      inam korimbocus you’re absolutely right, it’s a shame we never invest thought and time into the whale after it leaves , all anyone ever wants to do is see the whale , but do they really feel and understand the whale ??
      no , they do not .. and they never whale

      The whale had heard stories, from gold fish that had survived being flushed down the toilet, of small mysterious human like like creatures that stood still at the bottom of the tank and blew bubbles 24/7. The whale never believed those legends, until this day! ;-)

      Most marine life are curious about humans because usually divers are in scuba gear, and they look far different than anything else an ocean animal has seen in their entire life. The experience is exhilarating for both species.

      Flowers osdfv It was far out in the distance so it wasn't so bad hahah. The tour guide just told us to get back in the boat. They're really not terrifying at all. The only thing scary about them is their sheer size. Otherwise, they're such peaceful and majestic creatures. Rather be in the water with them than a shark any day!!!

      15 minutes, all marine life would die off within 20 minutes, mile high tsunamis of shit water would begin battering the coastlines of every continent in the world within 25 minutes, stretching as far as 300 miles inland, casualties would be in the hundreds of millions, and all the world's oceans would remain brown and contaminated with shit for approximately 400,000,000 years.

    I saw these photo's a few years ago and they are awesome! I just want to say to Brian, no need to freeze your ass off in the cold Southern Ocean to get up close with a Southern Right Whale. My hometown, Hermanus, South Africa is a prime spot to view these great animals up close. I get to see them (and hear them) most days when they visit this coast from June till November. On 6 December this year, Dr. Sylvia Earl, founder of Mission Blue, will inaugurate the Cape Whale Coast Hope Spot by unveiling a plaque 10m under the water near the Old Harbor in Hermanus. The cliffs around the Old Harbor offers some of the best land based whale watching in the world, and it is possible to come within 30m of these awesome creatures with your feet still firmly on dry land.

      Move to Australia & taht will change lol one of my neighbours locks her door whenever there's lizards around, another just shooes them outside when they come into his living room to watch tv with his dog. The brush turkeys seem to like my roof (and sound like a herd of elephants up there lol) the possums like another neighbour's roof (well brush tail, the ring tails like the BBQ on a different neighbour's veranda) The tawney frogmouths like to sit on the "no standing" street sign & watch everyone pass by, the noisy minors swoop everyone, the magpies only swoop the postman, the lorrikeets wake me up at 6am everymorning knocking on the window while eating their bottlebrush breakfast - that's if the kookaburras didn't wake me up at 5am or the koels at 4am. Wildlife here seem to enjoy people even more than people enjoy them & approach everyone for all sorts of entertaining reasons :)

    The only way to experience things like this amazing random encounter is to get out there on your kayak or in your divers suit and get out there often. Quit dreaming about it and do it. I get exhilarated just Kayaking with 20 or so dolphins jumping around my boat, or chasing after a pair of pilot whales. Something like this would probably bring me to tears. It's not going to happen in front of a TV set people. Got to get out there.

    • @ppp9922
      @ppp9922 9 лет назад +2

      Yolo Swaggins its not sea creatures i am scared of. its just the openness of the water.
      like yea if i saw i shark i would be scared but i am not going be scared of the possibility of one.
      its like people who are scared of the dark when they know there isn't anything there. its just the unknown that is scary.

    • @Kalernor
      @Kalernor 9 лет назад

      +Jonathan Canfield interesting I think thats a pretty understandable fear but I don't know how to get over it because there really is nothing in reality that could be dangerous about open water. Maybe try taking a scuba-diving course and going on a few not so deep dives. Maybe getting comfortable and capable underwater will give you the confidence of swimming anywhere with no fears.

      The reason he didn't film is because the crew never had the rights to film, only pictures therefore only had an under water camera to take. It may be hard to believe but you can believe what you want, he had all the proof from pictures on the boat with the guy in this documentary and the wetsuit he used in this very photo. Legend.
