I'm debating between the Ariens PLATINUM 28 RAPIDTRAK SHO Model #921057 or the Honda HSS928ATD. I get wet slushy snow at times, too, and my current two stage Simplicity Snow Away 7 gets clogged, and I'm tired of it. I did think about buying a single stage for the slushy heavy snow also. Any thoughts or recommendations?
Nice machine. Only thing I wish they didn’t remove was the fuel gauge on the tank! Hopefully you get a winter. Our winters have been disappointing the last 1/2 decade
Interesting , in Canada it is the HSS928ctd, comes with auger protection shut off and a double articulating chute like the 1332. Of course the price is over 5k Canadian. I find the joystick controlled chute rotation to be unbearably slow. Maybe there is a fix to be made.... The impeller also sounds like a Turbofan in overdrive.... that said it does send the slow a long way... I wish the transaxle had a drain and fill capability..... A simple 1/4 inch lynch pin into the left handgrip means "handsfree operation" ,..... for testing purposes only of course...... Still, I am nostalgic for my old 1972 Toro 726, eats snow like a beast, always has been 1 pull start even at minus 30 Celsius....

Great to see. I have this model and it is extremely capable. i am keeping it along with my 1336 I picked up last week.

No heated grips are a joke, though. I'm debating on getting this or the Ariens PLATINUM 28 RAPIDTRAK SHO. Any issues thus far?

I ended up putting teflon blocks to skid without scratching the concrete (not on this model, but another old Honda)

I just picked up the same one yesterday. Hope my wife likes it. I plan on putting a couple extra lights and maybe an impeller kit.
Be sure you need the impeller kit first and make sure you will not void your warranty with one.
