Thanks a lot for the info been looking for thos speaker pods and wasnt trying to give up my first born for em 😀 so a big thank you for that! Love what you did. Keep your head ona swivel my man. Peace.
Man, this is outstanding. I sure would like to have a nice audio system on my Road King. I'd like to change out my detachable windshield to a DeadCenter detachable fairing and have a GPS system built in. I have the 2009 Road King Classic and have about 28k on it. Thanks again for the great idea. You did a nice job. 👍🏽🤠 11/21/22
How do these compare to just wearing headphones? Over all volume and hearing at cruising speed I mean? Are they noticeably louder vs phones? With all the wind and road noise?
Great set up (you gave me the idea to install a system on my road king) I do have a question for you: you have a 4 channel amp how did you hook the RCA cables up,amp has front and rear the docking cable has left and right? Are you able to adjust the front and rear speakers with the amp gain? Thanks for the video John
I cut a 1x6 board a little larger than my amp and painted it flat black. Then mounted it to the bag with screws. A little touch up paint on the screw heads and mounted amp to board. Its been 4 years and I have not had any problems with it.
3480cableguy Thank you for the reply. So you drilled holes thru the bags to attach the wood.?and mounted the amp to the wood. Is there any way you could send me some detailed pictures of inside the bags and how wires are ran? Usera_red@yahoo.com is my email. I appreciate your time and the information
I've had the Rumble Roads amplified speakers and one of them eventually quit working. After taking them apart and seeing a bad solder connection, I fixed them and sold the system to another rider to recoup some of my investment (I gave him a deal he couldn't pass up) I then decided to just use a couple driving light housings to make my own speakers and did as you did and installed some speakers I bought of Amazon and hooked them up to a cheap amp I also got off Amazon to power them. I used my MP3 player (which also has FM radio in it) mounted on my handlebars. The system I made sounded better than the Rumble Roads speakers for a fraction of the cost. Some of the systems sold for bikes are really over priced for what you get and the sound is crap compared to the system you can make yourself. I've had three of the Shark systems on some of my bikes (250w and two 600w sound systems) and they all failed in less than 6 months, so I suggest staying clear of that junk. The Boss speaker/amp systems are very good and I really liked mine. The 600w system has a great sound from such small speakers, it's almost shocking. Best sounding system I've had up to that point. Now I have an after market batwing fairing (Harley clone) with 6 X 9" speakers, with a marine stereo that really sounds great! It actually has some bass. I never have to turn it past 1/2 volume to hear it out on the interstate, it rocks!

How did you mount the AMP inside the bags. Drill holes or Velcro? Great video and plenty detail
