I will say this, i love that Geese, unlike quite a few SNK villains, is just a regular guy who grew up poor, he doesn't come from some special family of assassins or with unique abilities, doesn't worship an evil God or demon and thus isn't powered up by any of them, isn't a multiversal being, some kind of ancient race or even enhanced by a secret organization to become a cyborg or given a really good suit. No, Geese lost a fight with his half brother and decided to learn martial arts until he became a crime boss that, even if he loses, always has a big appearance or the story showcasing him as a mastermind or just damn tough. At best you can say that he uses magical scrolls a few times, but at least he isn't getting possessed and replaced or worshipping someone else, and he doesn't want to destroy the world or anything, he just wants to be the crime boss, it makes Geese be refreshing and awesome compared to other villains, particularly when it's made clear how he is above average even amongst the strongest fighters in the world despite, again, just being a random guy that grew up poor.
Exactly why Geese is my favorite fighting game boss of all time. He’s literally “just a guy”. He’s a mafia/kingpin crime boss who is a great fighter, not because he has a special bloodline or worships an ancient entity or anything, but simply because he got there through hard work and practice of martial arts.
Geese along with Athena is the reason why I got hooked into SNK. When I was an SNK newbie, I watched Maximilian Dood play KoF XIV. There was a character named "Geese", and I asked myself "What does this guy do?" "DIE FOREVER - RAGING....STOOOORM!" "Oh." Geese IMO is the greatest fighting game villain ever because in his words and his actions, he treats you like dirt (Useless...DIE!). You are insignificant to him, and he rubs it in your face. It's quite hilarious that Terry uses English attacks while Geese uses Japanese attacks. I think that's why SNK villains are so likable. They're evil with a sense of humor whether it is due to their personality, their dialogue, or one of their signature moves. Also, "Geese", while being a common word in the English language, is a surprisingly badass name for a character. You got multiple Terrys, Andys, Joes, Kyos, Ioris, Ryos, Yuris, and so on in various games and media, but when it comes to "Geese", it becomes a singular noun, because there is only one "Geese".
You forgot to mention his "engrish" is top-notch, like Terry's: "I'll stain my hounds, with your bra!" It's interesting how, despite Geese being a crime lord and an assassin, knows to treat his underlings with respect, so they respect him the same way. Not even most real life bosses and companies do that.
@@doxiedaddy7784 Rugal is badass too, but not as badass as Geese in my opinion. But Igniz and Orochi were always lame to me. Neither one ever even remotely struck me as “badass” honestly.

So basically Geese is a DOA character lol. All seriousness though Geese is a great character, he's very hateble in story and in gameplay, but you can't take away his lore and backstory how he became that way. Nightmare Geese is a either a manifestation of the Jin scrolls or his Phantom hunting his enemies in their dreams, basically Geese became Freddy Kruger. In the KOF continuity it's manifestation of Nightmare Geese is because of Verse demonic powers due to him absorbing it kinda like Akuma or Rugal in Capcom VS SNK2.

Hell yes, Sir. Been waiting on this one. No boss has anything on Geese. Raging storm is my favorite special.... Ever. The thing I like most about him is his simplicity. Unlike other bosses in the persistent universe, Geese hones his skills, never bowing to dark gods or technology. His fighting style has a very real, Akido/Judo feel to it, with his throws, counters and traditional attire. (I don't count "Nightmare Geese")
Geese becomes Dead and Alive like the Emperor from Final Fantasy 2 becomes both the Emperor of Heaven and Hell! I'm a very big fan of Geese and this video does a lot for him. Strangely Geese became so important to South Town that he basically held South Town together. One more thing... wasn't he the police commissioner in Fatal Fury?
This was an awesome storyline as narrated thanks I was already a fan from this character, and found him extremely powerful already in SVC chaos, I didnt play the KOF 2002 UM to know about his nightmar version. But im proud of actually stopping with Gesse the special move from Shin Akuma when he dissapears and then lands on the opponent face with a ton of damage (unblockable)... I just countered that special with the grab anti-air and Ko'ed him Totally made my day.
Awesome video! Geese is my favorite fighting game character. I knew his death story was all over the place but I didn't care as long as he was playable.
It's funny cause at first it was easy to accept that Real Bout Fatal Fury just took place after KOF 96 or 97... but then they kept including him in more and more games, either as the guy setting up teams in the back story, or actually back in the ring like in KOF 14. I always wondered if the average joe knew Geese was a fighter and not just some business man. I assume only the main characters know he's evil and corrupt but the typical South Town person would think Geese is a cool and respectable person. I'm assuming KOF 96 was the first time Geese (and I guess Mr. Big) fought in front of the general public.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but poor Geese. I never knew he had a crappy father and half-brother. I wish the former will get his. Thanks for making the video of OG OP boss in a fighting game.
Glad someone did one of my top favorite villain justice dedicating a whole video to him. Geese is amazing. so much personality and character to him and also he's a major badass fighter. thanks for this! Oh another idea. I'm also a big fan of M.Bison (Vega) from the SF series. If you can do a video on him someday. Thanks and keep it up!!
Oh how great it would have been if they had included a version of Geese in KOF XIII. That would have been beautiful! I don't play him that much but I sure do love his story. Great vieo as always!
Ah, clips from KOF Destiny ? NEAT ! Honestly, it was damn enjoyable. Geese and Rugal's coolness were off the charts (one being sympathetic and yet needing to be put down while the latter had far more money and sadism than common sense...) and Kyo was actually likable in it ! Can't wait for what they will do with Goenitz...
Liked, subscribed and shared. Geese is one of my favorites and this video got his story so well. I hope that new fatal fury movies or anime can be produced to explore more in this amazing lore.
My favourite characther, thanks a lot! Did you think that the interest that Geese show about Verse and the dead warriors' souls inside him is related with a (possible) future return of Jeff Bogard? And what about an all-new KoF team with Geese, Jeff and Cheng? 😅
Kinda wish Fatal Fury characters were more relevant in KoF. Personally I feel them to be more relatable/down to earth, including Geese himself. Then again they’d lose said relatability if they were made to be more powerful for no reason. One of the things I like about Terry for example is that he’s just a dirt-poor homeless person living in the streets of a corrupt city who had to work extra hard to earn the respect he has today. Plus his personality just makes him seem like the kind of person you’d naturally just want to be friends with. He wasn’t born from a long line of firebenders, he wasn’t cloned from anyone special, he’s not some creepy magic trap with Toph Beifong’s hairdo, etc.
Just call the split timelines “Schrodinger’s Geese”. Simultaneously alive and dead until you boot up the Character Select screen
That is actually a clever name.

The thing i like about king of fighter villian is because even they evil they still a good parents and love their kids
come on Snk we all know tha Terry and Andy are Geese's sons :))
Geese is my favorite boss character in fighting games! He's so damn cool 😎
Geese got abandoned by his father, tried to revenge for that.
An geese left rock alone, ironic
Geese was not chosen because he use his emotions to control him.
Facts.
Yes he was.
I just countered that special with the grab anti-air and Ko'ed him
Totally made my day.
Akuma,Geese,Noctis and Heihachi in the same game...
Bamco is something.
Also PREDICTABO!!
... Also something about Untitled Goose game
Awesome video! Geese is my favorite fighting game character. I knew his death story was all over the place but I didn't care as long as he was playable.
Imo, Geese is prolly one of if not the most well written villain in fighting games.
Geese Howard vs Heihachi Mishima Death Battle is finally Happening!
Now we'll see who's the strongest Big Boss in Fighting Game History!
Geese took many Ls in canon, but he's still a badass.
REPPUKEN!
Best villain, getting the tribute he deserves. Really appreciate you showing off Nightmare Geese '02UM there, too.
Nice video for one of the greatest fighting games character. We can feel the passion. Good job 👍
Thanks for the visit
ah yes my second fav villain the mr.fall building
You're welcome.
I learned so much about Geese. He has a surprising a sad story. Despite his being a bad guy I always thought he was really cool
This continuity error was fixed in SNK heroines tag team frenzy where the events of real bout fatal fury happen but geese survived instead.
Note that Ronette Sakazaki(Takuma's wife, Ryo and Yuri's mother)died when Geese went to Germany and met Krauser.
geese is literally the storm that is approaching
Young long haired Geese could pass off as the biological father of Andy Bogard.
Since my childhood he was just a handsome guy in my eyes...
For some reason, I can picture Michael Wincott playing a live action version of and even doing an English dub for Geese Howard
Oh how great it would have been if they had included a version of Geese in KOF XIII. That would have been beautiful! I don't play him that much but I sure do love his story.
Great vieo as always!
He was originally planned to be included in XIII.
@@ShoryuGame Wow, I didn't know. What a shame that he didn't make it to the final roster.
Geese is the reason why i love SNK games i was andstill obsessed with FF and AOF franchise ❤
When does season 2 start....I'm pretty excited
Liked, subscribed and shared. Geese is one of my favorites and this video got his story so well. I hope that new fatal fury movies or anime can be produced to explore more in this amazing lore.
Thanks for the support.
Another great video. Glad to support your channel. Seriously your doing great
Thanks so much for the support.
Awesome video. Interesting all this Geese's timelines.
Thanks!
My favourite characther, thanks a lot!
Did you think that the interest that Geese show about Verse and the dead warriors' souls inside him is related with a (possible) future return of Jeff Bogard?
And what about an all-new KoF team with Geese, Jeff and Cheng? 😅
It will be hard to convince Jeff to team up with his killer.
"Hey, sorry for the murder...we have a common enemy!" 😂
Right, it will be hard to convince Jeff...
Better use him in an all-Bogard team.
I love that you just helped me understand many things😍🤩🤩
Geese has the best theme song in KOF. If you haven't listen to a metal cover of if you haven't yet
Schrödinger's geese
i'm not sure why villans tend to be loved ironically enough
Because villains are cool, who the fuck wants to be a good guy?
Hatred. It can be a vicious cycle if not tempered well and in geese's case it seems to be a legacy.
I'm curious about the age difference between Terry and Ryo since Terry was still a kid when Jeff was killed by Geese and Ryo defeated young Geese.
Ryo actually too strong that time so snk nerf it.
14 years. Here's the math: Yuri Sakazaki is 4 years younger than Ryo, and 10 years older than Terry.
Geeese!!! "Stand up!"
Ahh geese Howard one of my favorite snk villains
One of the coolest villains in all of video games.
Kim and Yamazaki have their own story arcs in KOF. I wish if they did something similar with the rest of Fatal Fury and AoF cast.
I am pretty sure Mr. Big and Takuma are the only guys under Geese that hates him
Was expecting part 2 of Metal Slug but this is also good content~
It's still coming, don't worry.
Duck howard
Ducklings How Herd.
Geese is the greatest villain of all Fighting games
