Infact Elephants would likely be a reduced to fossils in a few Mya in the Jurassic being outcompeted by nearly everything(Yes there was even sauropod eating therapods like Saurophaganax. Also I doubt if we can truly be certain that Elephants would really be able to contest late Jurassic herbivores because it would require unnaturally quick evolution and adaption.

    People don’t realize this but even small dwarf yet tusked elephants were capable of killing a human. Their mass and tusk combined and you’re dealing with a wild boar with bigger tusks just one that can’t bite and a bit slower. Definitely less dangerous than a modern day elephant dangerous nonetheless.

      Full size elephants can run at 40 km/h, wouldn’t the tiny ones be even faster? 🤯🤯🤯

    • @lemongrab6173
      @lemongrab6173 7 месяцев назад +5

      @@truskoysusaventuras no, large elephants are fast because with each step they cross over a meter. Small elephants have smaller feet. But biomechanically move their feet at the same frequency and speed but cover less ground. So they’re actually much slower than a large elephant. Same thing with humans. Look at all the track athletes they have proportionately longer legs than power lifters. They’re also taller than average and have smaller torsos but bigger lower mass by comparison. It’s not only exercise but also genetics. It doesn’t matter how much a powerlifting champion losses weight and starts focusing on sprinting their femurs won’t grow longer. There are many hard working people dreaming of becoming strongman and track athlete champions. But due to lacking the genetics for it no amount of exercise or technique or dieting or steroids will put them anywhere near the top 100.

    Some of these species would’ve been great for ivory traders because they either had absolutely massive tusks or had 4 tusks

    Messed this one up. Had no means of comparison since you left out the walking person to give perspective, and then for some inexplicable reason decided it'd be wise to make the camera zoom in and out nonstop through the video making it even more difficult to compare sizes? Why? This is a lesson in how NOT to make a size comparison video.
