Fun fact the rsr got heavier because in nfs payback it was 890 pounds and in nfs heat 940. Still it was better in heat because the upgrading system in payback was ass and allowed a bad rsr build to be beaten out by a good build of another car
Hey fun fact, the rsr is meta AF in the newest NFS game for the first 3 tiers. People underestimate this thing but it will leave you if you are not a decent driver 🤷♂️
Its funny. Need for Speed alone actually made me hate looking at the car to the point that every time when i see someone in it, i just think they're unskilled and lazy. But the Carrera S in the Crew Motorfest like you said really isn't all that bad, its just its speed that is outrageous. Which is funny because both Crew 2 and Motorfest have the actual RSR in the game, and they're terrible 😂
You have Porsche PTSD😭😭 because when i saw the porsche rsr in the crew motorfest and its good i literally thought this is just nfs heat all over again..
in my case playing games on the 360, the broken car for me seems to be the subaru impreza, its somehow one of the best in like all of the games i play it in, the worst offender being test drive unlimited 2 where it just overshadows the A6 class with its additional ability to be driven offroad
Back in the day when I had a lot of free time, I was playing ProStreet and trying to find the best performing grip car. I tested every worthy candidate, that's almost all of the cars in the game. Nothing could touch the lap time of the STI.
As someone who isn't really into cars that much, I just figured it was some kinda holy grail to the car community so they trick it out every racing game lol.
I got into unbound a week ago and I was like:"hmm i wonder if that Porsche is still one of the most op cars" I got destroyed in a online race by 3 of them 👌
I didnt play these games when they were at peak player count but I assume it was very annoying to be in a lobby with them, it must’ve been like back in OG NFS World where the F1 Elite dominated and nothing came close to touching it
tbh when i first used the rsr in nfs heat i really enjoyed it but at the end it really made me feel empty cause of how you can just blitz through a game with it
Porsche has always had some weird bias in NFS games. Recently beat Pro Street and Carbon this year and I noticed just how much better the 911 and Carrera are. Was playing at the best of my ability on Carbon with a Lotus and later an Aston Martin, only to switch to the Carrera which makes light work of everything in the game. In Pro Street, Rudy Chen in his 911 is the only car in the entire game that has somewhat decent pace. Not to mention the Porsches in Most Wanted being in another class as well. Not surprised since Porsche had so much sway with licensing and developers want to appease them to keep them in the game. You see the same thing with Polyphony Digital for GT7 with Nissan, where the GTR is often the best pick for any given daily race. Not to mention the 60 or so Skylines in GT4.
That’s a stupid conspiracy that can be explained by lineage: in 2015 it had a particular set of stats that happened to be the best combination. The game was so busted, no way did they specifically balanced the game in a way that RSR came out as meta deliberately. Payback and Heat were based on 2015, this explains “broken”. RSR in these games, although they clearly made an effort to make more cars competitive. Unbound had a major overhaul to the handling model, making RSR not meta anymore, but breaking some other cars in the process. Other games you mentioned aren’t worth commenting on.
I think your right when it comes to Unbound through. From 2015 - Heat, it was Ghost Games that was making nfs games when Criterion got the license back well first they released hot pursuit remastered (goated game but no glaze) and unbound shortly after that which ofc they did a overhaul of the handling. So there is probably some truth but definitely not 100% confirmed. Thanks For Commentinf!
I made fun of you and called you a whole clown if I saw you pull this out in a race. Like FR, you are really going to rely on the "Meta car" of the game because your skills are not enough? How are you supposed to get better at the game if you are using the most brain-dead car? Yes copying and pasting a build that you saw on RUclips is brain dead. This is why I am so glad NFS unbounded dethroned the 911 and why I give it so much praise as a good nfs game. It actually gives us variety because the Porsche doesn't play a factor in every single tier.
1000% facts, you cant really be skillful if you only use meta cars. While yes they can put you up a few places but if your fighting against someone thats actually good in a different car your fried. Thanks for commenting!
@ZaneWasTakenYT exactly OMG. Why do people really think just because they use "the meta" that they are skilled and everyone else should just get better? I have this exact problem on NFS unbound and the funny part is I have the meta cars in my garage🤷♂️ and the more funny part is I still don't pick them as a reminder for me to know that I am better than that😆 when you play a game long enough, you can find a way around the meta.
Brotha, I've been saying this for years about meta huggers. Take HPR for an example, if is saw someone in the ACR, F1 Sesto (HP & Arms Race), SL65 and Diablo (MW Mode) I call them a bunch of cowards. I got bored fast watching and even racing against NFS comp teams because all they do is dickride meta and not change anything
@@Itz_Puxeno trust me i have meta cars too. In Unbound through, the only Meta cars i do use is in S+ because if you have any other car OTHER than the Regera or Evjia, then your fried. So thats the only series i use meta cars in but everything else i tune everything out myself.
@@ZaneWasTakenYT that is so true 🤷♂️ the regera and the new lotus takes over s+. I don't really mind it though but I kind of do because beforehand and before people understood how the regera actually worked there was variety and people picked the countach, Spyder, Vulcan, etc. Like no one really knew what was the fastest and that's what made it fun because there was always someone overtaking someone else and vice versa. But once people start to figure out that the best cars exist, it literally becomes just a game of chess😒
NFS Porsche Unleashed: "Truth is. The game was rigged from the start."
It's like with Dodge in Fast and Furious
I dont know why some random car in some games are just absurdly fast, like a tricked out 599XX is faster than a jesko???
No because why is a old car from 1999 going faster than a 2020 car??😭😭😭 Thanks for commenting!

Well thats a counter to a broken car (i hate payback with a passion)

Ea also had exclusive licensing rights to porsche until 2017 which meant other games used rufs or gemballas instead
Tbh i miss rufs, some of their line ups looks cooler than the actual 911, like ruf BTR or SCR
Interesting….
Its funny.

I do really enjoy the subaru impreza but i dont see it around that much often anymore

😭😭😭
I think the problem in the NFS games is the weight of the car and how the frostbite engine handles that in conjunction with the power
I got into unbound a week ago and I was like:"hmm i wonder if that Porsche is still one of the most op cars"

😭😭😭😭, yep its still
Up there…
That's like ump45 in og MW2

Yes!!! I’ve been playing SBRW (revived NFSW) and it seems more balanced than it did all those years ago. The elite cars haunt me still.

Thats insane that Porsches had so much hand in just about everything thats ridiculous😭😭. Thanks for commenting!
Listen. I'll only say "Cyberpunk 2077 Samurai porsche". You know it's sex on wheels
Oh that car is amazing.
