One thing about Steven Seagal is just because he knows some martial arts. He thinks everybody needs to be scared of him, but even the strongest martial artist in the world will tell you to be a humble person. That’s why everybody loves Michael Jai White he knows what he can do to him as well as we know what he can do but he’s a humble man.
I don't condone Seagal's actions but I do try to look at things from both sides. Aikido is, as most here are probably aware of, looked down upon as a martial practice. Now I am sure Steven has caught flak for being a user of said martial art. Could the stunt man have made fun of him and pushed his limits? Probable but not likely. The thing is, there's not enough of the story for me to condemn Steven but enough of it for me to say that he should've walked away, whatever the case may have been. Putting a recognized master (by Japanese authority) against someone who at best may be a black belt flat, is like using a sledgehammer to cut glass-something is gonna get broken. M.J.W. was right to be upset but if he only caught the aftermath and not the beginnings the he was just as in the dark about the whole affair as we are. Hells, the stunt man could've picked a fight for all we know. Point is, we're getting the P.O.V. from the middle and after the altercation not rhe onset. And, I am keenly aware that Seagal is arrogant at times. I've also seen him humble. To me, someone who is quite capable of killing a man with his/her bare hands doesn't often have a short fuse. Like, flying into me trying to get to the floor. I'm just terrified by this point and my dad starts getting up to come get me. I see him start toward me and decided to run to him. Run my scared lil kid face directly into the damned glass door. Fall back into a shit load of birds. I'm screaming wide eyed at this point. I'm looking up from this feathery, beautifully scenic hell I'm in to find my dad never made it to opening the door. After running into the door he couldn't continue. This mfkr is so doubled over laughing he can't even film straight. It's just all over the place for a minute. Soon as he opened the door and yelled most of the birds just scattered and it was all over. One thing about Steven Seagal is just because he knows some martial arts. He thinks everybody needs to be scared of him, but even the strongest martial artist in the world will tell you to be a humble person. That’s why everybody loves Michael Jai White he knows what he can do to him as well as we know what he can do but he’s a humble man.
Nobody seems to realize that mastering the art of hand to hand combat means to master yourself first!
I don't condone Seagal's actions but I do try to look at things from both sides. Aikido is, as most here are probably aware of, looked down upon as a martial practice. Now I am sure Steven has caught flak for being a user of said martial art. Could the stunt man have made fun of him and pushed his limits? Probable but not likely. The thing is, there's not enough of the story for me to condemn Steven but enough of it for me to say that he should've walked away, whatever the case may have been. Putting a recognized master (by Japanese authority) against someone who at best may be a black belt flat, is like using a sledgehammer to cut glass-something is gonna get broken. M.J.W. was right to be upset but if he only caught the aftermath and not the beginnings the he was just as in the dark about the whole affair as we are. Hells, the stunt man could've picked a fight for all we know.
Point is, we're getting the P.O.V. from the middle and after the altercation not rhe onset. And, I am keenly aware that Seagal is arrogant at times. I've also seen him humble. To me, someone who is quite capable of killing a man with his/her bare hands doesn't often have a short fuse. They can't afford to. And he wouldn't get away with that attitude in Japan if it was his modus operandi.
And, kudos to M.J.W. for keeping his cool like the gentleman he is. I respect the man and he is one of my favorite actors who deserves more than he gets. He's also my favorite black actor too. The man has an air about him.

When I realized they were all around me I got surprised again and even more cheezitz came out the box everywhere this time.
Those birds straight went nuts on that balcony. Like, flying into me trying to get to the floor.
I'm just terrified by this point and my dad starts getting up to come get me. I see him start toward me and decided to run to him.
Run my scared lil kid face directly into the damned glass door. Fall back into a shit load of birds. I'm screaming wide eyed at this point. I'm looking up from this feathery, beautifully scenic hell I'm in to find my dad never made it to opening the door.
After running into the door he couldn't continue. This mfkr is so doubled over laughing he can't even film straight. It's just all over the place for a minute.
Soon as he opened the door and yelled most of the birds just scattered and it was all over. There's one that stayed on the railing and in the video it's just got the most clear "y'all dramatic af" look on it's face.
So yeah, we've both fought seagulls. I lost but I didn't vomit. Kinda wanna hear your story now!
