The Anomaly is a reference to Primeval, a fantastic British television series. The Anomaly in-game looks and sounds identical to its anomalies.
I think it's actually referencing a game called pacific drive, there's a bunch of anomalies in the game and one of them throws your car just like that
It is indeed a reference to Primeval :).
That show is awesome and severly underated in my opinion, and the anomalies are so cool looking that I couldn't not attempt to add them in when I had a chance to.

Thanks for showcasing the mod :). The Convergence is a work in progress so things may change in the future; it's also one of those things where I had a stupid idea and the logical part of me realised that there wasn't anything stopping me from adding it (other than about 2 months of time lol).
There's been lots of comments about using this mod in multiplayer - right now, it will not work properly :(. The main issue is this mod doesn't use vehicles as the explosives (which makes it significantly more performant), but that means mods like BeamMP that isn't built to sync world objects will not show explosions for everyone on the server. Truthfully, I also need to properly look into it - depending on how its implemented (I assume it's sensibly creating a single server that acts as the "source of truth") depends on whether it's even possible. There are many, many implementation questions and concerns that would need to be addressed, however it's the most highly requested feature to add so I intend to at least look into it. But it will at least be quite a while before multiplayer is properly supported I would imagine :).
i tried the convergence. it took me an hour to beat and broke my brain. Good mod👍
It sure is amazing that explosions in BeamNG started with the propane tank mod. We've come a long way! The Convergence game mode looked incredible and seeing a video of it would be great 😲

If you can aim forward / backward with the weapon/s whilst driving at 150+ that be nice
Thats what i was thinking. Like dodging explosions and lightning, or using the grav bombs to reach different parts of a track.

This would be fantastic in multiplayer: 1 person placing the nukes along the route and everyone else trying to get to a safe point

So i could honestly see using the lightning storm and shockwave on some of those multiplayer downhill maps with the first person to reach the end sets off one of the big explosions.
Orbital strike needs to move about a bit, and have a single beam. Then it will look like the beam from the satellite in Goldeneye.
I literally laughed out loud when you mentioned bringing in the SCP Foundation. Then again, most of these advanced explosions would definitely be classified as XK-Class end of the world scenarios lol

Before I clicked the video and watched, we had nukes a long time ago in BeamNG ...
Yeah, the explosions/Shockwave or anything with a blast or effect radius has to be placed by camera so the centre/ground zero ain't in the car, or else it won't effect it. The car has to be somewhere inside the radius, but not at the center of it
The best car for „Convergence“ is the S- Tune Sunburst „Totally stock“
(I tested it with multiple modded and vanilla vehicles and got the best results with „Totally stock“

neil, please have this in a multiplayer video. Perhaps a player or 2 are the ones placing the bombs while the rest of you race from point to point on different maps with them increasing the bombs until you all have to face the boss together. I know the group of guys can figure it out!

You should download the E-schintilla mod and use the drag version its all wheel drive and can reach about 250 mph so its fast
i tried the boss and at the last phase last stage it is not possible even on easy difficulty:
- inacurate hitboxes
- even a top speed scintilla cant go fast enough
-attacks are way too big
-slightly bumping a wall is considered a fail

I think the first one is randomly occurring black holes that suck everything into them that's scary if you'd like explosions like that or dangerous features you take up check out universe sandbox too or universe sandbox great fun you can collide planets you can do anything you want in there basically if it can happen in physics you can do it in there you can have a solar systems crash together you can get a solar system by a black hole it's loads of fun if you like stuff like that have fun with that trust me it's fun
