Thank you for a an informative vlog👍🏽. I was unaware of the two types of dual citizenship. I am hoping to move to Uganda. I chose it because the £ would stretch far there...
@@danielkofiboadux please when you do do, make sure you give out correct info! Research research research before making videos about countries that you have never been to.
I invested in Zimbabwe in 2013, it is a beautiful country and the Zimbabweans are wonderful Brothers and Sisters, I plan to return later, hopefully, the financial situation improves.
Yes! Zimbabwe is very beautiful and English is widely spoken but the economic crisis is a major problem. Zimbabwe would be a hot country to move to if it had a stable economy.
There are many millions of Zimbabweans outside the country, if they decide to come back home and you are in inviting people into our country, where do you think they will go?
Mugabe single-handedly ruined Zimbabwe's economy with literally the most insanely stupid economic policies. I think he is the only leader in history to wreck a country's economy in a manner that didn't involve war or mass murder
Renouncing of dual citizenship applies anyone who have the intention of becoming a president of Gambia including even those with Gambian roots. So Renouncing is only on political cases, the rest is noise. You should try better research next time, much love.😍
Good advice. Please do a lot of research both online and on ground before you finally take the leap. Also, keep your American citizenship. Very important. So you can benefit from both countries.

These are countries that have their own native languages however they are also english speaking countries and I want to find out if any of these countries have a decent imprint in the entertainment industry so that I can start my own production company. I plan to make my first trip next year(2021) to Kenya and hopefully Uganda. I need all the information I get so that I can make a solid choice to make the right move when that time does come.
If you are into entertainment then Uganda is for you. Its the Entertainment capital of East Africa, with annual shows like Nyege Nyege that attract people from all over the world. Kampala is the city that never sleeps.
I am favoring east African countries (EAF) because they have the potential to become an economic powerhouse in the near future. However, I am open to other African countries as well. Stay far far away from the French controlled colonies.
The reason to stay away from French controlled colonies is because the French is charging them for colonization, keeping the former colonies money, controlling & manipulating the former colonies currencies. Depressing their former colonies economic growth potential so they can keep importing cheap goods & raw materials.
@@JJ-fq4nl thanks for the explanation! I figured as much. France is a B. I am still considering Madegascar and one of the Congos, or even Senegal. But screw France.
So clarify. He says if you are American you can not keep your American citizenship if seeking Gambian citizenship BUT if you are Gambian....key word GAMBIAN...you CAN keep your Gambian citizenship even if you go seek another. Thank God RUclips suggested this video, my perception on your channel changed for the better from the first video I watched of you. Keep spreading positivity & light :)
You are right concerning Gambia's dual citizenship. I can see some people are getting confused on the issue. A Dual Citizenship is allowed for only Gambia citizens to hold other citizenship without renouncing their Gambia citizens. But a black American or British without any Gambian root have to renounce their first citizenship before acquiring Gambian citizenship.
I thought it was if they are going for certain political offices or is that false too? Of a Gambian American can have dual citizenship, how is it possible that a black American can't under any circumstance?
@@sylviasworld9397 Yes, that is the problem. There is a RUclipsr and her group in The Gambia call Bla xit family have sent a petition to the parliament to consider changing the constitution. The constitution says that anyone bone outside The Gambia which has Gambian roots as well as Gambian citizens can hold their dual citizenship without renouncing. Those who have no connection to The Gambia Root have to renounce their first citizenship before they can become Gambian citizens.
@@sylviasworld9397 For example, in Ghana, everybody including Ghanaian citizens can hold their dual citizenship but if you want to take a higher position such as a member of parliament, president, security capo then you have to renounce the other citizens.

I drove from England to West Africa, where I am at the moment as you can see on my channel and I have been places here on the continent where I don't speak the language and they do not speak mine, but we communicate and get along. I do not think choosing a country for english, french, portuguese or spanish is a good idea, because it is how you feel in the environment that matters. I went to Guinea-Bissau 🇬🇼 that speak portorguese, Wollof, Mandinka and Fulani of which I don't speak any and I love that country👌🏿👊🏿👍🏿
Yes it’s so crazy how people don’t know africa is Connected to many lands/ continents. You can’t just read a book to know everything. You got to get out there and see for yourself.

I’m really looking into Ghana, The Gambia, Kenya, Burkina Faso, and Rwanda. I haven’t been yet but trying to plan a 2-3 week trip and visit 3 of them. Do you have any suggestions of a combination of those to visit? I’m an Afro American that’s tired of Amerikkka.✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾💯💯💯
Day Dilla Kenya and Rwanda are also hours away , If you get an East African multiple entry visa you can move within Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya without any restrictions
If you are Maroon from Jamaica then you are automatically a Ghanaian a direct Ghaian descended. Your great grandfathers are from the coast around the Cape coast. The Chief and elders in Cape Coast are giving a free Land for people like you so try to get own.
I’m of Haitian descent and I speak both English and French fluently and I’m looking into moving to Senegal, Seychelles, Mauritius, or Gabon. And anytime I’d mention Seychelles or Mauritius people look at me funny and ask why don’t I choose Ghana? Ghana is a beautiful country, but I don’t feel a connection to Ghana, but I would visit there tho
You're being picky. Rather go to an African country where you can contribute with your skills. Seychelles and Mauritius were not even inhabited until colonized.
@Stanley Dougé True but you seem to be missing my point. Although these island groups are considered part of Africa for some or other reason, they are not. Neither were inhabited before European exploration and thus there would be no diasporic "returning to the motherland".
Ill definitely be moving to The Gambia I dont mind giving up my citizenship. The borders are closed right now so Ill fly in to Senegal then bus/boat ride to The Gambia. Question: Is it necessary to get a round trip or can I get a one way? Thanks for putting out great videos as always friend.

Hello Daniel, It was a difficult choice between Ghana and The Gambia, but I will be taking my family to The Gambia. We filed for our passports two months ago, contacted the embassy, and making other preparations to leave this year!
Who cares about politics. The private sector is better and safer in Africa. I guess they will have doubts about where your loyalties lie if you are a dual citizen?
Point of correction: Africa has 4 major language groups: English speakers e.g Ghana, Nigeria, French speakers E. G Mali, senegal, Portuguese speakers E. G Angola, Arabic speakers E. G Morocco, Tunisia, egypt. Then there are the outliers E. G equitorial Guinea that speaks Spanish, Ethiopia that speaks Amharic
Thank you for sharing this information, those who are outside of African Especial African descendants will know what is really going on in some of this African countries. Yes am a Gambian but I must commend your effort, Thank you my dear.
I didn’t mention because of how it will make the others from that country feel had to reconsider so I made it into something we can all relate to hope you understand

I'm going to do mine because that was my place of choice. Either way, this video has brought some light to the subject matter.
Daniel Kofi, You spoke a fair bit during the 10 minute video but you actually gave very few usable facts other than the dual citizen conversation and the Francophone/English discussion. Not really kosher my friend, not a useful 10 minutes at all. Hope your next set of videos do much better in terms of real data being given to readers/subscribers. Thanks @travel_the_world for your concrete information about countries that allow one to hold dual citizenship. And nice points that you brought up @rochanne_Johnson

Love your channel, I learn so much about Africa. The content is brilliant, thank you cousin, with the information you supply, I shall reach my Africa shore very soon.
I mean I’m interested in moving to Africa! But I am really concerned about is it going to be worth it? I mean most of the leaders in Africa seem like their haven’t got their peoples best interest at heart. Seems like a lot of the leaders are giving up their children’s future away by giving up so much land and just letting the west and Asians ride roughshod over them. I mean why jump out of the frying pan into the Pan ? Someone please educate me on the situation please.
If you study your country before hand, have a solid plan, have local people who know the country and you can trust, and understand that things do take time, and of course have enough capital, you will be fine and have a decent life.
U forgot the lusophone countries, African countries that speak Portuguese. Angola, Mozambique, Cape verde, sao tome, Guinea-Bissau and equatorial-Guinea. We must get rid of these colonial languages tho.
Keep the colonial languages. It enables us to interact with the rest of the world. Almost half the world speaks the European languages that Africans speak. That's half the world worth of new customers, new products, new ideas, etc. That's why you and I can understand each other right now.

Yes! Zimbabwe is very beautiful and English is widely spoken but the economic crisis is a major problem. Zimbabwe would be a hot country to move to if it had a stable economy.

Mugabe single-handedly ruined Zimbabwe's economy with literally the most insanely stupid economic policies. I think he is the only leader in history to wreck a country's economy in a manner that didn't involve war or mass murder

I am favoring east African countries (EAF) because they have the potential to become an economic powerhouse in the near future. However, I am open to other African countries as well. Stay far far away from the French controlled colonies.
Welcome to Kenya.
You stay far away because their economies are more depressed? I speak all 5 languages, so am considering (almost) all countries.
The reason to stay away from French controlled colonies is because the French is charging them for colonization, keeping the former colonies money, controlling & manipulating the former colonies currencies. Depressing their former colonies economic growth potential so they can keep importing cheap goods & raw materials.
