    • @lea-rw5cb
      @lea-rw5cb 7 месяцев назад

      That's all they are stories, MJW talks like he's been there, and all the fight scenes in movies were, in fact real life 😂😂😂 Hell yeah did Van Damme stand on a motorcycle in real life like in hard target.......... movie martial arts isn't real fighting. Look at Matt Damon how good they made him look in Bourne Identity, Seagal is a REAL martial artist just because he chooses not to trash talk everyone and actually talks sense does that make him fake ?

    • @lea-rw5cb
      @lea-rw5cb 7 месяцев назад +3

      @kimjongillest5995 That's because he is, so is MJW, JCVD, Jason statham in fact alot of movie stars are legit martial artists including Keanu Reeves, now Seagal holds a 7th dan in Akido........ not legit? He's studied the art 31 years, and that's after he originally got his black belt, so when people says he's no legit they clearly have no understanding about it at all............ just jumping on the Seagal is fat and useless band wagon following people like sheep, when you think about martial arts, Bruce Lee pops straight into everyone's minds but why argument states he wasn't a legit martial artist as he didn't hold any qualifications or belts.

    We had a visiting Aikido instructor who when he called you up to demonstrate a technique for the whole class to watch would take the arm locks and wrist locks deeeeep into the red zone and then some. If you were lucky, you came away uninjured but you would be sore for days afterwards and sometimes need a timeout to work off the pain which had been inflicted. However as I was taught from day one, and whenever I trained with our resident instructors Sensei's and black-belt Shodans, or Nidans, when you tapped out, it is a signal that a pain threshold had been reached asking for release, and not a signal to bend the joint even further until something snaps. The essence of Aikido is NOT to injure or inflict pain, but to do enough to turn a disadvantaged situation to your advantage. The locks are designed to HOLD and control an assailant who by attempting to escape from the lock will find it painful to do so. There is no need to turn that into an opportunity to inflict pain as seems to be the case with Mr. Seagal.

      We had a self proclaimed Akidio master come into our gym once and asked to demonstrate his style with ours (wrestling) he was on his back in under 10 seconds and our guy kept him pinned for 5 minutes. Akkido only works in demonstrations or against people who don't know how to fight. The second someone with a real background (Boxing, BJJ, Wrestling etc.) and it's all mixed together comes into play, he's dead.

    He will stand with his arms arms, wearing a jacket or button up shirt resting on his belly staring down everyone while looking confused. Never got why anyone loved his movies because his fight scenes are boring and his acting is up there with Nicolas Cage.

    ’On Deadly Ground’ Danish actor Sven-Ole Thorsen was cast as one of the villain's. The following is from an interview Sven made to a Danish news paper. "One day Seagal asked me to kick him in the stomach. He wanted to see what I could do. “No, what do you mean?” I said. "Yeah," he replied, "kick me." I kicked out at him, but not very hard. He lifted my leg so that I fell on my ass in front of the others. It was embarrassing.
    He asked me to kick properly. I spent many years on my karate and didn't want to look like a tomboy. I did a quick kick, a Mae-Geri. You lift the knee up and throw the lower leg out like a slingshot. I hit him in the solar plexus, so he fell to his knees with tears in his eyes. 70-80 people stood and watched. They were completely silent. He was helped up." A few days later Sven was informed that his character was killed off in the movie and the rest of his scenes were scrubbed.

    I see a lot of people atacking Steven Seagal,but if you only take a day to take a look at the videos about his way of teaching martial arts and people who trained under him,you would maybe understand why he is saying what he is saying about other martial artists.Training in Japan and everywhere else in the world is different and he was training under the masters from Japan under very strict rules and it was especially hard for a gaijin like him in that environment.That makes you a tough cookie and it takes a lot of discipline to develop skills under that stress.As far as his character goes,he comes off as akward and tough,but judging from the videos where he talks about his life and the way to stardom and everything else it takes a lot of balls to do what he did and we are talking about one of the greatest action movie stars on the planet who was in his prime in the 90s.I mean Above The Law is one of the greatest action movies ever.Right up there with Die Hard and Lethal Weapon along with Under Siege and Hard To Kill for example and Out For Justice ! I mean those are great movies.I recomend Viking Samurai channel ,he has a lot of content about action movie stars of that era,people who worked and trained with Seagal,so if you are interested,check it out.

Apparently it was the LAST THING being filmed, so the movie wouldn't have been ruined. I don't know if Steven got word of it or what but he was BARELY touching Jai White to the point where MJW said "Hey man. This is ridiculous. I'm not gonna hurt you. You can tap me, it's not a big deal. We have a scene to shoot." (I'm paraphrasing but that's what I remember from one of his interviews with Vlad.)

      The stunt men won't fight back 'cause they'd lose their job. He spent 20 years as a "reserve deputy." The Peace Officer Standards & Training Organization, which accredits police officers, has no record of Seagal being certified. Seagal's ex father-in-law gave him the dojo in Japan that made him "the first westerner" to teach there. Dude's a joke.

      Seagal is the real deal. People are too stupid too understand that Seagal can't really spar. He can only show the art form and technique. There's no trying or sparring It's made to cause permanent damage or even death on the spot.

      I don’t think anyone is saying he is not a good fighter / hard man. (Certainly not me). Rogan admits it on the biggest podcast on earth to millions of his viewers for example . What is said here is that he needlessly actually hurts stuntmen - who remember cannot fight back and have to be ‘accepting’ of the treatment as they are in the submissive role of the employee to the employer. It’s hard not to see that as bullying or at the very least arrogant and uncaring.

    • @melvert33

      The stunt men are getting paid by Seagal and he intentionally hurts them knowing he pays their wages, also that 20 year sheriff thing is, like most of Seagals life, BS. Yes he made an honorary sheriff but its all for the cameras. The fact he has to be babysat by a high ranking officer when he's on duty and out with the cameras says it all. You should read up on the truth behind his deception.
