      @ConsumerBetterment The only one listed there that is "best" is the Honda. All the rest are economy grade snowblowers.

    FYI: If you upgrade your two stage blower impeller with a IMPELLER KIT, you'll have a non-clogging machine which will also throw the snow greater distances.

    While Yardmax, Craftsman and Powersmart might fit the budget for some, they are not better than Ariens, Toro or Honda. The video did not mention pricing as a factor. Not sure how the Honda and Toro could possibly be ranked at the bottom. 🥴

  • @daleolson512

    The best are the Honda snowblowers. They are expensive and last a lifetime...my HS928 runs perfect, built in 1999, no repairs just basic maintenance. Find a good used Honda for a good price and you are set for life.

    CC stands for cubic centimeters. The majority of these snow blowers are under powered if you live in a heavy snow area. Where I live in MA anyrhing under 8 hp is useless.
    To get horse power divide engine size by 29. My experience with track drive wasn't that great the snow blower wanted to go over thing like snow bank rather than thru.

    • @steve8803
      @steve8803 8 месяцев назад

      @worry2much not all track drive snowblowers are the same. Just like not all wheeled snowblowers are the same. Honda and Yamaha track drives are fantastic.

    I had a Power Smart brand 24 inch, 2-stage snowblower and it was not only cheaply made and ill-fitting plastic parts especially the chute which was poor fitting and hard to rotate because the teeth would not align properly. Also poorly designed for draining the dirty oil as the drain plug is directly behind the cables.
    In addition, the handlebars are positioned straight instead of angled like most other snowblower which puts strain on your back as you use it.
    The only positive is that it cost less than most 2-stage snowblowers because it is made in communist China.
    If you are looking to purchase one to save a little money, don't, you will regret it.

    Ariens is no longer the Wisconsin product it used to be. Now they use cheap Chinese parts that don’t last, and they don’t care that it breaks down every other year. Avoid this piece of crap.

    • @mwm2008
      @mwm2008 8 месяцев назад +2

      I hate to inform you, but this is incorrect.
      The only items sourced by Ariens in the build of their products are erhe plastic panels along the handles. EVERYTHINGZ ELSE is sourced domestically. Additionally, if you were to tour their assembly factory in Wisconsin, you'd literally see their WIP kits with shadow boards of all the components that go into the build of a unit. It's 97% USA Made and the major critical components are 100% USA Made

    • @CageyLeigh
      @CageyLeigh 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@mwm2008 I wish you were correct, but my Ariens had 3 major malfunctions in the first 2 years, and the repair shop finally fixed it by using John Deere replacement parts. He was the one that said even the Ariens parts were unreliable junk. You must have been lucky with yours.

      @@mwm2008 Are the engines also American made or are they Chinese ?

    • @jamesorsby7553
      @jamesorsby7553 13 дней назад +1

      @@mwm2008That's not true, because the engines on Ariens snowblowers are Chinese engines. The Ariens LCT AX engines are Chinese through and through. They're Tecumseh engine knockoffs.

    I’ll stick with my 17 year old Sears Craftsman 9.5hp/28” width snowblower with its Briggs & Stratton engine. Made before they started putting cheap Chinese crap Oates on them. I keep it well maintained.…it’s loud but works great. This year the engine mount cracked…nothin a little welding couldn’t fix.

    This list should have been flipped as I've worked in a small gas engine shop and the Hondas are the most bullet proff. Craftsman is owned by Stanley black and decker now. This is the company that had a zero turn battery mower catch fire. Not the best quality.

    • @SaKOTR
      @SaKOTR 10 месяцев назад

      Comes down to the user performing proper maintenance. Craftsman uses honda and briggs & stratton motors depending on models.

      He said it was in no particular order. I quit watching after the Honda since that's all I'll ever own. They can't be beat and I've never seen any other brand throw snow like any of the three I've had. I was just hoping he'd say how much it costs new.

    I'll take an Ariens or my 35 year old Toro blower over any of those newer machines. Too much plastic and thin metal in the newer machines. They may have more user friendly features, but they're cheap and more to wear out in the long run.

  • @davidnovakovich5583
    @davidnovakovich5583 Месяц назад +1

    I don’t want to be negative, but this video is inane. Chuty?? Not much useful info. Most anything said about one unit could be said about the others, which is almost all sales pitches and very little comparison info. Craftsman should be towards the middle or bottom of the list, Honda should be at the top. Powersmart is made in china, which isn’t bad in and of itself necessarily. It does throw snow far, but the controls are all backwards. etc.
