- Oh it’s a sad day. We have come to the end of the videos from our summer 23 trip to Florida. This is when the holiday blues will kick in for me now.
For a last day we had a pretty fun filled day at Busch Gardens and an unexpected opportunity to fit in another American new (to us) restaurant.
I don’t know anyone reads here but I didn’t mention in the vlog what we thought of the seats on the plane. Loved them. I slept literally the whole flight and no one felt travel sick 🙌🙌

My wife and I thank you so much for this series of vlogs. We have loved every single one of them. I’ve messaged you before, dinner will not be the same on a Tuesday and Friday night without your uploads lol. We are now 86 days away before we go. At the end of your vlog you question if you will vlog moving forward, please don’t stop. My wife and I have been to the states nearly 40 times now, we are getting on now lol, but whether it be Orlando or California the magic never leaves you. You all have that magic and it shows in every single one of your vlogs. Without sounding like some mad stalker, we would love to bump into you lol. A certain type of person loves Florida and all that it brings, hence why so many people vlog and watch Orlando vlogs, yours are brilliant, don’t stop sharing xx

Best blogs out there for florida. We have been coming to florida as a couple from 1998 and up to now with the kids(around the same age as yours) and your blogs are the most relateable. So natural, i feel if i had done blogs id like to think this is how they would turn out. We also did california but feel florida is our 2nd home, i cant imagine not going back with my family so when you say your unsure about the future im quite suprised as there is no where else like it. Hope we bump into you next year!

Oh we’re definitely going back. It’s by far all of our favourite place but the kids just aren’t keen on being in the videos anymore and as the reason for me starting to do this was to capture our family holidays on film just moving forward I’m sure what we will do vlogging wise. We will see. Hopefully we’re be back soon. Xx

Gemma, just finished watching this series. I’ve watched your vlogs for a few years now and absolutely love them. You are such a lovely family. I love the fact you put the price on, really handy for people planning. I don’t have kids but go to Orlando and the parks as much as I can, you could call me an addict 😂. I really enjoy vlogs. I watched your series this time last year before I went to Florida and you were so helpful for planning/restaurant ideas. This time the start of your series coincided with our japan & tokyo Disney trip.

Great videos and thanks for sharing your family vacation. That sounded like goodbye & no future videos. If you decide to continue - definitely include costs, important to have a budget. We went to Orlando on many occasions, boys loved it - then just outgrow it - sleeping became more important! They became bored of Disney - too busy. Now they are 28/24 they’re planning to return with their families!!! After many years, I went back to Disney in September 2023 - some great new rides - would I pay £500 again? No - I’m returning to Orlando again in April 2024 - I will be using my UOAP & Discovery Cove Plus tickets. Also spending a few days on the beach on both Atlantic & Gulf coasts. I hope you continue to video - great tips. Have a very Merry Christmas and great family time in 2024.
Sounds like a great trip planned for April. Ah that’s so nice they’re all grown up and want to now take their families. Shows how much they did love their childhood trips. It’s definitely not a goodbye from us. Just can’t say moving forward if vlogs will be the same.

You had a wonderful last day there. I loved seeing the elephants and other animals. It seemed very slow and content, not rushed. Your plane seats looked comfortable too. My adult son and I traveled to Israel and back to the US on American Airlines in standard seats. it was so tight and uncomfortable. there was very little room per person in the seats. Thankfully, I had an aisle seat. Our seats were about 1900. dollars each, round trip, but they were the cheap seats.
Our seats were like that going out to Tampa last year. The seats seemed smaller than usual. The seats this year on the way back we’re brilliant. Would definitely book again.
I loved the elephants too. 🥰
Great series as always, we go every year but still love to watch your videos to get a fix in between trips. The coatings I think is great and really helpful to those on a first trip. Hope you guys do more, by far the best ones to watch👍👍 thank you

I think when you haven’t picked a camera up for a while it takes a little getting use to and I always say to Ian pick your phone up or the camera and record yourself too because no one wants to look at my face all the time 🤣. We do enjoy it and I’m sure you will see us again soon. May just be a little different.
Planning type of video - I did one for our aug 22 trip but I don’t think it would be very exciting to listen to me ramble on. My planning can be a bit hectic 🤣 xx

You’re just watching us on holiday - highs and lows (if there are any). I think it’s all well and good watching people have ‘the best day ever’ but imagine how disappointed you’d be on your trip if you didn’t feel it lived up to what you watch on RUclips.

Loved the vlogs, and very sad to get to end of them! So much of our plans for our first trip next July, after a 40yr wait to get there, is based on what I've learned from you guys! And I am going to have a go at vlogging too for the same reason as you started... I have photos from a 2015 cross America trip and I don't look at them, because they don't capture the experience the way video does. Thank you for putting yourselves out there!
Oh wow. 40 years. Yep you definitely need this trip and I hope you have the best time and yeah- why not have a go at vlogging. My advise is won’t waste money on cameras etc. Just use your phone but be aware of your storage.

Have been watching your vlogs over the last few weeks as we are going next august and are doing most of the things you have done this year including having just bought discovery cove during the black friday sale . There are 7 of us ranging from myself at 57 though to emmie who will be 7 when we travel thank you for all your vlogs they are very helpfull . Sad to hear you may not be vlogging again . Well, we’ve had a couple of messages before where I’ve mentioned that we are starting to vlog, and I know you mentioned how hard it is with teenagers (which I am sure we will find out). Your vlogs have always been great, and it’s always been informative. Completely understand it must be hard remembering to Vlog everything, and you need to make sure you enjoy the holiday too. You are the most natural vloggers IMO. You have to keep filming and uploading. Just keep the kids off. Nobody else is as 'real' or interesting as you guys. You have a real flair, Gemma. Abi seems fine with the spotlight? Keep Jake off? Do not stop now. It's like watching a friend have a friendly chat in the best place in the world... you are too good at this.

I think just what you see is real. I don’t pick up the camera and put on a voice or make sure everyone is smiling and acting for the camera because well that would ruin the holiday. Abbie has her moments and Jake seems to forget about the camera later on in the trip. I’m sure we will be back soon. Just might film them a little differently. Xx

We have (pre-pandemic) always flown into Tampa too. I just wondered how you manage paying tolls? Any info you can share on how you do it from Tampa would be much appreciated. We've previously just had toll costs included with car hire, but it's an expensive way to do it with the daily charge etc. We're looking at the SunPass mini for our next trip, but even finding a CVS to buy one - before hitting a toll - seems a faff.

Ah I hope you managed to get some tips from the videos 😃
There are no tolls from Tampa Airport to Orlando (at least to the villa in Davenport or I drive). Just take the I4. The only tolls we’ve either encountered have been mentioned in the vlogs over the years so when we have come across them or chose a route which have tolls we have cash in the car (usually around $1 - $1.75). We did one time come across a toll which you couldn’t stop and pay for. That was on the way to and from Nona Adventure Park. Avis just charged our card. I want to say it was one fee of £14.00. You can set your sat nav /google maps to avoid tolls so no need for a toll pass xx

We're happy to carry cash, I just read a lot (online) about how tolls are becoming cashless and everyone buying the SunPass minis. Finally got to ride iron Gwazi, my favorite ride ever, my son did it 10 times. Im the same as you cant go back to back but will take a break and do it again. Been going to Florida since 2000 and November is definitely my favorite time to go. weather is perfect and anything you want to go do isn’t as busy, every ride we went on at busch was a walk on. where you guys going.. look forward to the upcoming vacation

Always find it’s really hot in Busch ,and nowhere really to cool off ,not many shops to get some A/C like Disney ,have you been to Clearwater ,,lovely place ,beach ect
That’s very true. I find that with the parks outside of universal/ Disney. The shops just aren’t great so you don’t really want to spend much time in them plus prefer open so still hot. It was such a hot day 🥵

@@stephenparslow7964 oh that’s good you don’t plan to drive to Orlando the day you arrive. Wouldn’t fancy that drive after the flight. We’ve yet to do Six Flags because we’ve never had a car in California. We’ve just based ourselves in Anaheim and stayed there but Six Flags and Universal Hollywood are in our sights for a future trip. As well as the Hollywood sign etc etc. 😃

I've loved watching your holidays vlogs and I do like it when you tell us the cost of things. We got back from Florida at the end of October. For someone who's scared to drive there, is Tampa OK for driving from the airport? After some hair raising and expensive Uber rides whilst there, I want to rent a car next time 😁
Ah thank you. Well as someone who’s only been a backseat driver 😝 I would say it’s a pretty easy drive. Apart from the first 10 mins or so it’s all one road xx
