haha! I remember this one.. Oct 2012 and you can just see my car in the background at 30:33. Was great to meet you boys all those years ago. Pretty sure the track after the fallen bridge went to a gate or something that stopped us from going on. Did you guys make it further? Might have to get back up there soon and see what's changed. Take care John. Dan.
Had a old CJ that would bubble up like that in the Overflow jug all the time on hot days did everything to figure out the problem. Turnd out the radiator was not flowing properly and of course it was the last thing I replaced...
This video was made with peoples budget in mind but the new show make it seem like people have a spare 20k in there back pocket. Its not the same roothy did the shows so much better!
Yes, thanks to my old boss at Express Media. I'm hoping to get them all up for posterity. Proud of what I did, proud of my trucks and very proud to show off our country.
@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY out of all the places you have been What would you say has to be your favourite? I just bought a Pajero last year and so far I’ve been to newnes (Lithgow) but wanting to plan trips with friends and family later down the track but it’s so hard to decide with so many places to go
What trail are you on in the beginning I’m local to Newcastle but family grew up Dowling street old fruit shop so I still go to the allyn camping every opportunity I get but only did the 1 4wd only track out there never been up frying pan way Keen to kno where you got in and got out to tackle it
Gotta love a v8 of any kind. Any chance you remember the name of some of those trails. I was camping at Frying Pan in March, unfortunately we don't have lockers or a winch so we chickened out of some tracks while some were just to ever grown for us as we don't want a heap of scratches all over the car.
Loving your uploads Roothy. Not sure who told you that crock about having to rebalance tyres after running low pressures though. That's only needed if the tyre spins on the rim & whether that happens or not has zero to do with tyre construction.
@@rhetth-s8082 As a tyre fitter of almost 30 years, I can assure you there's zero difference between tyres of the same size. Sidewall height will make a difference but sidewall construction doesn't unless it's taken to ridiculous levels 🤙

What I love about roothy, you are not told you can only do these tracks with a $70k canopy from pitzalloy, an overpriced you Bute winch, unnecessarily expensive 12v system from pinkarch and all the other you must buy this to do this. Absolutely beautiful red truck wish you still had the beast toothy still Milo mark 1 was amazing too we love the video's
Truck? No Kenworth in this video
Lead springs. No power steer. 10 gears changed with a stick. Same power to weight ratio as a - gee, a real truck used to be.
Yea! Rocket rod! Great wheeling
09:59 that’s why they call him rocket 🚀
I’m shock seeing Rocket in something other than a Toyota!🤯
he looks younger in this... maybe it flimed was it a couple of years ago?
@@krashdown102 it’s 7 years ago I think hasn’t had the red truck for a long time and the camera quality gives it away also

And the guys proceed to tell you how you don't need the biggest best rig with everything, while they have 3 of their own like that
When Roothy was gone from the team, l stopped buying their magazines. The show just turned into a shit show and wasn’t worth watching anymore.
agreed
They have their budget build series. Granted, it's more commercial now but still good watching. Just different.
Love your simplicity John!
rocket doesn't look a day older then 35! holy shit
Rocket's a mad man😂😂
Is the goal to upload all the 4wd action dvds that you were in?
If so I’m all for it 👍

I have found that heavy duty tyres are much less likely to pop a bead than light duty tyres.

I'd reckon - although we havemt caught up lately - he's very passionate about wildlife rescue.
Inspiring 👍🏼

All for the camera mate.
Yes I was thinking the same thing, hopefully the camera crew put it out, either way sadly it was showing bad practice to viewers.
