Jeera Biscuits Recipe | Easy Tea Time Snack Recipe | Beat Batter Bake With Upasana

At times, its tough to come up with something innovative for our everyday Tea Time munching. Upasana brings you this simple to assemble and easy to make Jeera Biscuits for your tea time. So enjoy your tea time with your family with this delicious Jeera Biscuits and let us know how it turned out!
Ingredients
100 gms Butter
2 tbsp Powdered Sugar
195 gms Refined Flour
¼ tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Jeera (Cumin)
2 tbsp Milk
Method
- In a bowl, mix butter and powdered sugar together. Beat this mixture till it becomes creamy.
- Once the butter and sugar cream is done, mix refined flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and jeera to this and mix them well. (Dry roast the jeera)
- Add milk and form a dough out of this mixture.
- Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll the dough and sprinkle jeera on top. Slightly roll the dough all over again.
- Cut cookies as per your choices.
- Bake these cookies at 160° in a pre heated oven for 20 minutes. (Check post 15 minutes)
- Enjoy these biscuits with a cup of coffee or tea.

Unexpectedly, the biscuits turned out to be delicious 🤤, unexpectedly because even though I knew they were jeera biscuits, I somehow thought 💭 they’d be sweet to taste but once I got used to the taste, they turned out to be better than I thought they would be.

The biscuits were quite salty and they were less sweet than expected. I recommend to taste the dough before baking it.

Followed the recipe. Turned out awesome. I think key is that you have to use sufficient amount of butter and whisk it for some time. That is what I did not two in my two attempts before. This time its perfect as how things should be :)

I have 1 question i.e. other youtuber/recipe books takes 50g of butter for 120g of all purpose flour and you take 100g of butter for 195g of all purpose flour why it so such difference in butter can you please explain me.
