This reminds me of the crazy cobra i made back in LCV 4.1, zero safety, full carbon, AWD, Twin turbo V8 and 860Kgs. The worst part is that it came out far better than it should have
yeah, automation cars tend to handle much better than beamng cars
The rewarding part of this from a driving point of view is that if you CAD model or otherwise design a really good car, and then recreate its model for BeamNG you end up with a really good BeamNG car too.
BeamNG is sort of XPlane for driving sims
I unfortunately don't have any cad skills :/
it's uncanny seeing an automation body break in parts
if only I was better :P
welcome to another episode of youtube full notifications not working
really? youtube hates me :(
Fillman :
"I might going to make the greatest Automation mod of all time
Innocent Joker [with Gavril Vertex NA2]:
"I'm going to end this man whole career"
I mean yeah but now the Gavril Vertex is a actual regular BEAMNG mod, not a automation one lmao.
it's all tong in cheek haha the mod is clearly not that good :P
@@fillman86 I'm going to lie to myself if I didn't say "You've made one stellar of a mod".
@@scarecrow5848Rigiel Tintos are do detailed, but no openable :(
another amazing tutorial, you have outdone yourself once more
glad you liked this one too :)
inb4 the next automation update completely overhauls the way bodies work and somehow adds a way to make everything you just had to do
@@Damian-cilr2 Yeah. They've also said that they're planning on adding fighter jets and a 30 minute long bonus campaign set 300 years in the past.
any major changes to existing systems would only really be possible with the next game because that would mean rewriting mostly everything about them which will be a tremendous work
I somehow doubt these things are coming, as they've stated multiple times that having exportable steering wheels would be impossible :/
@@fillman86 I know. It's easy to imagine an option that would let you work with every panel of the car as an individual piece, but in practice it would take not just a metric crapton of coding, but also a lot of time, all for a little piece of realism that won't even matter outside of BeamNG.
@@itryen7632 wait fuck i got confused.
Man, I just love the AC and Shelby Cobras so much. I’ve always wanted to throw an 8.0/8.4 V10 into a replica since the Viper is the closest thing the Cobra has to a successor
I agree, as it's also unruly and a killer XD
finally🎉somebody🎉made🎉an🎉automation🎉car🎉with🎉beamng🎉crash🎉physics🎉
haha enjoy :)
Crazy modding skills, I could never do something this quality lol. I think the next step is a 2000s AU falcon from the 2nd gen Pessima ;)
Owh this is really cool. I had a die cast model of this as a kid.
The process is somewhat logical, but looks very "painful". It would be awesome if it got integrated in Automation.... One can dream right? 😊
lol you'll have to keep dreaming XD I doubt this will ever happen
I've been waiting for this forever! Ever since I saw the Kawa Motors Luna on your live stream I've been wanting to do something similar!
oh man I forgot about that
I would love to give this treatment to my pickup truck from Automation. Brutus would be cool to see this detailed. I wish I had the time to focus on it lol.
haha I did this in about a day and a bit... but that's working full time
@@fillman86 I've got several months into this truck. I figured out quite a few things, adjustable boost by gear, nitrous, customizable transmission/torque converter, trans brake, etc
Downside, the body is no longer in Automation and its from a much older version of Automation, so any detail work going forward is blender. I suck at blender lmao
0:13 not at all 💀
I just came up with it on my own :P
@@fillman86 2:51 ??? Random context
@@nerfgodbigguy1405 gotta get people interesting in subscribing somehow :) but without demanding it of them
Ya know what at that point In the vid people are deep into it so they might subconsciously do that🤨
@@nerfgodbigguy1405 you'd be surprised with the difference asking people makes... it's dramatically more
reminds me of my scuffed cobra clone i made a while ago, 3000 hp twin turbo v8, wheels spinning up to 300 kph, sub 8 second quarter mile, 650 kph top speed with adjusted gear ratios, and over 18000 hp with the supercharger mod along with 850 kph topspeed until the tires explode at 1000 kph wheelspeed
haha sounds excessive
This is indeed the automation car of all time. Lmao
haha indeed
Hey just a quick tip for when you're separating so many objects, you can just hit p and it will separate all selected geometry into its own object. Helps me save time!
Unfortunately automation doesn’t export properly and sometimes things are in a hundred thousand parts :/
i cant wait for this, and actually amazing automation mod! this should honestly be posted on the "cars tab" and not on the automation tab"
well that's where I've submitted it to :P we'll have to wait and see
A really great work, man! Keep it up!
thanks :P
mate this is wikkid
glad you agree :)
This is the third time now, I’ve wondered if something is possible in these two games and the next day you’ve released a video/tutorial on how to do it.
haha I anticipate your every need :P
@@fillman86 what a service, If I could subscribe more than once I would lol
little tip, in 5:10 you duplicate the mesh and delete the body and delete the interior in the original, you can achieve this easier by doing mesh>separate>selection while in edit mode
oh damn, I completely forgot about that XD though one problem is that automation generated meshes can be technically thousands of segments :/ so it wouldn't always work too great
@@fillman86 the only time I used automation for modding it was hell, and i just used it to get the details of an i6 block 💀speccialy the rotation is super messed up and all of the drivetrain is a single part
Ac was a British company that shelby brought the body from to make the shelby cobra
yeah, there were some differences though, and different models over the years too
@@fillman86 the ac cobra had originally had the tail pipes out of the back instead of the side pipes. But the original ac cobra also was a little thinner for our British roads
Wow, just a piece of art. That's pretty good for an automation car and you also matched it with the Shelby cobra,
shelby cobra? this was a total unique design :P
I wish I could give Fillman 1,000,000 subscriptions at once. He simply deserves it.
man that'd be great :P but my views wouldn't go up XD
Man id love to learn more about modding. I know how to mod DayZ which is all code editing (which was my first experience with ACTUAL modding and not just importing someones mods into the game) but idk how to crate a car from scratch like this. And finding a good "tutorial" anywhere is impossible.
Edit: You just gained a sub, my friend. I hope to see more Beamng modding "tutorials" in the future. Love this game and I've just started creating my own automation mods but obviously they're lacking the beamng touch that I lack the knowledge to give to them.
man you're about to get drowned in a huge backlog haha
2:50 you have at the very least one more little fella
haha oh man I wish
@@fillman86 lol, i didnt mean it like that, but anyways
@@harlyquin oops, I'm tired and read it as one million.... I should sleep more XD
@@fillman86 haha
Dam 3 minutes ago
wew!!
Damn 13 minutes ago.
In blender, (in edit mode) press P and select "separate by selection" to not have to duplicate and delete geometry from objects.
I did forget about that, but it also would be problematic with how automation meshes can end up broken into thousands of parts :(
@@fillman86 ah that's fair. Although it should do exactly what you were doing I think, minus the invert selection and duplicating. I could be wrong though. Either way thanks for the entertainment, always look forward to your videos.
the wendover rear suspension would've worked nicely, it's even transverse leaf like the cobra.
yeah, I was told about it, had a look, and it's similar, but macpherson, so it works very differently :/
The hood popped up and out 😂
Discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I’ve been loving the videos :)
thanks, I'm glad you like them all :)
so glad RUclips randomly recommended your channel. I could enjoy watching you type all day for some reason...
haha thanks, I also have an extensive back catalogue that you can use to fill those days :P
Underrated youtuber. You’re awesome!!
:) thanks
5:00 - CTRL+L and P to select all connected mesh and separate into its own object ✌
12:50 I have no problem moving them. You have to select them with the almost invisible selection box, they select the move button. When select them with that near invisible box, they will not look like they are selected at first. Dont double select. Also, you won't see arrow handle bars in the front, top, left windows. you just click and drag and the move fine. You should not need those handle bars being each view is only 2 axis, if you want 3 axis, then use 3d view.
aw. i spent months trying to master that car with my logitech g27 in assetto corsa. but once i finally had it all dialed in, i still couldnt handle er. what a beast of a machine! i love it.
assetto? this is beamng
@@fillman86 i know it is. Haha i was just saying. The ac cobra in assetto reminded me of your mod. Seems like it handles about how it does in assetto.
@@Infernostar18 ah lol
Keep up the good work fella! I've been watching your videos since I came across them about a month ago now. Back in the day I tried to get into modelling when SLRR was a thing but could never get the models to execute properly in game. I think my lack of coding knowledge was the culprit in 2011. I can see the process is a bit more extensive than i ever realized. You make it look easy. Shoutout from east coast canada!
@@Infernostar18 modding without a formal education is all about experience. (I'm also half canadian but west coast canada instead)
The legend makes yet another great video 👍
Keep up the good work bdw
:P thanks
for a minute i thought this was a automation build video...
haha almost :P
This process is probably a bit easier now with the blender plugin? At least no need anymore for nodebeameditor, the rest of the process still looks quite painful. The result is worth it though, I think I'm going to try my hand at doing something like this.
sooo much easier!!
The difference between the AC and the shelby cobra is that the Shelby cobra is an AC with a ford engine tuned by Karol Shelby
haha it's also a little wider
@@fillman86 it probably has wider rear tyres too then
Now we just need the Shelby Daytona coup
well I've shown the process :)
dudeeee, ive been waaiting for someone to do this for the longest, i always hated the crash physics of the automation mods
Automation exports haven't been perfect, but it's so cool that what they do have is automated, requiring no real work :) But could you imagine having to do this every time you wanted have a car? XD I'm fine with the automated export haha
Another fantasticly jank creation from Sir, Fillman86. Please polish this a bit more. I would like to assist with some tuning and accurate specs. Also make sure that the added engine parts(like the scoop) go into the common folder. Then they can be used on other vehicles that engine fits in.
I'm entirely fine with people taking my mods and making their own versions :) though I have reworked it a bit, and it jiggles way less now
haircut looking sharp Mr.fillman
thanks :P though I haven't cut it in a while
the wendover actually has a horizontal leaf setup like that picture you showed. i forget if its front or rear tho
interesting, I had a look, and it's more like a macpherson strut with a transverse leaf spring. So close, but not as close as double wishbone unfortunately :/
@@fillman86 yeah thats what i meant, wasnt saying that was a double wishbone was saying that the pic you showed with the cobra without a body looked like it had a front transverse leaf
@@hellothisisballs3925 theoretically they work very differently unfortunately (also it's in the rear of both the wendover, and cobra)
man you should have wayy more subscribers great work
I wish! In the mean time, I'll try to make subscribing more interesting than "hey guys, smash that sub button" haha
GREAT WORK FILL..... damn it i need to up my level
haha the gauntlet has been thrown :P
@@fillman86 aye...im currently working on a "tuned" ford sierra with a a (TL20EFI)
by the way, i challenge you to make one because fuuuuuuuuuuuuu, it is the british equivalent to australias I6, by that i mean its still in use now (under a different name) but holy hell is information on it hard to find
Please make a “charger Daytona” style muscle car 👌🏼
Cant wait for the grilles , i always love your mods they are really well made
oh haha I forgot about that XD I'll do that today!
bery kool
cery vool
you are underrated and you are inspiring me to want to make a mod. i havent made one yet, but i am planning on making a grand marshal ute, and making it offroad kinda like what you did for the gambler 500 mod.
thanks :) and good luck
Looks really cool and it amazing what you can do ❤
it was a lot of fun to make :)
the car face:😮
lol I see it now
@@fillman86 wow unbelievable
At this point i don't know what funny comment i should make so i'm just gonna say:
El New Upload from funni automation guy💀💀💀
haha
I had no idea the ac Cobra had transverse leaf spring. (Older corvettes also have it).
Also for the steering wheel, did you just grab parts from the Miramar?
actually a lot of mid price sports cars had it back then, as it was cheap, but also what race cars were doing sometimes :)
Another crackin mod 🤘🏾
it's very satisfying result :) and I even fixed a few things for the repository version
this is awesome to watch. the coding doesnt seem super complicated when it works lol. do you have a link to any sort of tutorial for how to go about doing something like this? i have 10 automation mods id love to do similar things with but i am not familiar with code well enough to not break everything lol
hmmm this was a fairly lengthy process, though I did do something similar in a stream with a porsche look alike
@@fillman86 i can imagine it was pretty lengthy. ill search through and see if i can find the video about with the "porsche" lol. looking forward to more learning about this game and its coding 😊
neat car.
every rear wheel drive car with a little more power from Beam ng always looks like it's trying to kill when I tried to drive, so this one looks right aushasuhasuh
haha light weight, and high power is a bad idea in beamng :P
How hard would it be to do this on a car with lots of side details and cutouts?
at that point, you'd have to be decent with blender :/ but I already did it with the stripes on this car :)
@@fillman86 ironically blender is about as far as I went outside of automation. Coding is just so painful.
damn that thing looks beatiful cant wait for it to get approved
also btw where did you get the old le mans track?
you can google search for it, I don't think it was from the repository
First Miramar bodykit
XD it's the new fiero swap
15:29 I love your stuff, but I wanted to fact-check your numbers. In the top spec Cobra, which is the body styling that you are using, the Shelby Cobra 427 S/C made 425 ‘MURICAN horsepower, giving it an almost even ci-hp figure!
cool, you can put that power in if you'd like haha
i look up to you ! :)
haha I'm just a dude making silly mods :P
this guy inspired me to start modding beamng cars I JUST DID MY FIRST engine swap
:p
congrats :)
@@fillman86 :D
Man I want that Le Mans track mod so bad
it's freely available, though I don't remember where I got it from
very cool
thanks :)
26:26 Yeah, I've noticed this is a problem. Is there a way to make beam cars and their parts/attachment points stronger within the files or nah? Also, despite this video being older, I'm going to address this based on the order I watched it: You are once again using "front" suspension on the rear of a RWD car. (I'm talking about the RWD covet vid. though technically it wasn't front suspension there... You get my point.)
Miramar based replica Cobra, nice
haha it's like those ferrari kit cars based on a fiero XD
2:50 wow I guessed 100k
man, I wish!!
Immediately hit like after the first 6.9 😂
Next make a 2014 smart fortwo
needs a 289 smallblock option 🤔
interesting, the original AC also had a small i6 :)
So if I wanted to add police sirens to my automation car, I could just do what you did for the engine?
Love to see a gt40 and Daytona coupe
Cool!
with no roof, it would be :P
Cheese
taking my photo?
This would be pretty useful for modders one day, Maybe you should make a tutorial of how to make a full BeamNG car mod like what you did in the video someday.
Maybe one day
@@fillman86 Alright, I already subscribed to your channel and will hope to see it soon.
I am glad you are doing this cause ~I was wondering if it was possiable, but I did also wonder if you could export a car from beamng to automation tycoon!! now that would be the killer mod. or if you could maybe have mods in automation that was doors and wheels and boots and radios and other cool working stuff that you get in beamng
I've already done this twice
@@fillman86 I shall see if I can find them. would be cool to see how it is done and if I have the skill haha
You should make a tutorial about how to do this! I would love to know how too
that video is on the list :)
I saw somebody call you fillman69, ima start calling you this
haha it all stemmed from neilogical calling me the wrong name on separate occasions XD
Hi, Do you have a full tutorial you used for scripting and getting your model ingame? I am a 3d modeler but struggling to find any decent documentation from start to finish in how to get my model ingame.
hmm not that exactly, but I just released a video on how to mod in beamng
I love your content but as a American who’s favorite car is the Shelby cobra seeing a right hand drive cobra kinda makes me confused and annoyed lol
you mean the british car that was exported to america and then converted by an american who loved to race in europ? Fair point
hehe
my favourite modder is here
haha thanks :P
i cant wait to drive it
here's hoping it gets approved right away :)
@@fillman86 yeah hopefully it gets approved
Although i like the beamng modding spree i missed automation videos
U waiting for the Supercharger updade for continuing the f1 series?
unfortunately automation just doesn't bring in the views, but I do still intend on doing the f1 builds :)
@@fillman86 i get it in the end of the day we ALL have to pay bills Sad that RUclips automation comunity isnt that pzazy for mod gods like you
for the engine you could have used the 423cui from the barstow
sure, but this one also works....
@@fillman86 very true but it has the carbs and you can get the dual 4 barrels on it so it would fit the shaker scoop perfectly
simple button select what u want serprate press p then selecte seprate
Its been a little bit, but wouldn't a good option for the base for to mod have been the bolide? Its double wishbone all-around, its already separated into three parts, and hav the same suspension front and rear (the only difference being that the front has tie rods and the raar has a bean in there place)
so theredically you can take the engine bay, move it to the front, and the front, moved to the rear, and since its the same suspension for the most part all you need to do is move the steering rack. Other than extensive coding, maybe just put two engine mounts in the fronk (if corse without the fronk liner, radiators, and what not being there), pray it doesn't glitch, and call it a day. Also maybe swap the suspension values front and rear so it doesn't handle like a spagetti noodle.
haha there's many reasons I did what I did. The extra coding required for doing it with the bolide would have exhausted me.
tbh the biggest issue was just how bad beamng's vehicles are :/
When you said to check how many subs you have, i was like, wow , what bozo wouldnt subscribe to fillman? And then i forgot i hadnt subscribed. Problem fixed now.
XD tisk tisk tisk :P
Can you do a dedicated tutorial to mesh slaps?
as far as I'm aware, this doesn't fit the category of mesh slap. Though mesh slaps look overly simple
omg omg cobra omg omg omg i am big big fan of cobra
anyway nice video great job
cobra? I don't know what you mean, this is a fully original car that I made up on my own :P

How many times was the thumbnail and title changed?
thumbnail once, and the title a few times because of changes, and then realising I made mistakes with it.
the unfortunate thing is that most people need motivation to click on a video... and I suck at giving that to people in the title/thumb, so I have to throw things at the wall until something sticks :(
