I use the mysterious machine as my trap. Lots of mushrooms around to drop in there and main base on the baseball so it is a short walk. I cannot count the weevils that get stuck in there, the sounds as you walk up are hilarious.
in 1.0 the distance in which the aphid , and possibly the weevil, can eat the food has been increased now. They are easily able to reach it from quite a ways into the air.
Spike traps around my base is enough to always have both constantly dying around me. Plus, since 1.0, mushrooms on gardens always means weevils walking around your base.
I might have to give this another go. Last time I tried it, the weevils somehow stole the bait. Maybe this time I can get some catches. And maybe try it with plant slurry for material collection. I think the mantis bait requires cooked aphids.
I just built a 3x3 trap using half walls and clover roofing with the pillar table in the middle. It works but I do see aphids turn around on top of the wall so I’ll try removing the small walls. The trap works but I’ve see a max of about 6 aphids in there in a day so far.
I just started playing the game a few days ago. I dropped some shrooms and near my base because I didn't realize i could just trash them. It didn't take long to realize they were attracting weevils. So I made a very similar trap to your green one with stairs but I made it entirely out of 1/2 walls and roofs. In the middle was just 4 1/2 walls with a grass floor on top where i dropped the shrooms. Ants do come by regularly but I find that this solves my issue of needing red ant parts as well as providing abundant food. My setup does have on unintentional advantage. On occasion, a weevil somehow gets between the roof and 1/2 wall. This means the ants can't get to it. So if an ant or ants do come in while I am away and kill all the weevils they can reach, they get stuck trying to attack the one they can't reach. This has lead many times to my return to find up to 4 ants in the pen staring at a wall while there are 10+ weevils they could kill standing right beside them. I'm thinking now what if I trap one on purpose say in a small cage above the center table. That way even if they were inclined to attack the grass wall to get to it they would not be able to even reach it.
That’s a pretty cool idea rather then hunting them down while I build. Found out that the top of the shed is not solid ground and neither is half the tree. My last location to check to the open second floor window of the house. Thanks for the video! HalleluYah! All praises and esteem to Yahuah!

they some how get the slurry
Anyone have ideas on how to keep the ants out?
i liked this trap design too, but anytime theres one of those BS base raid things that i still can't disable, the ants/spiders completely destroy my weevil and aphid traps ~_~
If you can't disable the raids, you can at least disable the structure durability system if you don't want them to get destroyed!
Build them a little ways away from the base doesn't have to be far but a quick walk away and they won't attack it.
You should show how to build them 😢
Bruh it is simple make a square with roofs lmao
They keep eating the slurry somehow
yo same lol how do i stop that
@@yawg333 idk xD
You need to keep this video with me patch please 🙏
context unclear i now have 30 aphid pets.....
Somthing is wrong here i have never seen a grb in rock like that.
eh i spend 10 minutes underwater and can fill my whole inventory plus more in tadpole meat
The clover trap is better because it got 2 grubs
they keep taking my slurries :(
Snap!!! I can't stop them eating them
It's not work

Great video, but you talk way too fast man it’s like someone is after you lmao. It’s hard for me to understand as I’m English isn’t my first language. Good music tho.
Speech impediments/autism/ADHD… there’s a lot of reasons someone might talk quickly and chances are people already know they do *and hate it* without you reminding them
