Good review. I have seen a lot of negative coverage for deathloop so i'm glad to see somone advocate for it. If you enjoyed it that much I would highly recomend Dishonored. It is hightly stealth focused, to the point that it is possible to beat the game without killing a single enemy. You do also have the option to use guns and go on a murder spree at any time. The level design is so good and offeres multiple ways to succeed.

I think the problem in the NFS games is the weight of the car and how the frostbite engine handles that in conjunction with the power

honestly when vol. 7 released in nfs unbound i think i clocked in around 150 hours only in that period. i think i finished the speed pass in 5 days for how much was i playing the new drift and drag events. i skipped vol. 8 because my save got completely nuked and in vol. 9 im grinding again and the new lockdown event is pretty good. unbound might be good to buy now since it actually feels like a complete game but it still has its problems

Porsche has always had some weird bias in NFS games. Recently beat Pro Street and Carbon this year and I noticed just how much better the 911 and Carrera are. Was playing at the best of my ability on Carbon with a Lotus and later an Aston Martin, only to switch to the Carrera which makes light work of everything in the game. In Pro Street, Rudy Chen in his 911 is the only car in the entire game that has somewhat decent pace. Not to mention the Porsches in Most Wanted being in another class as well. Not surprised since Porsche had so much sway with licensing and developers want to appease them to keep them in the game. You see the same thing with Polyphony Digital for GT7 with Nissan, where the GTR is often the best pick for any given daily race. Not to mention the 60 or so Skylines in GT4.

Unbound had a major overhaul to the handling model, making RSR not meta anymore, but breaking some other cars in the process. Other games you mentioned aren’t worth commenting on.

How are you supposed to get better at the game if you are using the most brain-dead car? Yes copying and pasting a build that you saw on RUclips is brain dead. This is why I am so glad NFS unbounded dethroned the 911 and why I give it so much praise as a good nfs game. It actually gives us variety because the Porsche doesn't play a factor in every single tier.

I didnt play these games when they were at peak player count but I assume it was very annoying to be in a lobby with them, it must’ve been like back in OG NFS World where the F1 Elite dominated and nothing came close to touching it

Fun fact the rsr got heavier because in nfs payback it was 890 pounds and in nfs heat 940. Still it was better in heat because the upgrading system in payback was ass and allowed a bad rsr build to be beaten out by a good build of another car

in my case playing games on the 360, the broken car for me seems to be the subaru impreza, its somehow one of the best in like all of the games i play it in, the worst offender being test drive unlimited 2 where it just overshadows the A6 class with its additional ability to be driven offroad

Ea also had exclusive licensing rights to porsche until 2017 which meant other games used rufs or gemballas instead

tbh when i first used the rsr in nfs heat i really enjoyed it but at the end it really made me feel empty cause of how you can just blitz through a game with it

Its funny. Need for Speed alone actually made me hate looking at the car to the point that every time when i see someone in it, i just think they're unskilled and lazy. But the Carrera S in the Crew Motorfest like you said really isn't all that bad, its just its speed that is outrageous. Which is funny because both Crew 2 and Motorfest have the actual RSR in the game, and they're terrible 😂

Sound pretty young if HP remake was your young days lol. I don't think any of these games are that great Unbound was fun in campaign mode then they switched the game to a live service type of game and left the single player to rot. Sucks cause thats was the best part. Overall game variety and quality isn't anywhere near the PS1-PS2 days and other systems of that era. I suggest you setup some emulators and play the old classics, we aren't anywhere near the variety of PS2 era games back in the day. Midnight Club games, Midtown Madness, Burnout, Gran Turismo 4 and under, Hot Pursuit 2 , Underground 1 and 2, Most Wanted 05, Juiced 1, Street Racing Syndicate, D1GP, Enthusia, Ridge Racers, Xteme G series, Tokyo Extreme series, GTR2 series( Race and more), etc etc, all still very much enjoyable once you get used the the art style/ graphics. Once you see the quality and variety of that era of games then you'll see why we are nowhere near that era anymore and we probably never will again. Also cause car culture itself is kinda wack now, the automotive industry just wants to make suvs and boring electric cars now so nothing really new cheap and fun to get into in real life, so there's not really a thriving car culture like the late 90s early 2000s, so we dont have anything to reflect on in a game. There's a reason we still only have the 90s and 2000s car selection as the main attraction in games. At that time a lot of those cars were still relatively new so kts was special seeing them in a game. We just don't have that anymore cause the affordable sports car is long gone.

Got to give Ivory Tower their Due, the amount of Anti-FOMO and Anti-Grind Features they have added to Motorfest for Year 2 have completely changed the Game, they really are listening to Players! the Proper Offline mode, complete with *Offline Installers* !, that they are currently working on as well really does seal them, IMO, as Ubisoft's *one* Great Studio...because they are not only actually good at their Jobs as they were chosen purely on Merit and thus are mostly Industry Veterans from Eden Games, but because they also Listen! Also, IMO, Playground Games need to take a good long long at Motorfest before doing FH6, as they could do with taking a lot of Influence from it! (the Anti FOMO Features (like the Car Tickets from Custom Race Mode (Earn through Play! not MTX, Earn through Play! I never thought Ubisoft would allow for that! but Ivory Tower did it anyway!) to just Buy Cars that once Required Grand Races and Summits), the Car sounds (the *chop* on those V8's! *oof* ! ), the Cockpit Animations, Bikes, the Stunning Scenery, the Constantly Present Festival that is a Character in its own Right with all the Balloons and the Titantrons and the Sign up Booths for every Race (Something FH1 had!) etc, the Incredible Roads that are clearly built around the Car List, the Sheer Love of Cars and Car Culture to the point everything else takes a back seat to Car Culture, Playlists as a Mini-Story that connects together multiple Races and Championships and is not just a Chore Chart! and Including Support for those who wish to play the Game *Completely Offline* ! basically if FH6 is just Motorfest but with Forza's Semi-Sim/Sim-Cade Handing Physics, a Rob Da Bank Curated Soundtrack (they *need* to Re-Hire Rob Da Bank!) and an ESRB E Rating...it is going to be Perfection!) as it is giving them some *real* competition!

I think what alot of Racing gamers are looking for is a game that is just a fun Racing game like NFS MW, Carbon, FH4 without all the leveling, simulation or progression BS. I've played so many Racing games and most of them all just feel the same now. There hasn't been a game out there that isn't indie that's like "hey, this is a brand new experience, you are going to experience things".

Assetto Corsa Evo, NASCAR 25, Wreckfest 2, but most of all, Night Runners, Japanese Drift Master & Tokyo Xtreme Racer '25, of all games, might be the three "saviours" of the arcade side of the racing games (which is on the pretty bad state of affairs as of late I admit) especially given the last three games I've mentioned we're centered around illegal street racing themes in Japan with souped up JDM's, which is apparently the consensus of what most people we're looking for from what I've seen The way I seeing it, the real issue lies with the fact that we're lacking in single player side of the racing games as of late, which amplified with games like NFS Unbound and TDU Solar Crown, where the former had it's post-launch updates online only and the latter did a stellar job to make the game always online MMO and having it's servers regionally & platform locked, which leads to some of the worst corporate decisions I have ever seen in any racing game since NFS Payback with it's slot card upgrade system sorry for the rather lengthly rambling, but here's hoping Tokyo Xtreme Racer '25 pulled an Ace Combat 7, Armored Core 6 & Stalker 2 for the arcade racing game genre, no longer we had to suffering through the iron clad rule of EA, Microsoft and Ubisoft and their season passes, microtransactions, and always online slop they're been force feeding to us for over the past decades or so

got like 2500+ games in the collection from all different consoles. would say I've played less than 10% of them, and what helps to enjoy them more is too play the ones youre actually interested in and not just for platinums. It doesn't help to have to complete a game you are not enjoying just for the last trophy

I also had this issue so i use 'waves' to play games! Like i play a handful of games at the same time (between 5-10) and when i completed all of them i move to the next wave, my current waves are at 8 Games across my devices. Much easier to enjoy them, and if you need a break from the waves you play the games that you will always play, like a multiplayer game or Minecraft. i completed many games that i would of skipped with this system c:

well about my backlog, getting platinum trophy is the one keeping me back to finish all that games... I had a time when i just finished the campaigns of the games, i finished like 3-4 games in a row. But when i returned to platinum trophy hunting, i stopped moving forward and got slow. So all in all beating only campaign and starting another game after that helps me beating my backlog.
