This is the first pre-order I've ever been a part of. It's an odd concept to me to give a company that much money for in essence a promise but I couldn't pass up the chance to get these asap. Seeing videos like this makes my mouth water.
Very cool to see the strap and pouch included being on par with the standard upgrades. This also makes the Analog module add-on look a whole lot less fidely than has need done for other systems with add-on modules!
Nice look Ryan. Love the Fatstraps goggle strap. With the way it attaches to the goggle, it looks like the existing aftermarket DJI ones will be compatible.(Not that anyone would want to replace the sweet HDZero one.) I’m looking forward to getting my hands on my goggles.
ill buy this for sure because have an audio for now,,,thank you for having the audio...i will buy it...im the audio fans,,now i have no complain,,,tq Mr Ryan
That STRAP and Pouch!! what a nice out of the box Touch...now I need to mod my custom strap with SNAPS!!! what a nice idea and actual Neoprene Foam pre installed!!! WHAAAT!!! so good!. those optics look nice and LARGE!!! How does the optic handle the internal light to the eye? no Halo like with HDO2, or barreling or pincushion? Is there a light baffle inside the glass optic to reduce diffraction? if there is no Halo with a clear view of the displays, like you get when looking into a camera EVF, I will he super stooked with my set when they come in! its looking really good! Great work from everyone!!....Who knew a couple years ago after Fatshark not working with HDzero, that we would have a digital goggle pre 2023, much better specd than anything an HDO3 could have ever been. I am wondering if attaching a RHODE mic to the inline jack would help in making next level pit audio!
My neighbors started screaming "IT"S A DRONE! IT'S SPYIN ON US!" So feel lucky you don't have to deal with that. It's not just one neighbor either. Lady across street called cops FIRST flight and sat outside screaming to her "man" that he needed to do something about me.
Awesome unboxing and this is definitely getting me excited for mine! If you don't mind me asking what was the one thing you found that got changed on the production version? Great updates Ryan appreciate you 👏👍
Hello I've exited open this box me to, we don't see 2 face plate? ,et how instal they?, how change the sponge in the future? Why resolution is not 1080p ?
Just a few more weeks! Can’t wait to have these sit on my face. Looks like 10mm foam, which is my preference to begin with! Exciting! Thank you Ryan and all!!! Is that a little lavaliere microphone you had plugged in? Any info on what you discovered? I made myself a cable with a lav, earbuds amp, and little control circuit, already :p just making sure to be ready with everything before the arrival!
Good overview and demo. A nice blend of form and function on the goggle design. Looking forward to the upcoming vids. What are they thinking for shipping? Mid December?
I'm listening to the engine audio, because the freestyle doesn't have a microphone, to hear the engine noise? I like to hear the roar of the engines when I'm flying.
I got hosed by Orqa when I bought the original Fpv goggles from them. they released a v2 goggle after I bought mine that was more optimized for their rumored digital system. what can you say about any upcoming v2 goggles? is this something we should be worried about? otherwise these look amazing. good work man. I like that you're taking the time to let them revise the mold for those little imperfections.
Do they fit an existing foam that's already for sale? I've had to replace the foam on my HD02s three times. I'm concerned about "consumables" on the HDZero goggles since there will likely be less units in use than other goggles, so custom third-party parts might not happen. With that in mind, using consumables (foam, connectors, straps, fans, etc.) that are interchangeable with those already on the market is important.
Has anyone tried HDZero with linear antennas? Linear on VTX and RX, of course? That’s what I’m flying right now on analog. I have a RapidFire module and a ClearView 2.0. Both Do a great job at removing multipathing, and I get the added bonus of greater range, so wondering what it would be like on HDZero
Awesome video, Ryan! I missed the preorder, but when these come out for regular sale I will 100% be picking them up! I'm still on analog for racing. The low cost just fits my budget better as the fleet expands. So I'm psyched that the analog module bay adapter is so sturdy. I do have a question though. We've heard in the past that making the analog module bay a part of the goggle would make it much larger. I understand that would be a con for many people. But since the goggle shell is open source, would it be possible to design a larger goggle shell to fit the module bay? Then folks could just print it themselves at home and do a little tinkering. I'm no good at designing, and I'm sure that's a big ask, but I'm just curious to know if that's possible :)
Hey Ryan was just wondering if you have some raw footage from the goggles (not compressed by youtube) that you could share? Preferably with varying levels of signal. Got an idea I would like to test out.
This may seem like a weird question but can I use these to watch movies and play games also ? Have you tried that ? And how is the picture quality versus the hdo2 (I have those)
You can run any patch, but true rc makes custom patches that utilize the rail mount system for a clean and sturdy install. Also, the patch mount can be 3d printed and attached to any patch that uses a pigtail to sma into the goggles
@@anthonyfpvminiquad1728 Hi I’ve seen close up pictures of the true rc antenna and the ones he uses in the HDzero goggles if you look close the lip the extension that goes over the goggles is wider than the true rc, 3D print is an option but I don’t have one, thanks
1080p specifically isn't finished for public use. Didn't want to put it on the box and then it feels unfinished. Specifically cause not everyone who bought or buys one is fully up to date on everything. 1080p is not being ditched and also 540p60hz is coming for a smooth 16ms freestyle link with more penetration than currently experienced on the system.
It really looks like a McDonald’s toy with al those repainted parts etc, compared to the fatsharks and dji… 😅 From a spec and functionality perspective I love that goggles, but you can really see that it’s made by engineers and not product designers.
For me it’s important how it works and not how it looks, cause i am not looking in a mirror when i am flying. You can’t really compare this googles with a McDonald’s toy which looks and taste like the rest of their products in case you want to eat it.
Yeah… you throw down 600 beans and want something that looks like you spent 600 beans. If I pay 100g for a car I don’t want it to look like a 1980 Toyota Corolla lol I don’t see the car when I’m driving it so anyone who says ‘well you don’t see the goggles when you’re flying’ is bs. how much harder would it have been to make them look aesthetically pleasing?

Beautiful looking goggle, hope to buy one eventually.
What a high quality set of goggles! Thanks Ryan!
I am excited and readly waiting for the next available units.

Awesome, I can't wait to experience this. Great job👍

The optics are very good. No pincushion. Internal reflections are minimal. The oled is so bright I have to run it at 50-75% brightness

On the box of the google the resolution only rated at 720P and 540P whats about the 1080 30Fps mode?
yeah, I'd like to see that too
Hi Ryan, what antennas are you running. Can't wait until my goggles arrive!
At 1:12 you can see supported resolutions720p60 and 540p90 on the box. On the product page it also says 1080p30?

Technically possible. Not advisable though - harder than you would think
@@RyanQuellet What part of that process would be hard? Designing a new shell or getting the module adapter in it?
no point doing that, at least not elegantly

Great !! :) Now add audio from the kwad and i'm in :) You were browsing around audio from analog and video from hd, isn't it ? what is the result ?
Are preorders still open ?
I’m glad I placed my order, do these use special patch antennas, can we find them somewhere?
You can run any patch, but true rc makes custom patches that utilize the rail mount system for a clean and sturdy install. Also, the patch mount can be 3d printed and attached to any patch that uses a pigtail to sma into the goggles

Anti-aliasing still gives it that analogue feel. This is the way this system should've been day one :P
Is there an additional faceplate for different face profiles?
Yes
two faceplates are the best gesture, the fatshark fitting are always way too narrow
I saw 720p and 540p mentioned on the box...but not 1080p ... where is 1080p ... I haven't see any fpv video of 1080p Full HD fpv...
