I love watching you work. You have helped me create stock footage time lapses that generate enough money to fully fund this hobby. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. No artist or creator has inspired me more.
Phenomenal capture of the night sky timelapses. You are really a master of light painting and explain it so well. Thank you for sharing the mesmerising moments of being under the night sky
Your a Timelapse Machine Mr Tatti !! And your lighting is a Art Form its self, cant believe this is the first time we have seen these great subjects on the farm beautiful images and fantastic video
Fantastic set of timelapses and images, Richard. Always love coming along for the ride. I assume you have to log all your dozens of light panels out and then log them back in again?! 🤣 Thanks as ever.
Another outstanding video. The details on how you set up the shots and the lighting are very detailed and helpful. The final images and Timelapse’s are outstanding.
Phenomenal capture’s my friend! Just breathtaking. I look forward to your videos and images. Maybe some day I’ll get a chance to do a night or 2 with you capturing the night sky. I know I would learn so much, and have the greatest time! I’d even bring a large supply of biscuits and tea. Thank you for sharing Richard. 🙏🏻📷☕️🍪
Absolutely brilliant images Richard. Beautiful lighting. Thank you for sharing your techniques to get those amazing scenes. All your work is inspirational.
Hi Richard, once again a great video. I enjoyed the daytrip through the farm, it was interesting to see what is was like. The timelapses were terrific. You certainly set a hard target for the evening but it all worked out well. It would be interesting to have an update on the Polaris, if it now works ok or if there are still bugs.
Thanks as always for your comments David. The Polaris was working fine on this evening .. but I haven't had it out since. I will be doing more testing in the coming months.
Wow, both time lapses are absolutely stunning, particularly the first one I love the brown tones to both the foreground and sky that makes it especially appealing, well done ❤
Awesome time-lapse sequences there Richard, nice meteor @10:09 too! Love your attention to how you shape the light in the foreground, really sets your imagery apart.
Yes I enjoyed seeing that meteor while editing Dominic. I spend a lot of time on the lighting .. .but especially in the second timelapse it enabled me to just use the video straight out of camera.
Another stellar vid Richard, Well beyond my ability and skill level, unfortunately, still haven't been able to get the gear out, recently upgraded all my gear from F to Z and I see you have acquired a Z 14-24 now :) regards , Gary ......... SA
Richard, enjoy the southern Milky Way season and I'm looking forward to your videos. Here on the east coast of the USA we had so few clear nights this last spring & summer. Looking forward to when I get out again next year.
Thanks for sharing this inspirational content Richard. Beautiful shots! It seems the Benro Polaris is doing ok now that you have sorted those few issues out with it.
Hi Richard, great video, the time lapses are fantastic. Richard in the last time lapse editing - straight out of camera what was the white balance and what Picture Control did you use? Richard I received your 2024 calendars yesterday, your live photos are extraordinary, they have a three-dimensional quality that you can't see so well on video. Thank you and a hug 👏👏👏👌👍
I really appreciate your support Mario. The Nikon Z cameras produce a 4k video file of timelapses . .that's what I used for that second one. I guess you'd say it was a collection of edited jpegs straight from the camera. I don't have any picture profiles set as I'm actually shooting in raw.
Great instructive video Richard. I always turn my lights upward to reduce their effect on the scene, but the word feathering made more sense to what I was doing. You list most items you use except the light stands and I'm looking for taller ones, where did you get yours?
Absolutely stunning. You never cease to amaze me how you simply go out and do this. One question, how much time in your day does it take you to stake out, set up and click go take you?
Love the Timelapse Richard and your lighting is outstanding. 700 activations on a single Timelapse made me think how long do your cameras last. How many activations does a camera give
Thanks for watching Chris. I always use electronic shutter on my timelapses so there isn't any shutter movement at all with these. It does still count as a shutter actuation but much less wear on the camera.
Tracker is essential, basically a good tripod and a tracker is ~80% of equipment you going to need for these type of shoots. Camera and a lens is not that important when you can prolong the exposures so much. Wonder how the cheaper trackers fair in comparison. ~800$ seems to be quite the investment for a regular photographer to get these types of shoots.
Yes the cheaper trackers are a much better option for shots like these. I bought the Benro Polaris to do automated tracked panoramas . .which it has done quite well.
I love watching you work. You have helped me create stock footage time lapses that generate enough money to fully fund this hobby. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. No artist or creator has inspired me more.
That's so very kind of you Boyce. I really appreciate your comments.
Ted's shed is the stuff ! Amazing and smooth.
Yes Ted's Shed is undergoing a makeover .. so more to come in there I reckon.
Once again, Richard outstanding work. I do love myself a good time lapse.
Yes they are cool Jeff. Thanks for watching.
Made it simple as possible as usual with beauty. And with a meteor as bonus. Thanks, Richard.
Yes I loved that meteor as well Rodrigo. Thanks for watching.

Thanks again for tuning in Gary. Yes I did get a 14-24 Z .. cost me a kidney .. but it's a great lens.

You list most items you use except the light stands and I'm looking for taller ones, where did you get yours?
Hey Keith. These are cheap ebay ones. I have quite a few different types . .but the one's shown in this video are actually the smaller one's.
Outstanding once again Richard, your lighting on your Timelapse’s are beautiful, as are your light painting images, incredible work once again 😊
Very kind of you as always Alasdair.
Absolutely stunning. You never cease to amaze me how you simply go out and do this. One question, how much time in your day does it take you to stake out, set up and click go take you?
Thanks for watching. I spend a lot of time scouting locations but I know this farm very well so this didn't take long at all.
Loved this! What do you use to create the Timelapse from the individual photos?
Thanks Megan. I use lightroom to compile and edit the original raw files, then render them into a video using LrTimelapse. It plugs into Lightroom.
@@nightscapeimages.richard ok thanks. Will look into it. Really love your work!
The machine at the twelve minute mark looks like it's been created by AI. The time-lapse was my favorite.
Really appreciate you watching Leon.
