Just here to drop my usual "Nothing will ever beat the Raging Light Pillars from Kof 96" when I did it back in the arcades, I never forgot how amazing that Raging Storm looked.
A Pitty they changed it on 98 UM (same Geese from 96 )

Raging Storm has existed in many forms, from claws to spikes to pillars to blood-red versions to literal lightning and even an actual tempest of winds.
That said, KOF XIV is the first time the Raging Storm is an actual storm.
And I thought I have seen it all, the Green Raging Storm in XI is actually cool.

It took SNK ages to standardize the name to Raging Storm. It's commonly spelt as 'Rising/Raising Storm' in many games, even in the in-game move list for KOF 98UM. It's not helped by the fact that Kong Kuwata's pronunciation over the years also changed to sound like Rising/Raising/Raging Storm, depending on which game you played.

It also became more confusing when they made the mis-pronunciation an actual move, as RAISING Storm is an SDM for Nightmare Geese in 2k2UM.
I think I like the versions where the waves are concentrated on one side

My absolute favorite is the one with Geese on Dominated Mind and Real Bout Fatal Fury 2, that Nightmare Geese uses in KoF 2002 UM. The asymmetrical one, like a claw extending from the ground.
Say what you will about the graphics in King of Fighters XIV but you will never convince me the Nightmare Geese they created isn’t badass as hell!

Even seeing them all, the truth still stands:
The style from Real Bout Special is the definitive one. Lopsided, huge, blue and intense.
It just has a ferocity that is missing from the other ones, even the huge claws all over from, say 2002 UM in Nightmare Geese's little combo one (is that supposed to be how Deadly Rave is in that game? Can't remember, lol). Every time they deviate it's just not quite as satisfying
I think also a special mention is deserved to Rock's Raging Storm in Garou. I just LOVE the detail where all of his projectiles, including Raging Storm are purple EXCEPT, when you do his level 2 Raging Storm, it's blue like Geese's
Nah Geese's Raging Storm in Real Bout 1 is way better plus , it attacks in all planes instead of just one.
My favourite super move in any fighting game. I wanted to learn how to do it after getting caught so many times in CVS 1

Geese é do jeito que é pela infância dele e virou um vilão, pois é a forma que ele aprendeu a viver/sobreviver. Rugal é ruim porque, foda-se, mas feito de um jeito bem construido (isso sem comentar que exploraram uma personalidade com complexo de deus). Heihachi eu n sei dizer, pq n joguei nenhum Tekken, mas, pelo que li, ele teve várias repaginadas na personalidade dele durante os jogos, o que dá uma profundidade nele.
Se comparar os backgrounds deles com o do Bison, este acaba sendo o vilão típico. Quer conquistar o mundo porque... razões, já que ele ficou doido com o Psycho Power.
Pra mim, o Akuma é um vilão (?) muito mais bem construído.do que o Bison, ainda que ele tb tenha esse rolê de ter se deixado levar pelo poder.

My top 3 favorites are: 1) the combo version of 2002 SDM, 2) the cage version of KOF 98UM and the claw version from RBFFS.
i like how tekken version looks the cleanest and sounds most badass
My favorite is the one from 14, it has it's own unique real storm effect and it does a shit ton of damage
However that effect alone ruined the character of Gesse in lore, he should've been in full control of his power, that storm effect always belongs to Rock instead.
4:22 The notation on this is incorrect; KOF XI had five buttons (E was introduced to act as the "blowback" button, replacing C+D)
on tekken 7 they just balance the raging storm dmg compare to other series game. They already nerf him but still a very good dlc. Worth to buy

What’s the actual concept of the move: he swings his arms down with so much force that lightning/energy/wind(?) strikes DOWN onto the ground? Or that there is so much force that pillars of energy erupt UP from the ground?
If his usual attack the reppuu ken (his version of the projectile attacks) are any indication, his energy is generated from the ground. Similar to Terry Bogard’s, as terry’s dad and Geese had the same sensei.

Yeah, KOF AS is a shit game, but admittedly the animations and production values were top notch. He had 4 different Raging Storm versions in the game.
