We'll be doing a lot more day trips in 2024 to show off more of our little corner of the globe. Thanks for dropping by, we're big fans of your channel also, love seeing what it's like over there, and your content is top notch. ~ Matt P
Nice video. Bribie was my first beach driving experience, a few years ago now. Still have the 80 Series and have done a few more trips but Bribie is always good. i would say about recovery gear: Know how to use it as it can be dangerous if not done properly.
Nice, Bribie is pretty awesome. We agree, know your gear and how to use it. We didn't show how to use it specifically in this video due mainly due to implied liability. Thanks for watching!
Queensland turning it on once again....nice one. Never done any sand driving, good to get some tips, any idea what sand does to fuel use? Great snag tips too ✌🏻
😅 I was under pressure and stuffed up the snags haha. Beautiful one day, maybe perfect the next... or stormy with massive hail, or stupid hot and humid, can never tell. Sand driving does increase fuel consumption a bit but depends when you're driving. If driving in the soft like we did I reckon my consumption was up around 20+L/100kms where as on the hard sand it's much like driving around town economy at 15/16L/100kms. When I took my Triton to Fraser it jumped up to about 20L/100kms from an average 11L/100km general driving which is understandable as you've got low pressure in tyres, usually 4H engaged and high engine revs. Thanks for watching!
cheers mate, that all makes sense....glad someone is getting 11L from their Triton 🙂 The steal bullbat and toolboxes on the back don't help me on that front@@ChaseTheWeekend
@@outandabout_oz :D Yeah mine was a highway warrior with my tool box, great vehicle and did phenomenally well when I took it to k'gari (Fraser Island) on a work trip bone stock... apart for the fuel economy haha
Awesome, Bribie is on my list of go to's. WW2 bunker looks in good condition compared to the couple on Moreton Island. Did you notice if beach camping with a caravan is accessable.
On the Qld Parkes website it says camper trailers are accessible, not so much caravans but I guess it would depend how big they were. It'd be pretty hard going with a big van as when the sand is dry it's really soft. Thanks for watching! parks.des.qld.gov.au/parks/bribie-island/camping
It’s a great beach to drive On, but my god there’s an absolute Muppets…. Spot on about keeping a good momentum going. It’s a bit frustrating when people slow down for all the bumps and that’s where they tend to get bogged.
Its really nice to see the other side of the globe and like minded people doing the same type of thing! looking forward to the next one! cheers!

No problem, thanks for watching!

Love it. I haven’t checked out the lagoons yet. Are they big enough to swim in?
Definitely big enough for a paddle, next time we go we'll check them out in greater detail. Thanks for watching!
I gotta go here... why am I delaying!
don't delay, there's plenty to see, worth a few trips up I reckon 😀

Unfortunately beach driving attracts a lot of muppets, I did find Bribie to be not as bad as Teewah Beach for them. Thanks for watching!
Lov wide Beach driving
Yes, much prefer the wide beach to the narrow soft beach 😀
I don't air down my tires. I just keep them on 40 psi
No worries, you can do that if you like 👍
And I'm in 2wd because 4x4 isn't needed on the beach
Yep, ok, no worries. Do you only drive to the carpark, or just limiter bash the whole way?
