the ancient mososaurus killed whales in an interesting way. it started by biting its fins, and twisting them so that the whale cannot move. then it slowly tears it apart piece by piece. fun times

I already knew that though. Woolly mammoths are a very young species. They only appeared around 400 000 years ago. Many animals alive today have been around for a lot longer than that
@@beastinfection638 yes i indeed already knew that 🤓
I think most people who are versed on the subject, know that elephants are MUCH older than mammoths, and mammoths evolved from elephants.
But what a lot of people assume, is that mammoths were the largest of the elephant family. And this has mostly to do with the name "mammoth", and the way they have been portrayed in modern popular culture. Now some mammoths species were larger than modern elephants, like the Steppe Mammoth. But most of them were similar sized, or smaller than modern elephant species. But the largest proboscideans to ever live were elephants, not mammoths. Species like the Straight Tusked Elephant(s), were arguably the largest mammals to EVER walk the Earth, only rivaled or exceeded in size by Paraceratherium(hornless rhinos). And various other prehistoric elephant species were also larger than the largest mammoths.

Excuse me,
The bootlace worm… is the scariest thing in the video
I gotta say i love the editing in this vid where you made the creatures look realistic as possible good work 👍
These size comparisons aren't much for accuracy but I appreciate the work you put into them.
I agree
whqts off about them?
@@diehardeaglesfansince1994well I did look up the leatherback turtle one the video says 2.7 meters and everywhere else said up to 1.8
@@diehardeaglesfansince1994 Everything about it is off, but it's still cool to look at.
@@diehardeaglesfansince1994 for example woolly mammoth was approximately 2.67 and 3.49 m (8.8 and 11.5 ft), and african elephants are 3.2-4 m (10-13 ft). So African elephants are larger. But cool video nonetheless

The Bee Hummingbird shown is actually the Violet-crowned Woodnymph (Thalurania colombica) which grows to 4" in length for males. Considerably larger than the Bee Hummingbird which are a little under 21/2" long.

some were average size of and some were largest known too
Right you are
...yeh i had to look up the Condor, 3' tall with a 3m wingspan really juked the model dimensions
Right. Like for example great white sharks can be 15-20 feet long with the females being larger then the male. That’s the average. But we have seen great white sharks longer then that. So they can be longer then 15-20 feet long. It just makes sense to use the average because that’s what’s typical to see

@@yin_xing How so?
I think the entire video is all wrong. It is just comparing the length of the animals, not the size and volume
@@JustACatWithSunglasses Most likely
Mixing length and height makes it sooo legit!
Well, measurements are tricky. 🧐 For example, four-legged animals are measured from the shoulder not the head.
Should have gone by weight.
@@BoMwarriorVlog if that’s the case than a grizzly bear would be way bigger than a tiger and lion. Yet this video shows a grizzly bear being “smaller” than the both of them.

It was so hard to watch this all the way through without pausing to research an animal.
Hahaha right, I actually almost did, I thought about it. A few of the sizes seemed way off. Still watched the video. It was sorta kinda interesting.
A lot of it is pretty vague too. Dogs, penguins, pigs, ants, all vary wildly in size depending on the species or breed.
It was difficult watching the epic fail of supposed to be a 'real scale' comparison.
There are a great many inaccuracies in this size comparison. Don't put 'real scale comparison' when you are going to be this inaccurate. The bottlenose to leopard comparison is laughable. The condor and peacock to other animals is laughable. This animator really botched this video 'real' size comparison.
...Should have put the Kodiak Grizzly standing on its hind legs at 10' if he is going to have the peacock and condor look so large.
