I try out the Swiff Audio WS-70+ Plus UHF Wireless System (sent to me by Lekato) with a few instruments including electro acoustic ukulele, electric ukulele, bass ukuleles, mini basses and U-Bass.
With sound demos and even an IPad test I show how you can get rid of cables and go wireless.

These are great, I have been using them for about 8 months now and they are a vast improvement over the ones I used before. They have longer battery life and more frequencies, so not as limiting with other wireless uses. I have experienced, in the past, a sudden loss of sound when another performer has turned onto the same frequency as me. So, I'm a big fan of the Swiff. Also easy to pair the receiver and transmitter.
Hi Fran, yes I have use them lots since this video and every time I find they do a great job with no issues. 👍
Good to know that now are enough frequencies even for a small Big Band! :-)
Excellent review of what looks like a very useful and versatile piece of equipment.
Another well done review. I've been interested in trying a wireless setup but I'm not ready to pay the price quite yet. Thank you.
Thanks Rachel. Very informative, these appear to be pretty good.
I’ve had the Kvive for around a year and like them quite a bit. The drawback was when I used two sets, one set for the bass and one set for the GP 100 after a little bit it gets a very loud buzz. These may do the trick.
Let me know if the buzz disappears if you try them Loree. 🤞
I especially like the low latency. I can't find any mention of changeable plug from standard to mini, not even on Swiff's home site. My current Joyo jw-03 wireless latency is supposedly 5ms, quite noticeable. Nice piece of kit if I can find the changeable plug. Another good review.
Thanks Alan. I think it is the plus ( + ) that has the changing plug.
I like the look.. but instead got a Snail electro acoustic.. soprano.. so I can sit on the sofa and cause sound mayhem! I fiddle on a Harley Benton uke Bass.. I’ve had a long time.. it’s ok but I fancied something slimmer.. All good things Rachel.. love love your videos x
Good choice Jo and I am loving the thought of sound mayhem. 😎
Hello Rachel, can I ask please if you’ve come across the Fender Fullerton bass uke? Jo x
Hi Jo, I haven't owned but have tried it. Not very impressed to be honest and definitely not my cup of tea in terms of looks - and I am a BIG Fender fan of their bass guitars. Are you considering buying one?
Off topic but since I happened across your channel I’ve not only binge watched most of the videos available but I’ve been looking up U-Basses. Found a Kala Rambler Mahogany on Marketplace for $200 USD. I’m new to uke with a Flea Soprano, is there anything I should look for when I check out this bass in person ? It’s 1 town away so I’d be checking it out in person. Thank you for any insight.
Hi and so glad to hear you are enjoying! You are right to try it in person, especially if it's used. The biggest thing to check is the string volume - is it consistent? A common issue is that 1 or even 2 strings can be quieter. Sometimes it can be fixed, sometimes not. Also see how much string is wrapped around the tuning peg. If it is full, this can cause issues with the tuning machine breaking. Last thing I would check is that the electrics / tuner / tone / volume are all working correctly. Hope these help and good luck, I hope it's a good one. 🤞
@@UkuleleWales Greeting from CA, thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. I've been a bit hesitant to go check it out, now I have a starting point to work from.
Wireless is great but true analog 0ms latency feels the best unfortunately. I hope they are going to achieve sub-1ms at some point lol. But having no leash is also a great feeling especially if you play a lot!
Hi Rachel, does it work to Roland SPD30 electric drum pad? Transmitter input to Roland drum pad and Receiver directly to the sound console mixer? Thanks in advance. God Bless 😊
Hi Brian, difficult to tell as I don't have a drum pad to try it but if you would normally connect using a cable, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Hi, I played a gig a few weeks ago, i have an electric acoustic uke. My uke wasn't pluged into any amps but others were. With other ukes being plugged in i couldn't hear what i was playing and have been looking at amplugs to atatch headphones to so i can hear what im doing. These look like great will they take headphones so i can hear my uke.
Hope ive explained myself ok. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank Alan.
Hi Alan, I totally understand what you mean. Try using a Guitar Headphone Amplifier (search Amazon, the Vox is good). Just be careful you can still hear the other players if you are wearing headphones.
Thanks for the video. I'm having a hard time finding the WS-70+ version in the states. Does anyone know if the WS-50 and the WS-70 have 3.5mm and 1/4 plugs?

Here is an Amazon link.
@@UkuleleWales Thank you so much for sending the link my dear👍Odd thing though, the link pulls up in Amazon US, which is good, and item pictured in photo is Swiff Audi WS-70+, but when you look through listing and put it in your cart it's a POGOLAB Wireless. I've provided a question as to what item is actually being offered so hopefully the seller will clear things up. Thanks again, cheers!
