  • How can first time investors build a winning mutual fund portfolio? | MF Ki Baat with Nilesh Shah
Some equity funds follow a buy-and-hold investment strategy whereas some of them churn their portfolios regularly to generate higher returns. Both of these approaches have their advantages and disadvantages.Sector Funds are not suitable for first time mutual fund investors. Debt funds are like an anchor of a ship sailing in the sea. It protects your portfolio when the stock markets are volatile. If you continue your SIP in equity funds irrespective of market movements you will eventually collect a solid corpus which is more than your home loan and repay it.

Namrata mam this was a wonderful interview with the most knowledgeable person in the MF Industry Mr. Nilesh Shah who fortunately is also my idol, and I admire him a lot. Mr. Shah is such an experienced, and good teacher, that he has very smoothly and carefully avoided the question of, " how he manages his own portfolio '', even after you asked him twice. GREAT INTERVIEW one will not get tired hearing the same.

Namrata's background is always noisy. I believe Groww should focus on video audio quality for their viewers. Even smaller youtubers know the value of audio quality. Slightly disappointed with the never-evolving-quality of Groww videos. I am on the brink of unsubscribing this channel.

The core of portfolio build up should be index funds, which was conveniently ignored by the advisor, coz that earns the least income for them. Not surprised.
