me cry....
I found a baby Mocking Bird. (yes a state bird, I was aware ) I raised it...then one day hung his cage on the porch, opened and tied back the door. Well, this went on for 3 days. Yes he would go out and fly around...but always came back. I ended up taking him to a man's private lake on his many acres. (safety, water, plenty of bugs, lots of trees etc.) He loved it ! !. Best part...a few days later I went back, got a bit teary eyed and was walking back to the car...there he was. He was so happy and so was I. Other birds were flying around in the trees. He wanted to be with me...but with them too. I knew he would be alright...and once home and a Bud Lite...I knew he was where he needed to be. A neighbor was kinda teasing me..."You mean you cried over a bird ?" To which I replied "Yes, old heartless one, I did "
It’s sooo funny to see how pigeons and chickens bob their heads when ppl are holding them and walking. Lmao I watched a chicken riding on a skateboard. It was bobbing it’s head the whole time 😂🤣😂
thank you for sharing this story...it warmed my heart. some people just do not believe how much love animals can give........thank you for your gentle heart and thank you pj for sharing your loving ways with us humans. what a comfort pj must be to you.💗
What a sweet little girl PJ is and the doggie is adorable too. This woman and her kind heart has created this amazing family. In the end it is always about love.
I see you have reaped the rewards of saving this animal and enriching her life. I once raised a baby pigeon that was abused terribly by other birds in the coop. Had huge scabs on his head and back. I took him and hand raised him on bread. He grew up and hung out for a while but disappeared one day. You could see his flock flying high in the sky from time to time I think he may have rejoined them. His name was Jackson and he was the coolest. Very similar in color to your bird.
You are so very lucky to be a pigeons favorite person! PJ must be a joy to have in your life...it’s obvious you are very loved! Pigeons are AWESOME birds and history has shown how intelligent and awesome they really are! I am so happy you are in the world rescuing these precious birds.
Thank You for sharing this beautiful video, love PJ she is so sweet, I really appreciate all the kind loving rescue you do, your extraordinary and its wonderful to see loving people like you helping pigeons, and any animals in need.
Such a wonderful and beautiful story. Very similar to my own experience. I found a baby pigeon who had fallen out of a nest during a very bad windstorm. I thought it was a boy, but found out otherwise when she started to have eggs when she got older. I kept her in the house for the first year. Then I built her a little house of her own on our porch outside. I'd let her spend the day outside until I got home from work each day, and I'd bring her inside each night. Little did I know that she met a boyfriend during the day who would sit above my bedroom window each morning and coo, waiting for her to come outside. Eventually I let her live outside with her mate. They eventually moved away to their own home - but returned every day. When she was a baby I taught her how to take a bath (just as you did) and to fly. It was so fun to watch her experience rain for the first time. She was my best friend EVER in this life. She'd fly beside me as I rode my bicycle. She'd even try to follow me to work. I'll never forget the entire experience. Great video. Thank you for sharing your amazing experience.
So so cute what your doing thanks from Charlie and Sombra the little brendell chiawaua from Texas. Thanks love it wish there were more people like you.
Such a heart warming story, I always get butterflies that follow me home from the store. I enjoy that feeling that nature in the wild is waiting for us to communicate. Thank you GeoBeats for stories like this.
This woman is so great and i wish i knew even one person that had this much love to give like this woman , PJ and Joji so adorable and glad they got her as their mom . the world is a better place with this woman in it .
That’s cute. I never had love for pigeons. We have tons in Vegas. They nest in a corner on my roof. They make a huge mess. But as I get older, my tolerance for them is increasing. I can appreciate your caring for the pigeon. Compassion is key for a happy life. I’d care for one if it was presented to me.

Wow that's awesome
I have one queetion. If you kept pigeon on your home, how you handle their poop? They are little bit messy
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Bird people are special. Pigeons are so smart and affectionate. They are worthy of respect.
I am in love with PJ 🐦 pigeons get such a bad press, which is SO unfair. Beautiful birds and they are so knowing. Thanks for this amazing story ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
They’re “knowing”? So they “know” when they’re pooping on your car? That just makes them bigger jerks.
Pigeons carry diseases often. But it comes from the wild. A pet pigeon from birth and proper medication are cleaner as they love in a typically clean environment like a home.
We have the most beautiful pigeons in San Diego. They’re iridescent. Mostly black with some purple and teal.
Right they sure have gotten a bad name they taste great with a little bbq sauce on them.
@@Solkard You're gonna blame birds for pooping? Look man they're just some big city jerks, can't hold it against em, It's a New York thing! :P
