You said something that really hit me. Thank you for this video. Few months ago, I was in this place. And then I spoke to Adenike Raks and she really did give me an assignment to go and define myself success. I took. It to Abba and asked the Holy Spirit to help me define the success He wants for me. It was a long journey. And then I spoke to my Pastor about it. And He told me that I’ll really need to go on this with Abba. And embrace the Identity He has given me. It took a while. But I’m here now. I dealt with so much jealousy. Gosh especially with people who were close to me. I’m so happy that now I can boldly say that I’m not jealous of anyone again. Even when I try to look left or right, I remind myself who I am and the lane God has for me. I pray that this video blesses everyone who watches it!

I battled with Comparison and jealousy too, it wasn't easy it literally ate me up.I found myself feeling angry whenever I saw my friends progressing. At a point I had to stop, and what helped me is to first 1)Ask God for help. 2) Also whenever I see a friend get a win,I just congratulate them or compliment them. I found myself replacing that jealousy with just being happy for people. Doing that helped me out so much, it helped me to start living a happy life. Now I'm very content, happy, and striving to live a more fulfilled life😂. It works guys.

Someone once shared a useful tip. She said, whenever I am comparing myself to someone else or feeling insecure when I witness a person's success/growth, see their beauty or strength, I should pray for and thank God for them immediately. Thanksgiving to God each time those feelings come, helps me fix my eyes on God not on my feelings of insecurity and comparison. It's incredible how God has worked on my heart in this area. When I started being happy for others, my envy and jealousy started to go down. I've even had people compare me to others. God helped me handle them too!
I'm watching this video a year later.. RUclips recommended it.. I've been dealing with jealousy and comparison recently.. Comparison in all forms, even with my body size, wishing to have other people's type of body, especially my close friends and it has just weighed me down emotionally.. Ezinne God bless you for this. You know, when I found you here on RUclips, at some point I started feeling jealous of you. But God asked me to pray for you, and I did. When I prayed, I noticed that your videos started getting views, and I was honestly overjoyed. God also taught me to get over jealousy by praying for the person I'm feeling that emotion about.
I think this is a pattern with God. Cause for the comments I have read so far..it's like the same pattern even without we knowing ourselves, we were given the same instructions.
The underlying root of jealousy and comparison is unbelief. Not believing that what God told us will not come to pass but the reality is that what God says to us WILL come to pass in our lives because He cannot lie and He is not a man that He should lie.
Great discussion. I was having this discussion with my best friend yesterday. I used to struggle with jealousy and comparison and it stemmed from my brokenness as a child. I am happy to say that God healed me and it feels so good.
Contentment with my own life is a goal. This is why I'm taking a journey to live life without looking to others lives. I knew God was leading me to leave some platforms, I was hesitant, because my profession is in PR and it would be crazy to "leave social media in my profession". I was once Instagram and this was after consecutive confirmation, that I better off without the apps, I believe God won't lead to place where he won't provide for you. I remember scrolling and thinking to myself "I don't need this". The joy and unexplainable peaceful was awesome. Just yesterday I deleted the insta and twitter. Of course I'll probably have dummy accounts for work but I am done with Social media. Time to be a creator 🌟. Thank you for the awesome video Ezinne🌹.
Not too long ago, I saw a post of some Instgram influencers and I showed my friend, laughing and saying out loud that that's the life I want to live, I just want to enjoy 😂. I was “broke” at the time, that's why💀 Thank God for the Holy Spirit restructuring my desires and helping me constantly find satisfaction in him. Thanks Ezinne😅✨
I find that when you’re on social media a lot instead of focusing on what you’re meant to do, it becomes very easy to begin to compare your life to others and be green with envy and this is the part I’m working on. I find also that the reason we’re on it a lot is because of the validation we so desperately seek sometimes so I’ve told myself to get off SM and let God validate me instead and fill that space that so desperately needs to be validated. And just recently I started a gratitude challenge, thanking God for every big and little thing I experience in my daily living, and that has helped magnified those little thing leading to contentment...thanks again Ezinne💓
I love watching your videos! I remember the first day when I bumped into the one where you talked about breaking generational curses and then proceeded to watch about 5 other videos still from this channel. By the end of the next day I remember feeling so insufficient about my life in comparison to yours. I had to even take a break from your videos for a few days . Now as I'm watching this particular one that I've actually been skipping for a while, I'm realising how even the people we sort of envy have before or still do envy others. It's such a cycle of bondage and deception from the enemy. Yet the truth is that we truly own nothing. Everything we have we have received. As Myles Munroe says, we are just but custodians of God's property; given to us for His own Kingdom purposes that He may express His Kingdom and His will and Self *through* us.

It's more triggering when the person is your age or younger! 🤭🤭🤭 I remember one time when I was scrolling through Instagram and I saw the post of a popular presenter whom I felt had the kind of life I wanted for myself as at that time, and I was just finding out that we are age mates! Hatred welled up inside of me. Immediately I said to myself 'Ifechi, you're now a hater o, this is how witchcraft starts!' 🤭 I repented immediately and asked God to help me.... The struggle is real 🥺
I have been in this place for a long time because I'm someone who always wants to be the best and at the top and so it affected me a lot. So recently I started honouring men intentionally. The Holy Spirit told me to write the names of everyone who I see is living out purpose who I am jealous and envious of and that I should pray for them and what they are doing, call them and tell them how much I honour them. It worked! Now the Holy Spirit tells me what to pray for them and I am being content helping them out with what they are doing as the Lord leads me😌..thank you Ezinne..I love you❣️

Praying for people you feel jealous or angry towards works. I felt a bit jealous and angry about some people and those who had offended me. I remembered I had listened to another great woman of God who had spoke about praying for someone who had betrayed her and she was able to forgive her. Not that they 'betrayed' me, but I figured I would let go of those Godless feeliings in my heart if I did. So, I started praying for them and I stopped feeling that way (I get twinges here and there but not that much as it used to be - I should probably keep praying more.

Hatred welled up inside of me. Immediately I said to myself 'Ifechi, you're now a hater o, this is how witchcraft starts!' 🤭 I repented immediately and asked God to help me.... The struggle is real 🥺
I have been in this place for a long time because I'm someone who always wants to be the best and at the top and so it affected me a lot.
So recently I started honouring men intentionally.
The Holy Spirit told me to write the names of everyone who I see is living out purpose who I am jealous and envious of and that I should pray for them and what they are doing, call them and tell them how much I honour them.
It worked!
Now the Holy Spirit tells me what to pray for them and I am being content helping them out with what they are doing as the Lord leads me😌..thank you Ezinne..I love you❣️
I battled with comparison for a long time it took my mum to sit me down and make me see how blessed I was

Praying for people you feel jealous or angry towards works. I felt a bit jealous and angry about some people and those who had offended me. I remembered I had listened to another great woman of God who had spoke about praying for someone who had betrayed her and she was able to forgive her. Not that they 'betrayed' me, but I figured I would let go of those Godless feeliings in my heart if I did. So, I started praying for them and I stopped feeling that way (I get twinges here and there but not that much as it used to be - I should probably keep praying more.
