Realising the Stegodon (5:25) was actually HUGE compared to Homo floresiensis who hunted them as they were only 1.05m tall. This whole time i had this image in my head that Homo floresiensis hunted pygmy elephants that were only a litte taller than them.. nope. Thats the same as us sapiens hunting nearly fully-grown asian elephants regularly.

Wow, I used to like animals in my childhood, and was especially into the extinct species, but never heard of a great deal of the elephants here! Their mass and tusk combined and you’re dealing with a wild boar with bigger tusks just one that can’t bite and a bit slower. It’s not only exercise but also genetics. It doesn’t matter how much a powerlifting champion losses weight and starts focusing on sprinting their femurs won’t grow longer. There are many hard working people dreaming of becoming strongman and track athlete champions. But due to lacking the genetics for it no amount of exercise or technique or dieting or steroids will put them anywhere near the top 100.
