I'm also in my early 30s and I've also felt jealousy and great admiration for this awesome girl! I've been jealous at how she seems so wise and perfect at just 25 yet I was such a mess at 25 🤣.. Ezinne thank you sooooo much❤️❤️ this was the confirmation I needed. So last month I took a break off social media; Snapchat and IG to focus on my Christian journey, I realized that I was addicted and too distracted. I noticed that not only did I get closer to God, I became more productive and I was so happy. Then I redownloaded this month for random reasons and honestly I fell back into the loop of laziness and time wasting. I was already considering deleting it again, and this was the final push. I can’t get distracted now that God is finally revealing what he has in store for me concerning what to do next which was a prayer point throughout the year. He literally answered me at the time that I deleted the apps. Off to delete those apps 🚶🏽♀️🚶🏽♀️🚶🏽♀️
Been thinking of getting off social media for the past couple of days, I feel stuck and too disconnected from God, coupled with all of life’s challenges hitting me back to back!!

When in the wilderness, all the noises keep you from hearing the voice of God. I went through that last year and I felt bad at the beginning. God allowed me to go through the isolation and some pruning and social media was part of it, got rid of those that don't serve me. I can say that I am in a better place now.
The only vindicator is our God, I learnt that ..
Pray for spirit of discernment, may the Lord direct your path.

The reason why you don't have anything happening in your life is that you're always on social media, looking at people who have things happening in their lives.
These lines hit me.
Jealousy crept into my innermost being late last year. I'm learning to be genuinely happy for people and trying my best not to see other people's progress as motivation. This is not because they shouldn't be motivation, in certain cases they are, but my motive for checking them out shouldn't be for comparison.
I really love your channel, but when you post videos like this. I am so grateful! The wisdom you received from that experience is Gold. I used to struggle with Jealousy bad, but I am now at a place where I am seeking and asking God for contentment and satisfaction in him and a mind shift on how I perceive my own life.

And then God rebuked me and told me this people has been on here for as much as 4 years 3years 5years and so on

I got active this year and had some people close to me who got encouraged by my activity, tried to do same and they flourished. I got jealous when they reached a big mile stone while I was still struggling. I had a leading to pray for them instead and even honour the grace of God upon their life. In as much, it hurts sometimes cause I feel they had speed upon their life, I have released myself to be obedient to God's leading and instructions.
Oh... I didn't mention that I muted them on SM out of love and in an attempt to avoid the spirit of jealousy from clouding me again.

I have been doing youtube for 8 good years consistent and inconsistently and getting the 4000 seems impossible! I told myself after December if it don’t work it’s not suppose to be and that’s okay. I forgot why I was doing youtube and focused on the numbers now it’s more or shore than passion. I loved your perceptive!!!
Interesting how I just deactivated my social media accounts literally less than 30 minutes before seeing this video.💛 I feel vindicated. As a years 20yrs old Guy… I love everything about you and all you said from the Love process to finding the real meaning of jealousy. I feel like many people don't know the real meaning of being jealous (tho I must found out about it) it means you want something someone else already have in there life but you don't. I have been off social media intentionally a lot this year and it has helped and I also intentionally stop following some people lifestyle cause after doing it I am always like God am I moving forward ?
I found out I don’t compare myself with other people like before and it is the end of the year and I realize that we all run different race.

I came here watching this after spending not too long but unnecessary time on SM and in between the video, I paused and went to set healthy timers for all my social media apps and games even (because even though I don't play games on a normal day, I can fall into it's temptation because I have no social media to use lol. I'm giving no place to the devil😂) and I made a commitment to stick with it because God actually has a lot for me to do and I can't afford to waste precious time.

I needed this! So so timely! God has been speaking to me about comparing myself to people who are in their 30s/40s, or people that have actually “put in the time”.
And yes, social media breaks are necessary. Helped me focus on real life situations and pay attention to things in front of me. Also, to reduce comparison.
I’ve been meaning to go on a longer break and actually working on myself with God in during that break.

One time I was on a fast, and I by God's grace didn't go online till I break my fast for the day. I saw how reluctant I was towards social media even when I was through with the fast. Somehow I've gone back to the online junky 😔, but I'm cultivating the habit of not going to the restroom with my phone but rather a book or my bible and also getting an app that tracks how long I spend on social media daily. Please can someone recommend an app for me?
