      Congrats on the move Doctor . I had the same sentiments as you have shared in the video and in 2018, I decided to pack up my bags after living in the US for 20+ years and moved back to Uganda. The adjustments to the way of life hasn't been easy, but very rewarding for me and my family and we are slowly getting our business off the ground instead of sitting in fancy corporate office in the US waiting to collect a paycheck.

    I just found your channel. I'm an Afro Cuban/ Puerto Rican from New York. I fled the racism in the US 12 years ago, going to university in Rome. I've been in Rome for those 12 years and I have to say I'm exhausted, the West makes me feel so empty. I'm tired of feeling like people are "tolerating" my brown presence. I went to Ghana and stayed for 4 months and for the first time in my life I felt like I was really home. My natural state of being is the norm and my laugh, my walk, my essence is in everything. I know exactly what you mean, my soul felt whole. I could literally feel my ancestors joy for me. So I'm leaving Europe too. I'm in the process of buying land in Ghana. Africa is our true home

      I am glad that you found some peace in Ghana. You mention that you're Afro Cuban, Cuba is a very special place for me. I am originally from Nigeria, the Yoruba region to be precise and I was in Cuba 2 years ago. It was a transformative experience. I visited the Yoruba museum in Old Habana and visited a Maroon/Cimarron village in Mantanzas province and actually learned a lot of Yoruba history over there. I have since learned of famous Yoruba Cubans such as Carlota la Negra of the Triunvirato plantation slave rebellion and Prieto the slave turned soldier in the Lucumi war. I mention this because once settled in Africa you may be interested in looking into some of the common traditions between Cuba and Yoruba in West Africa (Nigeria and Benin republic) , particularly the orishas, lucumi and Santeria. A lot AfroCubans were Yoruba because of the collapse of the Oyo empire back in West Africa and many of them actually did manage to return to West Africa.
      African Diasporans are interested in finding their 'roots' and I am very much interested in finding out about my diasporic 'branches'. I strongly believe both of these are things that should be incorporated into history curricula across the black world to encourage unity.

That grandfather lived to be 103 yrs old. He passed the religion to his children and we have an unbroken line of priests in our family. I named my oldest daughter after my Yoruba ancestor, Faiola. I am a priestess of Yemaya, I believe you call her Yemoja. My father is a babalawo who has ties to Nigerian babalawos. My children have been raised in Italy Lucumi knowing the orishas since birth. Welcome bk. Saw your channel yesterday, I cried when I saw what u faced in DR. I faced racisim in Canada but very covert. Was there 14yrs, one day as I was leaving work through a heavy snowstorm I fell and cried. Asked my self, why am I suffering yet I can go bk home to Africa and suffer there. Three days later I flew bk home with my suitcases, I left everything everything in Canada. People thought am crazy, 10yrs later my life is on another level, those I left behind they are still hustling. Africa the vibrations are on another level, its new its fresh its a place full of challenges which in turn gives us so many opportunities. So Karibu Nyumbani, its time to occupy your space.

Never ever ever ever would I ever want to go bk out there ever ever. I cried to TMH called home told them am coming home. Didn't even want their citizenship. Am sooo much better off in Africa, in Kenya. My mind is at peace, great job (which I hated at first cause of $$$), great business and wonderful family. What is sad is how those out there wish to escape somewhere but they v no place to call home. It humbles u when u meet a refugee. They pray for peace to return bk home even if its in shambles. KAIZO POLYMATH feminism bro. The socio-Political structure of Africa is still colonial. Of course some ideologies are gonna seep through. Luckily the collapse of the west that we are witnessing will help African women see the danger of adopting the ideologies of westerners. Nonetheless across precolonial Afrika women and men ran their political affairs separately...and convened before elders for issues that affected the community as whole. If we keep it that way we will thrive. But the nonsense of integrating and forcing one group under the other rather than beside...twajimaliza!

I miss the innovative and creative ways people were trying to make a living and how they radiated joy even in the face of adversity. The lies they tell about Africa. Addis in Ethiopia was popping, Tanzania was beautiful. South Africa was too westernized for me. I realize that I want to be in an emerging economy living a simple life. • @jdilla999
      @jdilla999 4 года назад

      @JD Israel lol with due respect I get where youre coming from. Point being I get those Monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islaam) is based on the Male (Patriarch male chauvinism) but if theres a "FATHER" then theres a "MOTHER". If theres a Male Most High then theres a Female version, I dont see the issue lol....its very simple.
      Now you mentioned Genesis 1:26, yes Let "US" make man after our image & likeness....Right. Now the "US" can be male & female or both genders in one as (He-maphrodite & Her-maphrodite). Lets say a male God created Adam, what about Eve? Who gave Eve (Hawwah/Khawah or Nekaybaw) the mitochondrial Dna????? Only the Female (Mother) can pass it on. So again whats the issue? Lol

      Jeremiah 7:18 King James Version (KJV)
      18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the 👉🏿queen of heaven👈🏿, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
      The Aramic (Hebrew) word for Queen is #4446 Meleketh. Under Meleketh you'll see its reference to the Sumerian Goddess ISHTAR:
      #4446 Meleketh
      Brown-Driver-Briggs מְלֶ֫כֶת noun feminine queen (form difficult; compare Ol§ 147 d Köii, 169 n. Khonde Lugo USA 🇺🇸 for the past 32 years 😩 came to US at the age of 14. I’m originally from Cape Verde West Africa but I want to go settle in the continent. I’ll travel to CV when needed to see family if I manage to make it to continental Africa. Just don’t know anyone in the continent and I need to acquaint myself with natives in the continent itself. Thanks for your reply sweetie

      100% Don't get stranded out there. People need to make sure they do it properly and not head out there looking for a job. Passive income and a nice security fund should do.

    Omg so many people are moving to Africa. Being from the Caribbean, when I moved to the US I couldn’t believe the clear disparity between Blacks and Whites here. It’s like 2 different countries, cultures, music, food even Christian music here are separated by race. At least I have another country that I call home

    Dr. Harnet, congratulations on moving to Africa. There will be more than likely tens of thousands of Black Americans moving to Africa also to help build Africa's economy through S.M.A.R.T Development that is inclusive of health and spiritual living. Most of all, relocating to Africa to enjoy and experience the full embracing of being a human being and not treated unjust because of skin color. Bless you and congratulations. One day, all 54 African countries representatives do need to meet and draft a 20 year plan for Africa to establish a competitive economics vision and take control of Africa's resources to significantly reduce the Doctrine of Unequal Exchange that has hurt Africa's infrastructure. Thank you for sharing and Bless you.

I am still searching what I should do in Africa but I will contact you when I am ready to leave this hell. I understand why you decided to do that because I grew up in Eritrea 🇪🇷 and now I know that life is not all about money even though it’s essential to buy something. I am so proud of you my sister and I wish you the best life and great success in your plan.

    As a Kenyan in the US for two years now I can truly relate. I have seen both sides and The States is fast paced, there is money and opportunities. In Africa the opportunities are to be created there is full of love, kindness and comfort. A little kindness goes a long way. In the States life is expensive causing people to have to think about themselves. Not withstanding the social issues like racism which make one always nervous, you can never just relax. I only knew that I am black when I landed in the US. In Africa we are all black, all human, all equal and human dignity is upheld.
