Honestly, they don't need a lead singer(to replace Freddie, no one can do that job). Brian and Roger both have beautiful voices. They could go on tour just them and a bassist. (In a perfect world John would play with them.)
No, Queen was a band with four members, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor. Deacon left in the late 90s, his last recording with the band was No One But You, from the 1997 compilation "Queen Rocks". This is a NEW BAND, including Brian May and Roger Taylor only, so there's no QUEEN anywhere here, with Paul Rodgers.
yeah he made a mistake at 2.40 but as people are saying he was with 2 or 3 different bands befor this one he cant just remember all of the words for every single song paul rodgers is a great singer any 1 calls him a bet yous cant sing as good as him FREDDIE RIP
I can't belive you people. He just made a little mistake and he sucks. Well, people who think he sucks, say someone who can sing with Queen. You go sing with them, and we will see how good you are. I think Paul Rodgers is the best choice. Long live Queen&Paul Rodgers.
He is but didn't rule out working again in the future. However, currently they have no plan of touring. There is a chance of a small American tour with the American Idol runner up Adam Lambert, but that's in limbo because of his contract with FOX.
you made laugh my friend, thank you. i think i must give you the higher mark of the class. they were called "smile" before freddie joined the band. but i'm talking about history, a career that grew up with four members, an identity of the band QUEEN, and this very far from that. this is a new band, they should find a new name. i'm sorry if i didn't pass your test. jajajajajajjajajaja
Actually both sides have shown interest publicly for a few shows. Additionally Brian May mentioned in his newsletter that they are planning a potential "one-and-out" concert of some kind (though not necessarily with any particular lead singer) which they have not given any details on for 2010. Otherwise he mentioned that they will not be touring and are focusing on other projects for the year as of now. You're entitled to your opinion, but just making up stuff to suit yourself isn't right.
He's probably just easing himself in. It looks like it's gonna be a big tour, so he might be using the first few shows to warm his voice up a bit before he lets it rip.
The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert version was much more powerful even with Paul Young on lead vocals. To be fair, this Queen lineup without John Deacon has no drive. I miss Deacons melodic technique.
Roger is great here, he looks much better than he did the last tour. But Pauls voice seems to have less power as usual, I hope that he doesn´t have problems with his voice.
will every 1 stop bashing paul rogers yes hes no where neer as good as freddie was yes the band should have changed its name to somthing apart from queen but im thankfull to paul rogers coz at least i still get to see brian and roger and ill take that rather than nothing rip freddie god save the queen
is difficult learn more than 50 songs played live perfectly when not even is your band, Paul is human and can be wrong, he is a good singer and I like his style! Is not as good as Freddie, but I prefer this to nothing ;)
na se avessero voluto solo soldi non si sarebbero cimentati nel registrare un album di inediti...e poi se veramente volevano soldi non aspettavano oltre 15 anni per tornare sulle scene...potevano godersi la loro pensione dorata come sta facendo john deacon
very pleased to see they finally discovered the versatility of videoscreening...great visuals!
musically superb as usual.
GREAT
totally agree with that last bit!
freddie,
Like all good things on you we depend
So stick around cos we might miss you.
Honestly, they don't need a lead singer(to replace Freddie, no one can do that job). Brian and Roger both have beautiful voices. They could go on tour just them and a bassist. (In a perfect world John would play with them.)
best.
Nice drumming Rog! Sounds much better than the prerecording backing of 2005/6...
il y a les bons et il y a les génies....
1997. Performed No-One But You With Brain And Roger. And Performed The Show Must Go On In 1997 At The Royal Ballet With Brian Roger And Elton John
if you notice he sang this: "ww watched the star show, we watched the shows"

may said that this was to remind the audience that this is live.
I believe it was only released on iTunes as a special.
this wasnt in the US movie "Let the cosmos Rock"...for some reason they cut it out : (
Because the concert itself was free. You get a lot of people just there for the spectacle.
this was a reply to some guy saying queen are trying too hard
yeah he made a mistake at 2.40 but as people are saying he was with 2 or 3 different bands befor this one he cant just remember all of the words for every single song paul rodgers is a great singer any 1 calls him a bet yous cant sing as good as him FREDDIE RIP
u are right Dinosaurio9341
@linkaegar It's not an important mistake, he sang stars instead of show.
"We watch the show, we watch the stars, on videos, for hours and hours"
I can't belive you people. He just made a little mistake and he sucks. Well, people who think he sucks, say someone who can sing with Queen. You go sing with them, and we will see how good you are. I think Paul Rodgers is the best choice. Long live Queen&Paul Rodgers.

I'd read a couple of months ago that PR was going back to Bad Company and wouldn't continue to work with Queen anymore
its great.roger plays awesome.yeah,ok,paul made a little mistake, but he rocks.of course we all want freddie!! RIP

no, is brian may + roger taylor + paul rodgers.
@beatlegreg07 Hmmm, actually Paul Rodgers was born 17 December 1949, and Freddie was born 5 September 1946. Just saying.
He's probably just easing himself in.
It looks like it's gonna be a big tour, so he might be using the first few shows to warm his voice up a bit before he lets it rip.
@iboibi What mistake?
He's no Freddie Mercury. But who cares? Paul is a superb singer. He is just as good as Freddie was.
difatti mica lo imita paul....interpreta a suo modo le canzone dei queen e lo fa con grande originalità
@Khrysalis01 my bad.
Woops paul messed up at 2:40
Тогда, в толпе, начали хлопать в такт, еще до звука, толька увидили видеоряд на экранах, имхо рулез...

1998 Not 1992.
Roger is great here, he looks much better than he did the last tour.

no freddie. no queen. its truly embarrassing this. john deacon knew when to quit. good man.
They aren't trying to
@linkaegar 2:40
audio is fucked up
PR: let Roger sing his songs , because yo destroy them...
will every 1 stop bashing paul rogers yes hes no where neer as good as freddie was yes the band should have changed its name to somthing apart from queen but im thankfull to paul rogers coz at least i still get to see brian and roger and ill take that rather than nothing rip freddie god save the queen
Paul looks tired and had sang much better the years before. But hey... we all are humans with a bad day sometimes and we all make mistakes.
well, this is not queen.
Its funny, majority of the crowd don't know how to do the clap during the chorus. So sad.
is difficult learn more than 50 songs played live perfectly when not even is your band, Paul is human and can be wrong, he is a good singer and I like his style! Is not as good as Freddie, but I prefer this to nothing ;)
only freddy can sing this song....those are not the queen that's a cover band...
Paul should chop off a bit of hair from the back portion of his wig. It's not very "hip" looking.
it shows how crap paul rodgers is at 2.40
was better when roger sang most of it
na se avessero voluto solo soldi non si sarebbero cimentati nel registrare un album di inediti...e poi se veramente volevano soldi non aspettavano oltre 15 anni per tornare sulle scene...potevano godersi la loro pensione dorata come sta facendo john deacon
What cold audience!!!
Forgive them, God Mercury, They don't know what they're doing
We watch the stars or shows? jaja. Paul you should take something for the alzhemier, it's becoming a problem for your work
