All that bird action is bound to attract a sparrow hawk too! Bonus!
Yeh I had a few fly bys from Sparrowhawks
Another cracking video mate !

That was a good watch! Look forward to seeing how the birch log pans out with the woodpeckers. 👍
Thanks John, couldn't believe it when it came down as i packed up!! That's wildlife photography for you👍😆📸

Hey Simon! Nice relaxing video... watching you do all of the work! funny.... I enjoy doing setups as well. It's fun creating a scene for our wildlife actors to enhance or idea... Looking forward to seeing the next one! Sayin' hey... Greg
Thanks for that Greg, yeh its a bit of graft but as Hannibal said on the A Team, "I love it when a plan comes together!"😆 now where are those woodpeckers?👍📸
Get yourself a wood burner in there Simon 😂. Really good tips I’m learning from these 3 videos I’ve watched so far, cheers mate.
I wish it was big enough or i would!!😆Thanks for the sub 👍👊
"Like a Fig roll" 🙂. Be ace if the Ravens came down. One of my favourite birds for sure. Tell ya what that log was a lump. Proper work out carrying that through the forest 👍. Nice one Simon . Look forward to seeing how the Birch post gets on
Cheers Rick, a chocolate hobnob would have been even better!! We'll get those Woodpeckers down soon, couldn't believe it when one landed as i packed up 😆
Haha that so much me today carrying a silver birch with fungi on it 😅
Just stumbled across your channel. Appreciate your style and creative ideas for bird photography. Have liked and subscribed. Keep up the brilliant work.
Thanks Pete, welcome to the channel and thanks for the sub👍📸
Great effort with great results
Thankyou Roger👍
Just sort of getting into wildlife photography (or at least will be once we're allowed back out), and really enjoyed that. Great idea with the holes and fat balls, I will definitely try that.
As for your feet, I would suggest putting a big thick lump of high density foam down to rest them on, it will stop a lot of cold coming up through the soles of your boots.
Nice tip Michael, another good idea for the back locker👍🏼
Hi Simon. Just come across you this evening. Enjoyed that video and look forward to many more. I too, enjoy wildlife photography with my own set-up, including a Reflection Pool. May bump into you, as i`m just down the M65. Good Luck.
Thanks Lee, yeh always good to bump into other snappers to share ideas, keep in touch if you fancy a try down here sometime👍📸
Hi Simon. Just found your channel. Great vid . Subbed 👍
Thanks Rich, welcome to the channel👍🏼
Hi Simon, liked and subscribed, i just invested in an electric vest that runs off a small powerbank, bought through amazon £30, for sitting in the hide it is brilliant , three heat levels, keeps your core nice and warm, highly recommend. Keep up the vlogs 👍
Cheers, will do. Theres some great gear now on the market to keep you warm. Back in the day it was an arran jumper and a hot water bottle!! 😆
Brill again, your rapidly becoming my mentor…….. great idea with the birch post, i've been taking a couple of feeders, have a boot like a petshop, with food. Do you think can put too much out?
Nice Vizsla Simon mines is 3...
Great dogs aren't they👍🏼👍🏼
@@simoneardley they are one of the best, is the other 2 wirehaired GSP's lovely too.
Love your content, local to me, which is nice. Have you tried battery heated socks ? I kid you not! I use them whilst mt biking, and now for camera walks too! not expensive and well worth it. Looking forward to more content. Sarah
I've got some Sarah, Christopher present last year👍👌nowt worse than cold feet and hands🥶Thanks for watching, atb Si 🙂
Hi Simon,
I really enjoy your laid back style, it suits me to a tee. Could you please tell me what the brand of clothing that you always have on? It's the gear with the little fox logo. I need to find a suitable, out of the way, paddock where I could set up a temp blind and some feeders. Unfortunately, we don't have Woody and his mates down here in Australia. Regards, Bruce
Hi Bruce, welcome to the channel. Hope things are all good down under. The clothing brand is Fjallraven, a swedish company. I love their products but also their manufacturing ethos . Its not cheap gear but its top quality. All the best.
What is your preference please, Peanuts or crushed Peanuts in your feeders? Great Vlog, I love all the tips.
I generally use whole peanuts and also a generic mixed bird seed. Niger is good if im targetting Goldfinches
How does Jacob get the figs in the figrolls .
good point!!!🤔🤔😂
Hi Simon,
Great video, some interesting tips.
I have heard that smearing peanut butter down the side of a tree's bark attracts the birds.
Have you ever tried this method ?...😎👍
Thanks Eddie, yeh ive heard about that but to be honest its not really to be encouraged as the birds get their feathers clogged up when they brush against it due to the high oil content in it and have trouble with their flight..😩👀📷
A man after my own heart a brew ginger nuts or fig rolls and freezing feet in welly’s
Haha, gotta have a few creature comforts. I even got some heated socks for chrimbo, theyre going on this week definitely!!😆🔥
Them dogs should be helping ‘ instead of just playing around
Haha, not much chance there !!😆
Bring a hot water bottle for your tosies ‘ and a big flask of boiling water to reheat it 🤓
Not thought of that one Martin, nice 👍🏼
You're allowed to destroy habitat like that?
🤔It was a dead tree
How is removing a fallen tree destroying the habit??
