The monthly subscription for FSD should $99.99 and full payment for $6000. This would be fair in my opinion. Thanks for your video.

Hey Robert, I am from NYC and grew up in LI where my home had a basement. Homes in the SF Bay Area, where I live now, do not have a basement. I have to say that I am very impressed by the size of the basement in your new home. It's enormous!! Congratulations!
Depending on your budget, you have many options to build a multifunctional studio. I will send you a follow-up email containing with a few ideas for your basement studio.

Yesterday was my first day using FSD, and boy, is my mind blown! That said, I only drive my M3 RWD may 20 miles a day M-F and maybe a couple hundred on the weekends. The current price does not make sense for me personally. Maybe $50 per month, or perhaps rent it by week. Not too long ago, I took a road trip and would have spent $50 for the week.

Clearly 12K for FSD is too much for most of us. I would like to see an on demand fee for when you actually use it , billed to a CC on file. That would make it affordable and practical and I imagine almost every Tesla driver would use it several times a year if not monthly. As it stands , no damn way !

FSD needs to transferable to another Tesla. Without transferability, FSD would have to be priced about $5,000.00.

At $3K I would buy FSD. But then I only drive about 1500 miles per year! So for me, a per mile charge might be attractive. Maybe they could offer a couple options like at the car wash. Those who drive a lot of miles could opt for a flat fee and those of us who drive very little could do a per mile charge.

.$30 per mile is like $300/month for someone who drives an average 1k per month which is pretty standard considering 36k mile leases thats over $10k if you full self drive every mile of your lease.

I would consider FSD at $100/month. So far the in my 2023 model 3 the autopilot is not reliable. Too many false breaking when road is clear and it is jerky when traffic has stopped. It should recognize stopped traffic and slow down before slamming on the brakes. Very interested in upgrading to a model Y performance 😊

  • @darkwolfx333

13:53 $2000 at the most. And even then I am being generous. As someone knew in the Tesla ecosystem, and having tried fsd from this update on my newly purchased 22 m3p. It’s neat but no where near worth 12k or 6k if you have eap installed (like my car does).
That said $2000 at most and $1000 for those with eap.
As for the subscription. $30 a month without eap, $10 with.

3k for fsd should be the maximum price in my opinion. An even 3 k is a lot to ask for it. I paid 3 k for basic autopilot and it should have been $400-500 max instead of 3k for such a basic feature

    • @mrperson1324
      @mrperson1324 2 месяца назад

3k for a fully self driving car upgrade is extremely low. Tesla had a good idea of the value placing it around 10k, and the option to rent it for $200 lets people decide if it is worth the extra money.

the main thing with fsd is they need to let you transfer it your new tesla and 50 bucks a month is the most i would ever pay untill i can go to sleep or watch videos fsd is not worth it u still have to focus on driving plus fsd always goes some wierd way because i guess it hates backroads so it always brings me the long way and is far from perfect its great when in lane but really suffers when turning if your on backroads and not highways

You not speak about what Tesla is doing globally and just specify you are speaking about North America where you might have some correct info. Especially the time line. Tesla does not make feature changes at the same time in Berlin, and Shanghai at the same time as Fremont and Austin.
Our 2023 Tesla Model Y performance that we got last summer has radar and ultrasonic sensors (the good stuff) and we never lost auto park with extended autopilot in Thailand.

So don’t waste your money for software that does not work but they will let you self driving buy but wont give you money back after they rip you off. Just like they want you to buy the performance upgrade for $2000 or just buy a used Model Y from tesla and get that upgrade for free. I remember when if you bought software you could use it later on in another computer. Those days are gone.

Suggest $15 per month for the ability rent FSD $45/week. The folks that can afford $200/month will pay the monthly subscription, which would be less than if you paid $15 per month plus $45/week, which works out to $210/mo. I suspect Tesla will make more money with this structure and allow folks to try FSD by the week. Once a Tesla gets used to FSD, I suspect they will convert to the $200/mo subscription. Plus, folks that cannot afford $200/mo can get FSD on a level they can afford.

My 2022 Tesla Model Y Long Range with every option you can buy
is now sold new by Tesla for $25,000 for the same identical car
Elon has flooded the market with hundreds of thousands more EVs than the market wants
which means Elon has hurt EVERY Tesla owner
they owe more to the bank than the car is worth on the resale market
    thanks to the boy wonder
Germany and France have stopped subsidies on EVs and the market has imploded.
All the "Early Adopters" who wanted an EV have one
and 80% say that their next car will not be electric but gasoline-powered or a hybrid
EVs are horrible on long trips - range anxiety kills the fun of driving
The EV market is imploding in front of our eyes
and free FSD is not going to help Elon a bit

I pay $120 a year as a "fuel tax" since I don't buy gasoline - used to repair the roads (right)
but as to EV tax subsidies unborn tax payers will have to repay
in Missouri, they have some crazy "Clean Vehicle Credit" that nobody knows what it does.
Beginning January 1, 2023, if you purchase a qualified used EV from a licensed dealer for $25,000 or less, you may be eligible for a used clean vehicle tax credit. This credit equals 30% of the sale price, up to a maximum credit of $4,000
I have no idea what that is - I didn't get it in May of 2022 when I picked up the Y.
