Only an hour before I found this video, a bearish crossover occurred on the Stoch indicator of a crypto that I have my eye on - which was a perfect example of this strategy working as it should. Had I have had any skin in the game, then I would have profited 1.7x - and then on the next two candles the price fell further still with a hefty profit on top. at 9:53 the risk to reward ratio is 1.91, and you say it is almost 200% return, when the stock has only moved down 0.68%, so how can you turn 100 dollars into 200 dollars if the stock only moves 0.68%. You can't, this is a noobs strategy which in the long run loses money. It's a poor mans version of the strategy that a trader called Christy uses but the way she uses it along with price action yields higher win rates and returns.

Sorry...BUT... I looked closely, but it just DOESN'T MAKE SENSE to me. After all, right at 9:29 min. you set the START of the short position at the first cross /blue line above red line + red candle/, and at the same time the END of the short position according to the nearest opposite cross that has not yet occurred!! You can only show that now, because the cross has already taken place, but at the beginning of the trade it's impossible... What kind of nonsense is this?
Hi MTJ, I have recently signed up for Premium Tradingview so that I can use the indicators you are suggesting (Love Them! Thanks) but my Trading view looks like the beginner view compared to yours. Things like the settings and entire screen view look like the "Home Edition" compare to yours "Professional view" any idea what ins up with that? Is it that the 30 day trial of the premium is "dumbed down"? That seems like a stupid sales proposition! thanks in advance for responding.
So what you're saying is, you don't use what you're showing us to use? Also, it's really easy to say buy or sell at a cross when it's already happened. If those candles were live, those lines on the stohchasic could've easily bounced off on another. You're showing us something that has already happened.
You cannot put the entry above the close of the actual crossover candle. The price may just never go back up again there. So this is misleading the way it is explained.
Looks like you are giving entry examples that are on candles that haven't yet closed and you say stochastic has crossed, but that's with hindsight. So entries wouldn't be where you say. Not saying it won't be good but just not what you are saying here.
I quickly coded the strategy in TV. Not too bad for so simple conditions. Stoch %K length of 7 works a bit better and one has to play around with SL lookback period and TP of course. I'm sure one can tweak it a bit more to get better backtesting.

That's because he doesn't tell people he is trading high lot sizes. If you check the quantity its 5000 something of lot size
that's why you put a stop loss, so if it doesn't work out you won't lose much
It's the R to R ratio. The take profit was 3.2 times bigger than the stop loss range from entry.

Hi MTJ, I have recently signed up for Premium Tradingview so that I can use the indicators you are suggesting (Love Them! Thanks) but my Trading view looks like the beginner view compared to yours. Things like the settings and entire screen view look like the "Home Edition" compare to yours "Professional view" any idea what ins up with that? Is it that the 30 day trial of the premium is "dumbed down"? That seems like a stupid sales proposition! thanks in advance for responding.
So what you're saying is, you don't use what you're showing us to use? Also, it's really easy to say buy or sell at a cross when it's already happened. If those candles were live, those lines on the stohchasic could've easily bounced off on another. You're showing us something that has already happened.
that's why you put a stop loss, so if it doesn't work out you won't lose much
time frame?

You cannot put the entry above the close of the actual crossover candle. The price may just never go back up again there. So this is misleading the way it is explained.

Looks like you are giving entry examples that are on candles that haven't yet closed and you say stochastic has crossed, but that's with hindsight. So entries wouldn't be where you say. Not saying it won't be good but just not what you are saying here.
thats exactly what I was going to say, these are lagging indicators they dont work live so hes still taking a gamble i feel like
I quickly coded the strategy in TV. Not too bad for so simple conditions. Stoch %K length of 7 works a bit better and one has to play around with SL lookback period and TP of course. I'm sure one can tweak it a bit more to get better backtesting.
what's your winrate using this strategy?
