1990 UNH outdoor concert: RHCP introducing John Frusciante. They broke into "Crosstown Traffic" and "Tiny Dancer." Absolutely, an experience I treasure. The RHCP w/ and w/out J. Frusciante are awesome but as a long time fan: Frusciante's guitar work could stand on itself and it has beyond his contributions to the RHCP.
John is what happens when you know a thing like harmonics better than most anyone ever in the history of music but he has absolutely no interest in anything else at all not fame nor recognition.
I was in this concert where he performed SOS by Abba. back in 2006 or 07 in Serbia. He was being in very bad state. The concert was delayed by 2 hours. The rumor was that John was not ok. They drove him with a helicopter and then he did this performance the same that night. Probably one of the favourite moments in my life. I was only 11. Long live my brother
You just love him. Whoever you are you love him in any way. Trust me whoever is reading this, this man is a savior. When you're feeling sad he can make you feel better. When you're feeling happy he can make you feel even better. Whoever you are, you love this man.
Wish he could have saved River Phoenix. I'm a huge fan of John Frusciante RHCP and solo career. It's Amazing he survived his addiction he was in really bad shape close to death Wonder how he survived & River died on the sidewalk of the infamous Viper Room So Sad
When Christine McVie passed away I must have listened to this song 25 times as I felt another part of my childhood was gone. It is a beautiful song and John Frusciante gives it the justice it deserves.
I'm happy for you brother. The sauce is a great thing to be off of! Stick with your sobriety! Find inspiration anywhere you can. John is a great person to look to for it! ❤️
Congratulations Gus. It’s really hard dealing with addiction of any kind. I need to deal with 3 of mine. Tobacco, alcohol and another. One at a time is the only way I believe. How did you stop?
Congrats Gus I've been sober for 6 weeks quite cold turkey after 20 plus years of drinking and rhcp with John is my all time favorite band been following them since 1991 stop listening to them when John quite now he's back 🙏😍🤩👍
Yes he did. I was there. Jan 31st 2007. In FT Lauderdale. He sang See Emily Play by Pink Floyd. It's on you tube.

This video makes me feel so sad and happy, at the same time! Happy coz his voice makes me just float. And sad coz maybe we'll never see him singing like this again
i never heard such a perfect sounding guitar before or after john frusciante=) i love his soul inside of his music...i wish there would be more persons like him...
He absolutely nails it when performing with rhcp but I absolutely love his solo albums, that's where he truly shines when you hear him express himself beautifully especially in his earlier track omission.
What an you say from near death with heroin to this the guy is a big insperatiin for me i always think better to come i had same probs or have the same probs but i will never give up the fight when life is so shit it can okly get better look at this man down n out only to come back more awesome than befote.... Never give up tomorrow is another day n a little john will get you throuvh the day ledgend my hero
Notice the great influence of 70s music on his musical formation! - ABBA - Elton John - Bee Gees - Donna Summer And among other influences. He should make an album like Foo Fighters in homage to the music of the 70s! Disco Music is a huge influence on him.
Frusciante tienes una voz tan hermosa tus cover me transportan sos te pido ayuda flea eres mi maldito hombre te amo si no existiera mi hombre seria ❤❤❤frusciante❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂
To be fair, nobody including Kiedis ever claimed he was a great singer. He was just a raw vocalist in a music landscape where they were chasing this funkadelic punk vibe
nonsense John is a pretty good for an open mic evening... Anthony has an iconic voice and presence, you hear every word clearly. that being said, the appeal of melodic sensitive singing is undeniable.
Don't let John to cover your song cuz he'll make it better than the original.
If you love it, set it free. if you wrote it, let john help it grow
He reminds me of Jeff Buckley with a cover

That is exactly what we need these days.

Not much of a Chili peppers fan, but this guy is AWESOME...
John Frusciante is the best musician showing the feelings whit his melodies
That cover of “Songbird” is absolutely sublime. I hope Christine McVie has heard this, and is proud of the justice John did to her song.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ Christine McVie ❤❤❤❤❤❤Goodbye Songbird 🕊
Y hace tan poco nos dejo Christine McVie
I fucking love this guy! I'm off the sauce for 1 year because of the inspiration of this man's music! Thank you to whomever posted this video!

When John's guitar plays him. The best of karaoke comes out
2:07 such a sad tone finishing in Dm
John, you will be shinin for ever, cause I feel that when I hear you, it's all right.
Chorzow, Poland. That was awesome. The californication solo was the greatest i've ever heard in that gig. Check it!

No problem. A lot of people don't even know what 'See Emily Plays' is. Or even listen to one of the most influential people Syd Barrett.

Only he could make this ABBA song even better.

Who was it that accidentally pressed the dislike button? Someone should notify them of their mistake so it can be immediately corrected!

Notice the rest of the band doesn't play with him in the solos he does . They just let him do his own thing and hang back .

@chriscolon3 ABBA - SOS, Fleetwood Mac - Songbird :)
Thanks I was wondering which songs they were....
I always get a heavy Jeff Buckley/Elliott Smith vibe from him
donde esta maybe?
nice
The best cover is songbird and tiny dancer
Love this man so much
Love this!
Ele é único!
Is this Johns, going away song?
Im afraid it is :(
Damn it, so good yet it's his goodbye
Anthony Kiedis disliked this 17 times...
That very awkward moment when the band realizes the guitar player is a better singer than the lead vocalist.
My farts can sing in key better than Anthony Kiedis.
