26 days sober not going back to drinking
Keep going, wish you the best and stay strong!
About the same!!! Praise God!!. Craving less and less. Staying busy, keeping active.
I’m doing soo much better! 6 months sober and in that time I’ve gotten a brand new car, a raise at work and a fiancé that doesn’t drink! Soo many gains!!!🎉
Amazing!
10 days sober now.
7 ..... good for you.. last time I went 6 months.... will see... bored already even with all my hobbies.. but im only like 4 beer drinker at night when I do go .. once in while half fifth of jameson if pissed off. LOL but I sure like waking up with no Hangovers!!! love that!
Good to hear Craig
Well done matey I’m 3days n feel better, keep going.
@@paulshort1174 I intend to my good man, I'm not going back to it, it's not worth it.
I’m 60 days and not going back. You feel better, look better and save so much money. I used to drink red wine or Guinness/ales every single night after work or all evening if I wasn’t working, got to the point where I could feel it killing me inside. Peace, love and light. God bless.
Good topic,I have found
humor and my laugh again since I've stopped drinking. It's such a nice feeling too. On another note, I was at a party last night and gave away my bottle of Jamison I've had since over a year ago to the host as he's a big whiskey guy. It felt good to get rid of it and say "I'll never drink this again!" 😁 what a great life it is being sober and awake, thx kev!
Good for you man!
my ex told me she thought I’d be weird as a sober, go figure ! 🤣
Day one...onwards and upwards
Great to hear, David!
You can do it luv!! 🙏💜
👍🏻
Truth be told, I was way fucking more boring as a drinker ! Same old shit just a different day! Now I feel some real joy! And "feel" is a real thing not totally motivated or demotivated by a shitty poison that I used to play myself with. Real joy now not perfect life, never will be but it's sholl fackin better than before! Thank you for all you do Coach Kev!!! You're the man!
4 weeks and 2 days sober and nicotine free feel àmazing but having to learn social confidence again x
First day
Good for you, Frank :)
👍🏻
I can understand why you leave before the family gets drunk/silly.... i am now uncomfortable being around certain folk whose goal is to get shit faced ultimately. They are apparently uncomfortable around me also...
Without alcohol, i literally have no problems. Not what i consider problems, anyway. With it, i stay broke, im mean, depressed and make bad decisions. Its a no brainer. Im as done as done gets. Only 4 days sober and im already gaining so much clarity. Mentally, physically and financially. I cant wait to see me in a year. Your videos help me so so much. I know a switch has flipped in my mind. Im never going back. Thank you. 💗
Dead right Kevin! More than 2000 years ago Buddha said it too.......Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional! Great video. I love your walks, what a wonderful place to live! Lucky boy!
Thanks Felicity. Back to the beach next week.
Good Video, as always Kevin. I can't thank you enough for helping me begin my sober journey over 7 years ago. Onwards and Upwards. 😃
Keep it up
@@HabitsV2 Thanks Man! I still hear the "Alcohol Mastery" intro chime in my head when your videos start 😆😄
I can never get past 2 weeks. The discomfort, boredom, and emptiness overwhelms me to the point where I feel better off going back. I'm at 3 and a half weeks now. The longest I've gone without since I started. It seems like it's been months but I'm really trying to see the other side
Stay strong!
@@marycountry Thank you! 🙏🏽😊😊
So true all that you say. In the beginning you feel like all the fun and joy has been drained out of your life. The reverse is actually true. There is joy to be found in the simplest things. One of my favourites, is the joy I feel as I walk straight past the grog shop without feeling compelled to part with my money. Love it! 😀
I love waking up on Saturday morning or Sunrise or Sunday mornings, wake up at 0600 7 days a week and feel perfectly fine . It’s strange not having a hangover, no more wasted days .
Then go for a run or workout and be home by the time my wife drags herself out of bed with a hangover.
Good one ☝️, im saving a fair bit of money not drinking alcohol but now im spending most of it on fruity teas, bloody expensive
They can be pricey. I pay about 25 euros per kilo from an online store for apple and other fruity teas.... Then again, I used to pay that for a few pints in my local pub. The tea lasts about a month per kilo :)
On fire with this video Kev! Your enthusiasm and fun shines through. Thank you 🙏🏴
I’m little more then a year. I still go back to same circles I’m close to 50. Just had the 1st old friend give me the “ your not enjoying the ride in life speech” I couldn’t take the time to say I enjoy every day. Like you said I just remember that comment for weeks now. Thanks for doing your videos !
This is great MAN, great PERSON!🙂
I am the happiest in my life now. I have never laughed so hard, so often, now that I don't drink. Never been healthier in body and mind. Peace and Love to everyone.
You look a lot healthier than you did 10 years ago Kevin
🥸a new sober school haz 13 steps now🥸im no glum fool, 🥸juzta recovering victim of AA🥸
Thankyou, one month for me onwards and upwards
👍🏻
Very inspiring m8
Kevin, where did you get that nice cap / hat from. I recognize the flag as being a local dutch flag.
I've not drank since January apart from a few sips of beer and 0.5%alcohol.
I'm wondering, cos I am meeting this challenge, of how do you socialise now? Cos so much of uk life seems to revolve around alcohol.
Do you spend a lot more time alone and how do you find this?
Thank you 😊
Poison.
One thing i've learned in my my previous attempts at getting sober is i'm not telling anyone i'm doing this for the first 6 months. You get bombarded with cmon man you have just one or get beer memes constantly sent to my Facebook page.Co-workers constantly making comments like, hey wanna stop off afterwork for a beer? Oh forget it thats right you dont drink anymore. Its like people get obsessed with getting you to drink again. Quiet i'll be until i'm more mentally strong and clear minded before i let anyone know i'm on the journey of Onwards and Upwards!
Great lesson. It's nobody else's business. Your life, your journey. Leave others to their own problems.
