I am extremely impressed and proud at how articulate and well educated Mahathir is in English and at conducting an interview at such an old age. He's a very good representation of a well educated Malaysia that I look forward to visiting again. I salute

Malaysia had a former aristocratic class that was educated in English and sometimes went to the UK for that.
The democratic elites inherited that culture, but today's mastery of English communication among my fellow countrymen is diluted due to disinterest, or inadequate educational resources.

I am impressed. It was not a walk in the park interview. Punches were not pulled, mostly. Dr Mahatir at 93 (!) impressed as a leader in full control of his faculties, his analysis, his remit and power to shape things. His answers were not apologetic or defensive, nor combative or belligerent. They were measured but firm covering everything from domestic alliances to international relations. The interview from 21min about DrM's highlights is most enlightening. Multi-racialism as his proudest moment (though couched in terms of electoral politics) surely bodes well for the country. Let's hope that Malaysia can be a beacon to the world in these dark times.

The interviewer didn’t sound polite at all.. he should be aware that he is talking to a PM, not a common man. Yes, he is blunt but it could have been more courteous.

For most people brief contact with a small amount of oil will do no harm. ... Light crude oil may also be irritating if it contacts your eyes. Swallowing small amounts (less than a coffee cup) of oil will cause upset stomach, vomiting, and diarrhea, but is unlikely to have long-lasting health effects.

This reporter is poor. He tried to act intelligent and provoking but he was spending too much time on the past. Going over questions that Mahathir has answered before and can answer with his eyes closed.
That question line on Saudi Arabia shows a hidden agenda.
