Zunar is absolutely right in his summing up at the end of this great report. Despite the world media bringing to attention all these horrendous crimes by Najib, Rosmah, and their sidekicks, it is the Malaysian people as a whole that need to 'man up' and overturn the open abuse of power by their political and business elite. Not just the few brave and courageous people in this report who have stood up and been counted. Sorry to say too much democracy is the biggest virus that kills nations. The fact that India and the Phillippines have very little reduction in poverty is the best indicator of what is wrong with the system of democracy. Look at Vietnam and China, they are communist regimes but poverty has been reduced to single digit numbers compared with the Philippines and India which are on the high side of the double digits. Malaysia has had a very bad case of a corrupt politician, but certainly the system and organization of Malaysia is so well organized that the country can pick itself up from this major crisis and get back on its feet again, without losing its competitive edge. Ask any foreign investor which country they would prefer to invest in this region today and they will mention just three countries - Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Thats a fact and you should learn to accept it, my friend.

Yesterday on the 23rd August 2022 Najib was finally sent to be incarcerated in Kajang Prison for 12 years and ordered to pay a fine of RM210 million or 5 years jail after his appeal to set aside the guilty verdict handed down to him 2 years ago by the high court for his involvement in the SRC case was rejected by the Federal Court corrum of 5 judges.

After PH toppled Najib by GE14, until 22 months of their governance, they couldn't bring Najib to face the punishment and also, they failed to govern Malaysia as a whole in which just increased racial tension and instability. PH is good as opposition but failed to make action during their rule. At the end of the day, their greed for power had brought destruction and finally Najib has become relevant again.

I have lived and worked in Indonesia and Philippines for some time now and believe me the common man there is just as corrupted and greedy, but their leaders would not dare to be corrupted so openly, because their democracy system actually works, if you are caught with corruption next election bye bye. So a matured democracy is essential...
Sorry to say too much democracy is the biggest virus that kills nations. The fact that India and the Phillippines have very little reduction in poverty is the best indicator of what is wrong with the system of democracy. Look at Vietnam and China, they are communist regimes but poverty has been reduced to single digit numbers compared with the Philippines and India which are on the high side of the double digits. Malaysia has had a very bad case of a corrupt politician, but certainly the system and organization of Malaysia is so well organized that the country can pick itself up from this major crisis and get back on its feet again, without losing its competitive edge. Ask any foreign investor which country they would prefer to invest in this region today and they will mention just three countries - Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Thats a fact and you should learn to accept it, my friend.

It is the same case because Malaysia once had a strongman period in the 80s & 90s which was also the best growth period ever, the same goes for Thailand (Thaksin Shinawatra) & Singapore (Lee Kuan Yew), these leaders were basically autocrats behind the shades of democracy
