In this video I’m going to show you how to build a simple elevator system in Grounded that will let you get to the top of your tallest builds in seconds and will also use far less resources than using acorn spiral stairs or ladders.

The best Bounce Web Elevator that ive found is simple to stack the Bounce Web above each other, two units. The Bounce Web has a straight angle on one side that activates the lift simply by walking into it.
If aligned correctly you can ascend to incredible heights very quickly. Keep up the good work.

Yeah but they tedious to build. Also I want two platforms, a high and a low one. So that I can build a Zip Line to get to and one to get back. Unless I understood it wrong that they allow for travel DOWN but not on the same height.

Also if you didn’t know, if you are carrying stems/planks, and you walk up to a zip line, you can send the stems/planks across the zip line
@A creative username yes…you used to be able to balance them on the zip line but it has now become a feature
For larger project development, build a stem/plank receiving facility above a storage facility... Set up zipline towers in locations with high concentration of dandelions/husky weeds, connect ziplines to the receiving facility and now you have a working farm. It does take quite a few resources, but it's worth the effort for larger builds... And it's pretty awesome.
I do this but I find that on the receiving end the stems are always in random places instead of in a pile at the end of the line. I built a little receiving building to try to keep them contained but they end up wedged into the wall and all over the outside of the building. Still super helpful tho.
Also if you have the container for them you can send the whole thing across the zip line over sending one at a time unless they have fixed it with 1.0 it was working before the full release.
make the tower half as tick and put the next bounce web directly under the location you are hitting. that way you dont even have to do anything, you will just get pushed to the top automatically.
Acid glands come from larva and soldier ants, not bombardier beetles.

This is what I've been using since the zip lines are put in the game. Except to do it a lot simpler with less resources.
I have a 2x4 tower and the trampolines alternate sides. I believe every three stories.
I simply hold left and hold right hold left and hold right until I get to the top.
My go to, in the field, "stairs" are 1 grass half wall with 1 grass half floor on it. Repeated to desired height. Each piece is only 2 grass planks, so 4 grass planks per section. It usually starts out looking like I'm building stairs one step at a time and off setting a half floor to change direction.
The trampoline will bounce you up from the other side of a grass wall, here’s what I did:
Put down a grass wall and (it’s important to keep them all facing the same way, I always do the arrow pointing away from the trampoline)
Place the trampoline and use the round side directly across the flattest side of the trampoline, put the round edge as close to or inside the grass wall, but make sure you’re not going to hit a sprig on the way up.
Put down a second grass wall on top of the first, making sure it’s facing the same way as the first.
If you did it right the trampoline will boost you just high enough that you can land on the grass wall’s top. You can place a triangle floor piece where just a corner will impossibly attach; or if you’re just starting, use a full grass floor on top of the walls you’ve made on the trampoline side. Place the next trampoline on the floor you’ve just made, make two more grass walls on top of your previous walls, again using the same direction.
Rinse and repeat.
If done right you will get shot straight up to the the height of the roof of the big house in about 10 seconds. It takes a while to build and you may want to eventually reinforce it with walls so you don’t have to worry about it being broken and your work lost.
I have many of these all around the map and now I can get anywhere really quickly, so worth the effort. Good luck!
Hey so im having the hardest time picturing what the devil you are doing with the wall and bounce placements. You wouldn't happen to have a video or know a creator that has a video of doing it this way would you? Just trying to see if this is any more time efficient as far as building it all than what im doing now
I just do a long ramp by stacking cloverleaf inclined roof. It’s ez and fast, you don’t even need a tower. Flat roof on the top and zip line station
I do this too, literally two easy to find ingredients.
But it’s ugly
I'm not new to Grounded but my cloud save was so old the game recommended me to delete it, planning on starting over. This video will be a great help! 👍
TIP-When climbing stairs, once you grab on to the ladder, you can jump up and grab it again which allows you to travel Up faster than just climbing.

The issue with towers is the level that's required to use your ziplines. If you use wall ziplines on your tower and the regular stem ziplines you'll save a lot more space and resources. However I have a tower that shoots my weed stems and grass from the BBQ PIT all the way to the HEDGE.
The issue people fail to notice is to go from one location to another you need to be 6 foundations higher, or you'll be sailing from the BBQ pit as fast as a snail.
If you place your wall zipline in the middle of two Mushroom arched and a half wall behind that your resource will glitch in-between making it easy to fall to the ground instead of shooting everywhere. think i made a video explaining this

Biiiiiig ups to this, have had a base encasing the tree trunk since launch, and have used the bounce webs since day one to get up to it, wolf spiders lose interest in you when you’re in the air, plus having a tunnel to monitor them, as well access their nest safely, has made for some unique experiences when bringing friends into my world😌
Have you thought of making base tour video's? Sounds like a base worth seeing in my personal opinion

Idk if anyone has posted this use..but me and my buddy have a diving board with a bounce web on the end of it which we use to jump into pond as the force you generate sends you almost straight to the bottom of pond

For a while I’ve had a bounce web elevator that is 197cm from top to bottom (it takes like 4-6sec to reach the top)
I used the enclosed 4x4 as you did but if you use triangle floor pieces and the right bounce web orientation it can propel you into the one above making an express elevator
Though after the last update you can’t put the bounce web in a corner the same as it was before it is still possible.
If you look at the bounce web as it’s in a 4x4 and a U shaped surrounding wall it was in the back right corner and that’s what no longer works.
If you just put it in the back left corner with the same orientation ( straight line part of web towards the entrance) it still works fine just a different layout.
You know, I hate spiral stairs in games too. But I just solve that problem by entering, orienting myself in the direction of the exit, and using wasd to move up without touching the mouse. If you stay near the center you can move up really fast without getting dizzy.
I have an elevator in my base that can shoot you up 10 stories in 3 seconds and you just have to walk upto it to activate

Larva give you acid glass sometimes too. If you clear out that cave you have to blast open, to the west of starting point, there are like 15 larva in there.
I'm glad I search for this before building my tower. I was going for ladders but I am concerned that the ladders are not as sturdy as spiral staircase. You are right, those spiral staircases are dizzying, even tho they are looking pretty...
There is a cheaper way to build an effective bounce tower. A hexagonal structure. A bounce alternating left to right every 3 stories. You can bounce move left, bounce move right, and it works well. If anyone is looking for a cheaper option. For the floor use a half grass floor, filling in the corners with the little triangle pieces. You can use grass walls for the structure, or use the stem windows that only cost 2 stems. Put sconces every 3 floors and you can even see it lit up at night.
Just an idea. If anyone wants to see it I can show u in my world.
I used to use something similar but I’ve figured a way to use way less resources and the tower I use now is extremely faster and simpler to build. Would be happy to show you. It’s a game changer!
Do you use all grass triangles?
I made one with grass triangle floors and triangle walls.
Would love if you or someone made a video for most efficient/cheapest elevator.
@@johnbuhanan5857 yea once I discovered my method I definitely thought about making a video for it being that it’s so simplistic and efficient. Essentially it’s a frame and triangle, you also don’t have to jump back and forth it completely takes you straight up. I have a tower as tall as the Oak tree and it takes about 2-3 seconds to reach the top. Very nice and fast
@@theprephix9341 i have same type of elevators and after the latest test server update none of them work, so i can't even get to my base. i hope they fix it, but at the moment none of the elevators that take you straight up don't work anymore

That was my first move. Zipline from start point to acorn tree. Mine was a shitty grass structure tho, not a fancy one like that
Personally I built a tower of weed scaffolding and used quarter grass floor every half height as a staircase inside the scaffolding making it 2 weed stalks and 2 grass per floor
Acid glance can be obtained from larva and solder ants recommend building spike traps with a lure trap to farm them filled a few chests with acid glance and started tossing ant bits
i feel like you could get rid of the slanted roofs to direct the player, by aiming the bounce pad instead of having it just go straight up
the fact that you didn't do this makes me think you might not know?
when you're looking at a bounce pad, one of the options is aiming, and it just makes a big pink arrow you can swing around to point a specific direction

Excuse me just redacting at thé begining, but it just took le a few hours to understand that Clover roof is better than any stairs and cheaper.
Murdering a full crow of clovers is so easy and SAP will Never be an issue...

For the spiral stairs, just look at the middle pole on the stairs and run in a circle going up. NO camera movement. Super fast that way.
Easier way to manage spiral stairs... Literally rotate your joystick around in a circle so your camera angle isnt actually changing as you climb up. Makes it so much easier, just takes a little practice to be able to do it without falling.
Interesting idea. For me the spiral case is a no go, not because of motion sickness but I not want to run up and turn all the time. I'd rather make a ladder even if it is slower, at least all you need to do is push up and you reach the top eventually.
What I seen allot is people hide the Bounce Web inside, but I find that extremely tedious to build and I want a tower with TWO Zip Line spots. So that I can have a top one to go over and a lower one for the way back... because the Zip Line only allows for one way travel.
So your design is basically pretty good for that!
Once you get the zipline upgrade, it will let you go both ways
I hate that you can’t place ladders in the middle of floors so it would be symmetrical, shit triggers my OCD
I relocate the bounce web with each bounce to keep me perpetually bouncing to where I need to go. Works for a little over half of my needs.
I think you got confused with boiling gland and acid glands. Boiling glands are what yoi get from bombardier beetles, acid gland is different, but they are easier to harvest.

You can go up a spiral staircase without turning. Just walk in a circle with the left stick
Acid glands are dropped by red ant soldiers and stuff like that bombardiers drop boiling glands

I just started playing this with friends and it must have been perfect timing for a bunch of quality of life updates because I can't believe you couldn't stack ladders! Anyway this bounce web way is amazing!
You can Stack ladders
@@Anon-One I think they are playing with building integrity on - with that you can't stack ladders unless you put them against a wall. Maybe they wanted to stack ladders onto each other without putting them against walls
Or make a straight ladder and to go really fast up just spam E+SPACE - best cheap option. But you won't take planks or stems with you, that's the only downside.
Acid glands can be harvested from larvae as well

Don’t know if this video is “dated”, but I’ve also gotten acid glands from killing Larva. No idea if this video was made before Larva were added, but the larva are also an option to get acid glands
man i see alot of people going on about the spiral stairs and motion sick. i just run up forward, left, back, right. rinse and repeat .
I play on Xbox, and when I go up spiral stairs, I get on, face the way I will exit on the top, then just move my move only joystick (not the turn joystick) in a circle and move up, always facing the same way. Faster, and no motion sickness
It’s unfortunate that elevators have become harder to create due to the new bounce web crafting recipe. Needing loads of flower petals while they barely show up is annoying

Nice, I havent used it yet. but from the looks of it i dont think you can carry weed stems with you on the jump pads to transport it from one zipline to another?
If you're carrying stems or planks you can still use the bounce pad with you holding them and you still go the same height

they can add a way to build a elevetor, a real elevetor, like a bag with weight, that falls and propels a cabin to the top, they can do it ...

Try running up the spiral stairs without turning your camera. All you have to do is rotate the movement stick
I honestly have a spiral staircase higher than any other part of the map you will use your entire stamina bar to get up
Why not put web in floor so you don’t have to jump on it?
You can look up and jump on ladder to climb them faster
Pro tip the bouncy web can bost you up to 15 foundations high so you can space them out more but run the risk of death if you don't have any tuffs with you

I can get a pallet UP the elevator with "relocate" but how do you get the pallet back down again because gliding cancels the "relocate" option?

I know im a year late but you could make it faster by eliminating the need to walk to the next bounce web making it so you land on the next web

Why not build a continuous elevator instead? It's faster and no need to move while ride the elevator. Put the bounce web next to any wall and by holding "ctrl". Touch the wall at the center and you'll bounced upward. That's the trick.
For cheaper building on this elevator you guys can refer on Roodar youtube channel, there is 2 stack of wall
Man. You can use bouncweb from outside the wall. With that we dont even need to walk to other bouncweb.

Soldier ants have the acid glands…Burgle keeps giving me that quest (killing Soldier ants) and I have acid glands coming out my wa-zooo

Or build just long ramp, you dont have to build tower at all... Long ramp you can run on is most effective on resources... Doesnt matter its ugly...
The point of the bounce webs is to get up to the top as fast as possible. The clover roofs work for sure but it takes a lot longer to get to the top.
Theres an even better way with the bounce webs.

Not really. Plenty of people get motion sickness going up spiral stairs.
Bruh just build straight up with scaffolds, put grass floors going around it every 3 floors, and put trampolines on every floor. Wayyy cheaper than this it aint rocket science.
This is ridiculously overbuilt.. just stack web and make a straight vertical elevator, which is ACTAULLY an elevator.

This is a very bad elevator system compared to what you can do. Look up better ones.
There are more efficient elevators. Make one with the triangle floor and all you do is touch the first bounce web and it's automatic to the top. This is not even a mediocre build. hHis is a shit build. It's a day late and a dollar short. The video of how to do that is out there.
