- I used 2*2in*2mm thick Black Iron for this project at exactly one length of square tubing. The bag is 25kg. Please Like and SUBSCRIBE if you like the video. Thanks.
Things Needed...
2*2 steel tubing one length
welding machine, mine i used 200amp DC inverter type
6013 welding rod
grinder cutter
25kg punch bag
Total costs for all the materials in Philippine Peso is P3,890 only. not including the labor and electricity.
The heavy bag stand design is proven to be stable for light workouts, but if you are a heavy puncher then you need to make a heavier design to prevent the stand from moving.
Thank You for Watching.
Thanks!
This is really what i need during a lockdown
keep it going. one way to keep healthy.
Nice po pagkakitaan yan sir👍👍 good job
Nice and Good Info 👍❤️... For martial arts lover
Your welding is better than your boxing😆. Just kidding, nicely done. How much was the cost for the metal?
hahahaha can't believe you watched till the last part. the cost of the square tubular in philippine peso is arround 900 pesos each length of 20 feet.
That's dope could ya use flux core mig on that thickness of metal ? btw new to welding know nothing..
yes you can use flux core. but i would still choose stick rod for this structure. especially if the weight that you will use is heavier than 60kg.
No need counterweight? It's a serious question. I'm really interested in making this but I didnt notice a counterweight.
you will need a counter weight if you will use it for real boxing training. im using it for light exercise only.
@@Baryamanin Ahh thanks.
@@ShiiitIDK welcome sir, thanks for watching.
Did it hold up to you beating the crsp out the bag?. I'm bout to build one and I like the idea you started with. Just let me know if you would change anything before I start this weekend is my project. Thanks
if there is one thing i would change with the design, i will make the footing a little bit longer, maybe add 8 inches each of them three base footings and then weld a 1 inch tube at the end of each so that i can load my dumbell plates on. BEACAUSE yeah it moves a lot if you are a heavy puncher. hahaha. i hope i explained it well here. thanks for watching.
@@Baryamanin ok I see🤔 I shall make revised design .
I have 24 foot joint of 2"x2"x1/8" if not solid I'll back fill with cement. And good idea for adding weight plates. Yes my wife is very heavy puncher this why I'm train so she dont beatup on me no more🤣
@@alexviscardi924 nice! will you upload it after making it?
@@Baryamanin yes I will try to video but I do not have the editor for video
Do you get much movement in it with say elbows
yes just a little movement. need to make it heavy.
@@Baryamanin thanks. I might make one outside and bolt it to the concrete
@@kuharua54 good idea.

How much did all the materials. Cost?
cant remember. i think i have answered that question int the previous comment.
amazing work have you made any other or was that a one time deal
Was only one time, i shifted to making computer tables which is easier to sell. 😂
pinoy ka pala. pwede mong pagkakitaan ang paggawa ng ganyan brod. Wala kang maoorder na ganyan online dto sa pinas. Kung meron man napakamahal. Saan ba location mo pre ipm mo ko baka malapit lang tayo papagawa ako?
In your plan, you have the dimensions written in meters or inches 40cm 70cm 200cm?
I use centimeters sir.
@@Baryamanin Thanks for the answer. And the stand does you have a square tube of 5cm X 5cm?
@@Honda600slo it is equivalent to 5cm * 5cm
Hey, can i ask that how many meter iron cube hade you use to make the stand in all?
it was exactly 6meters
What number stick . ? And size steal ?
6013 3/32 metal size is 2"*2"*1.5mm thick *6m lentgh
How much did you spend
around 3,800 for materials and bag
How much in dollars with$500 dollars I can buy a new one
@@jvazquez7160 At USD 1 = PhP 1 that's about $38. But it could differ in the place you live. Materials could cost higher or lower. So, it could help to have a budget a bit higher than the converted cost I stated.
How heavy your stand can handle without any problem?
it cannot handle if you are punching hard, you need to make it heavier, maybe add some weights on its footing.
How much did the metal cost ?
2*2 steel only costs 900pesos
Where did you get the mount?
you mean the thing where i hang the bag?
I would like to point out several things I think are crucial for getting the most out of your home heavy bag. The vertical part of the stand is way to close to the bag. The bag has to move freely and since your bag is very small it will hit the barrel all the time. Second - these long triangle legs on the floor will get on the way of your feet. So the only way you will be able to approach the bag is from the front. This will limit your experience of working with a punching bag. The best way to put your bag is to hang it from the ceiling, where it can move freely and you can move freely around it and punch it from different directions, get in and out. That is why most of the people don't get punching bags in their houses - it needs tons of space. It still might be good for children and beginners that only just are starting to enjoy the sport. Another alternative for in-house boxing equipment might be a double end bag. It will need some space as well but is way easier to install and no need to build any structure for it - just a hook in the ceiling and something heavy on the floor. As a bonus, you can uninstall it any moment you need your space back. check some videos on youtube. Cheers.
you have a point. but for some circumstances to consider, this is very ideal, for example, i am renting an apartment that does not allow drilling on any walls, 2nd there is no available bigger bag for sale in my area, this is much i can buy, 3rd i am not training for boxing or any fight, this is just used for morning 30 mins exercise.
Thanks for Watching...
Bro the video says how to make a punching bag STAND and not how to hang your boxing bag... As he said some guys are renting and can not open any drills on their houses so they can not hang their bag... And I train 2 years for mma and you don't have to move around the bag to train(it's not necessary not that it's wrong)
@@ermandseganakou3370 Thats exactly my point. Thanks for dropping by.
@@Baryamanin As i reread what I wrote I found my message a bit more aggressive than I intended. I will rephrase it so i hope it will sound more like a suggestion for improvement instead of judgment. My bad. Ermand, if you train for 2 years already you better start to move around your bag lol. And i dont mean full 360 running around. Simply treat it as an actual opponent: keep your distance, get inside and outside, change angles and levels - it might simply enrich your experience working on the bag. If you dont trust me on that one its totally fine, i am a nobody from youtube, but you might check some respectable trainers and sportsmen. Again, not a judgment, just a suggestion. Have a good evening, gentlemen.
@@yotamfreyman684 Brother, you got a point, they got a point. But as stressed, most of us live in some apartments that don't allow any drilling. So this is the best that you can do. Just to sweat it out at home and do some punches for cardio and that's it. What you are suggesting is to hang the braces up on the wall which is good for moving freely. But we don't have that much space to move around and we don't usually own our space. Unless you have your own garage, hanging the bag there is much better. But for this, you can take this out or keep it inside your space anytime. But you are right with the vertical bar that's got too close to the trunk. It should have been longer so the bag won't be hitting the bar when you hit hard.
Does it move when you punch hard?
A little bit if you hit it very hard. but it is stable for exercise purpose only
@@Baryamanin You think that could be fixed by adding some weights or filling the bottom feet with sand all the way and welding it shut?
@@Nenad1000able bolt it to the floor

What was the total cost of the materials used? Thanks
Hi, I used 2*2inches 1.5mm guage square tubing at exactly one length which is 20feet long. It costs 850 Philippines pesos, i consumed almost one kilo welding stick, costs 125pesos/kilo. Extra cost is cutting disk and grinding disc.
The heavy bag i got it for 2,300 pesos. it is 25kg.
@@Baryamanin thank you bro
Tanong lang kuya, pwde na ba ang 2x2 1.5mm sa paggawa ng loftbed?
pwede po, matibay na yan. basta maganda pagka welding.

DIYs are supposed to be easy for everyone. I hate DIY’s that require tools or a procedures that are more expensive then the product. Or DIYS that assume everyone has a table saw or circular saw or welder or any type of equipment that requires a separate talent. Sure This is a DIY, but for a guy who already does this for a living. SMH
im not doing this for a living, I made it for personal use. I do not have enough energy to do things like this for income purpose.. I did it for the main reason that I hate paying over charged labor cost for things that I can do by my self. Thank you for dropping by.
@@Baryamanin taking nothing away from you or your talents brotha. You got skills, and apparently I don’t. Lol
Make sure you at least wear leather gloves and a 100% cotton hoodie for safety purposes. Don't forget a face shield either because those cutting wheels can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. (if there's a chip in the edge don't use the wheel or it can catch on the metal and shatter and fuck you up) also CLAMP THAT SHIT DOWN and use both hands on the angle grinder. You're just asking for it to kick back into your face or the piece of metal to fly off and hurt yourself or others around you.
Good advice. Thank you. Since that video, i have already invested into safety gears...
@@Baryamanin Good man. Setting a good example is just as important as your own safety.
