For the curious, my iStock portfolio is still active at the moment: www.istockphot...
I could not find the cool retro Image Bank book photos online.
The archival iStock website was loaded via archive.org
Your channel is like the Stanley parable of youtube channels. I'm not exactly sure what's going on but I love it.
AHAHAHA THIS IS ACTUALLY SO TRUE
This is the story of a man named Posy…
I love these backstory videos. Thanks for giving us a look from your perspective.
Thank you, how nice to see you here :)
wow what a surprise seeing you here ben!
I love you both
What a fantastic surprise! 2 of the MOST thorough youtubers.
Its stupid that this channel doesn't have 1M subscribers.
I'm a big fan since the Windows cursor video, and I use it on my computer and absolutely love it!
I watched the windows cursor vid y'day. Today, I noticed the angle difference between the lower acute tips and the base of the mouse stem/tail. Cannot unsee. 10/10 video.
I think you won the RUclips algorithm lottery with the segmented display video 🤣
Love your videos. Awesome
Can confirm. Got recommended to me for no reason
Not that I'm complaining
@@SaloCh Same here, And i dont regret a single thing
I was ignoring it (and the cursor video) for about a week now, and YT just recommended me his green flash video and strange LCDs. next day couple more and here I am.
Indeed!! Thank you
Haha, I also found his channel through that video.
100% is not boring.
I'm really glad the RUclips algorithm decided to show me your channel today.
I thought the title said $10 but I still was interested lol
Yeah, in Europe we use the dot to make numbers more readqble, with adding them after every three digits, instead of commas like in the US.
And the comma is for decimal numbers, for which the US uses the dot.
It really can be quite confusing sometimes
@CEO of Unpopular Opinions I mean I don't know the reason, but the US, UK and China could do it like every other country.
There's an entire Wikipedia article about the 'decimal seperator', the history is very interesting!
@@fireskorpion396 if you read the wiki article you know that it's not just those three countries that use . as decimal separator. and there are obviously far more than just these two systems
@@LC-hd5dc I think the three I mentioned were the first ones that were listed in the article.
And tbh, no, I did not read the entire article on decimal seperators, I only suggested to read it if the other guy was interested, considering he replied "interesting".
Same!
DUDE I RECOGNIZE THAT LENS FLAYER PHOTO that feels so unbelievably crazy
maybe i’m wrong. still felt strange
Re-exported and still mispelled "borig". 🤣 Love your videos nonetheless!
AaaAaaarrrgghh..... 😱
@@PosyMusic google is offering to translate that into english but it still says the same thing when i click it
@@willehster yeah, Google "translate" often gets false hits
@@thundersheild926 i know… that was the joke lol
Although a boring subject your voice makes it easy to listen to while spacing out
The fact that he broke a picture frame for a video is true dedication. I love your humor, Posy.
17000 views as at 13 May 2022. The fact that RUclips suggested the video to me isn't a surprise... this is right up my street! Subbed now.
I absolutely recognize that lense flare image. I have no idea from where or from when. But it is absolutely familiar.
You say it is the most boring video, and yet it is wonderfully fascinating!
It has to be said that your channel presents some form of extraordinary quality content. I'd love to see you more successfull and well known. You are basically a part of group which makes people relaxed, despite full focus and learning process in progress. Hope to see more of your videos soon.
And with this video, your image made a whopping 2 extra dollars. Incredible!
your voice is a pure pleasure to listen.
Well I'm glad the algorithm helped me find this video. Great content, and I hope you keep it up!
nah dude, this video wasn't boring. I think you confuse boring with calming and relaxing :)
love your channel btw
Not boring, not boring at all!!
Just wanted to stop in and say your videos are amazing and super interesting, I love the mix of backstory/documentation and design, it's a great combo I've only ever seen 1 or 2 other people do. I hope you gain more traction!
@@JanyaAndromedaGalactic Jeez I hope so, something about how he says it sounds more genuine LOL
I am insanely happy, I found this channel. I love your videos so much!
You have a GREAT voice for videos, man!
This guy is slowly narrating his life with his quirky but awesome videos
I Love it
Expectations are not justified. Video is not boring.
The same happened to me. One of my RUclips videos got 1.3 million views in a very short time.
It was one short take. Not corrected or anything.
At the same time, I had a few better videos on offer.
Most views were from India. At one time I had the 1000 subscribers and the required viewing time to turn monetization back on.
I got Euro 77 from it before the views just stopped.
Your videos are interesting and funny and I always learn something. I'm always impressed by the audio quality.
Sending power and blessings from Melbourne Australia
Us skateboarders know all about fisheye lenses, that's been the preferred lens for filming skating since the beginning of skate videos.
THIS CHANNEL IS THE BEST THING I HAVE FOUND. KEEP MAKING THESE INCREDIBLE VIDEOS
Such a charming character you have
I think I've found my new content crush.
I've just finished watching all the videos from oldest to newest and I recommend doing the same, they're all brilliant. For some reason this one stuck in my head, possibly because it's about algorithms failing users and it's also under viewed.
I've been on RUclips longer than the 10 years this channel has been around and all the content on it is so very much my taste, so why have I not been shown it until the segment display video? The world may never know...
I love how this channel finally got blessed by the algorithm. All the videos are so interesting!
0:13 Hainbach!
After watching Babylon 5 all those years ago, I became a massive fan of lens flare... still love it today. :)
Thanks for the insight! Much appreciated.
Unique content, unique personality. Instant fan!
Idunno about you, but I definitely won a lottery ticket in these youtube algorithms, I found your channel. And it's awesome!
I love that final shot, the broken frame giving you a feeling of the broken potential of microstock photography.
Lol. I used your fireworks photo while working for crap landing page designs. Probably had that lens flare photo in my assets folder too, we had an almost unlimited subscription with istock. But with the search being crap, we also kept local copies of useful files.
Stock photos like this were really useful for the type of useless decoration graphics that designers were forced to push out, some only used as random effect layers.
happy i found this channel
Keep making these, they're so good.
This video made me subscribe no matter how "boring" it might seem to others
THIS VIDEO MADE ME SUSCRIBE. And ring the bell, too. I love the joke (intentional or not) at the end, too.
...............a video about gaming search results anywhere would be good. But also on youtube...
Clearly it is I who won the algorithm lottery - I got to find your videos.
Your channel is so awesome. So full of character, uniqueness. Love it.
this video isn't boring at all, this was really good, I love how you developed the story
This is not boring at all! Those are really nice photos
Another interesting and well made video, keep it up even if you’re not getting the big bucks from RUclips! I enjoy them a lot
I had that camera. Loved it. It got me in to shooting Minolta and then Sony as Minolta became Sony. It was a great wee camera that.
I'm glad you've made $46 dollars so far! Well earned.
Istock photo has become the Spotify of Stock photography
Your channel is so underrated. I bumped into the lcd videos a few days ago and I am now binge watching your entire catalogue !
Your humor coupled with your soothing voice and accent plus your obvious knowledge of all this geeky magic are pure gold.
Subscribed with the space + time buttons !
Your Video are soo good.
Well produced 😊👍
Momenteel heb je ongeveer 70 cent verdiend.
Ik zal even een paar keer op F5 voor je drukken.
Love your channel, cadence, and especiall your voice.
I live in the US and It reminds me of .. well.. the Netherlands. My true home.
Watching your videos is a wonderful way to de-stress and learn things I never knew before. Thank you for your hard work.
i do not think this could be called a boring video
Your videos never cease to amaze me.
I loved this! Thank you for such entertaining videos. Anything you make is worth watching, even if you warn me otherwise.
I can hear this guy talking hours and hours and I'll still won't be bored.
And then Posy got the RUclips Algorhythm to smile at him
love this channel
You won the microstock lottery, I won the RUclips algorithm lottery and found a hidden gem of a channel!
79000 views. Grats to your $79! And now we can add AI images to the reasons not to start uploading to Microstock sites.
Thanks for a great video! Not boring at all.
happy to report that at the time of watching that Posy has made $30 on this video, I'm very proud
To an extent it's not really so much lottery but dedication and doing something when there was peak demand. After two successful first page results, it looks less like a lottery or coincidence, like, you'd never know which of the hundreds of images would be the winner, but it was likely enough that one or several might be.
But now the work of populating the library of images is long done and it's not in demand any longer, so the opportunity has dried up.
As to RUclips, I don't know if it's blooming or saturated yet. But already, RUclips has such a library of evergreen legacy content that it's too big to fail, which is scary.
Those photos were really cool.
I absolutely love photography, never done it professionally, I haven't made a penny out of it (despite spending hundreds on gear).
It's just fun!
I love your content. Thank you please! More!
I won the lottery by finding this channel :)
Interesting as always. I think I'll start giving you a thumbs up from every multi-account.;)
What a fantastic video
That is quite sad, as a struggling artist I feel you. I hope your channel explodes in views and subscribers and you'll get more successful. I've been drawing for like 5 years, haven't been popular at all, earned like 20 dollars
Algorithm is here for you. You’ve won
That's so crazy, I know that photo from waaay back... An online friend of mine used it as profile picture, and I always found that strange.
Thanks for the awesome content
If you've already made $ 10,000 from your photo, you can also buy a new frame ;-)
You have made very beautiful music (it is already an old song) but I still think it's beautiful. Simple and beautiful.
Graag gedaan ;-)
Dank u wedermaal ;)
"By the way, I cancelled the upload and re-exported the freaking video because I misspelled 'disappointment' "

Don't look at the spelling for 'boring' then!
(but I love all your videos, so don't sweat the small stuff)
Yay, I won the algorithm lottery and came upon this channel. I won videos, you won a subscriber! :)
Of course, I first read Microsoft and thought, it’s about the photos you see when entering your Passcode on program start……
Please Stick with YT and give us more to watch!
Are the hilly photos from Drielandenhoek area?
Heyy by profession I'm a self taught graphic designer and still learning i don't know why but your video is so much motivational 😇
Very awesome.
Super cool! Subscribed.
I won a lottery that rhymes with microstock
Heh. Looks like you won the RUclips algorithm lottery
That's exactly what I thought
Ive seen that photo several times
I can't remember in which very old cel phone I had that pic as a background and totally loved it!!!
Is there a link to download it today??? 🤞😁
I should go check on some of my old micro-stock photos 😅 They're probably 10 years old now. I'm sure they've never been downloaded but it would be fun to know for sure so I can feel appropriately bad for how long I spent on them! 🤦
Yep! Zero downloads 😂
0:12 haha! You porbably watched Photonicinduction too 😂😂
Your videos are great. The algorithm will realize it very soon and reward you, I am sure.
Super cool channel.
I Love your channel!
I have no idea why but RUclips's algorithm suggested your video
How. Does. Your. Channel. Has. So. Few. Subscribers.
Yes read it with the dots.
Bumped on a Kenwood video of yours and know I discovered a whole new side of RUclips.
Congrats on the 19 dollars!
That was amazing!
I like these pictures, I want it ❤
Congratz to the 13 euro! :)
I know Europe does commas and periods different but I still looked at the thumbnail and instantly thought "$10".
The algorithm really is responsible for the 1-hit-wonder videos with millions of views on channels with less than 10k subs. I often wonder if lady luck has a preference.
Earned my subscription!! :)
Microstock and Wedding photography have a lot of similarity. Professional profitable wedding photography is dead sadly nowadays due to over saturation and a race to the bottom.
Love your videos mate
Would love to see some on your audio work!
