  • How can beginners start their mutual fund investment? | MF Ki Baat with Amitabh Mohanty
The Indian economy is one of the fastest growing in the world. Structural reforms at the basic level are contributing to the fast growth of the economy. Small Cap Funds and Mid Cap Funds will play a big role in wealth creation for investors over time. Also newer investment themes and sectors will first come into play in the mid cap and small caps segment space before they move towards the large cap space. Both the BSE Sensex and the Nifty 50 are wealth generators over the medium and the long term. You can look at US-based International Funds if you want exposure to FAANG Stocks. Step up SIP is a good approach because it compels you to increase your allocation towards equity funds as your salary rises and you can build a huge portfolio over time.

Good session. Trigger SIP is not yet is clear to investors, how it will work ( at least to me). I talked with a Fund House Representative and the person mentioned the amount will be shifted from your existing fund to another fund based on the trigger set by you. Thus in most cases, STCC will be applicable. No bank mandate will be there so that money from your bank is automatically debited ( Like SIP) and invested. Looking forward for more info and clarity on this

Why are you even going to sector funds without any knowledge. It's your mistake not his. Never invest in sectoral funds. Always go with diversified funds that have been tried and tested for atleast 10+ years
