Awesome set of BNSF Catches. I noticed some CN was mixed in with those grain trains too!! Nice! Awesome sound as well. Hearing the trains coming from a far distance is pretty awesome.
Thank you WH_Railfan84! This location is great for capturing the sounds of the locomotives. I thought it was pretty cool hearing the DPU on the manifest, throttle down some just as it takes the main. You should hear it on a real cold day, sometimes you can clearly hear the train coming when it's over 10 miles away! Thanks for watching my friend!
Another great amazing video of a huge grain and combo locomotive 🚂. Great railroading action. Transporting and delivering the nation's products. Love ❤ those bnsf locomotives. Thanks
Great video, Dave! 2 CN dpu's and both in the dance spot, very cool. Love foreign power. Watch jawtooth also, so I get allot of NS, CSX, and CE. Thanks for the video. My friend stay well roll on
Thank you Mark and you're welcome! That was cool, usually don't see more than one foreign power in a days outing, to see two, both being CN and in the same location in the consist was really special! Thanks for watching my friend!
That train on the siding at 7 or so minutes was pulling 90 cars with 6 leading locomotives (GEVOs and one SD40-2) and one Dash 9 trailing. I wonder if some of the front locomotives in the front were just along for the rid being taken somewhere because that seems like an awful lot of horse power for 90 cars.
On that train, only the lead locomotive and the DPU were working, the rest were along for the ride. The SD40-2 in the consist was probably headed back to Whitefish, or another terminal as they are used for switching and locals. Thanks for watching my friend!
Thank you Kevin! It's in northwest Montana on BNSF's Kootenai River subdivision, which runs from Whitefish, Montana to Sandpoint, Idaho. This siding (Ripley) is located seven miles east of Libby, Montana. Thanks for watching my friend!

Still amazed of the size and length of these trains. Some of these have six locomotives in the front. They are connected in some way?
