oh masha... that rice cake is one of the first tricks that Korean kids fall for. most of us learn to not correlate color and taste on rice cakes after that very sad sad moment when we were little. it's kinda funny to see an adult go through it. thank you for the smiles! also, just a tip on the seaweed, use a larger bowl with more water. you will see that a little goes a long long way. the seaweed blooms into many times its size! korean seaweed soup is excellent for physical recovery (women have it after giving birth and people traditionally have it on their birthday, but it's bad luck to have it the night before a test or an important day because since the soup is slippery, all the right answers will 'slip' from your test sheet).

I love those spark mics. I've watched a lot of your vids and I love the quality they have. Wanted to get into doing ASMR but one ...seems like a lot of money for equipment, two ...I work 12 hr days, and three ...I think you either got the ASMR voice for it or you don't. Did some practice vids but I don't think I have what you, ally, heather, and Justin do. Sooo THANKYOU for taking the time to do BOTH these channels. Both are great.

Hijiki is Japanese. There are Korean seaweeds, but the one you ate isn't a Korean product.
Also, rainbow rice cake is not candy LOL, it is literally just rice cake, and there are many different types of it in Korea. They are called "tteok" in general. So Mujigae (rainbow) tteok (rice cake) is the name in Korean. The one you ate is usually eaten in banquets or on special occasions.

Thanks for the amazing review! I really like this channel since I can get a peek into someone else's life:) btw, you should try some other types of rice cakes. I recommend the ones made with glutinous rice(chapssal in korean cuisine or mochi in japanese cuisine) it's great for desserts actually.

Hey Masha girl! I don't comment a lot on people's videos, but I really love your vlogs to see the real you because you're so adorable (love your ASMR vids, too)! Personally, I throw dried seaweed everyday into a breakfast smoothie (about 30g or 1/8 cup) to get my iodine intake to help keep my thyroid healthy and you can't taste it at all that way (if you don't like the taste). I used to live in Japan for a long time (know what it's like to be a foreigner, too!) and ate so much of it with various foods. I really hate fish, but love seaweed items (nerd alert here!) Btw, it's pronounced like "He-jee-key" (he like "he goes to the store") and then there is wakame (Wah-kah-may) which is really good with miso soup and tofu. My mother in law (who is Japanese) makes a killer miso soup with these homemade noodles and wakame. Speaking about other countries, the next time you go to Russia can you vlog about it? Not many of us get over there and we'd love to see a hometown perspective. I think it would educate all of us more about people's daily lives there. Thanks my Slavic sistah! (My grandparents were from Prussia on the present day Polish side near Warszawa)
how was the quality with the cable that came with the microphone?
I'm Korean so I've tried those! The rainbow rice cake is something I've tried all the time when I was younger!! It's always so soft and chewy ^.^ Also, the tastes can seem very subtle because I've noticed that in America they make things a lot more salty and sweet than Korea does. If you want to try the best of Korea, try some Korean chips, biscuits, ice cream, or authentic ramyun!

So... Does it come with the XLR cable or not? Cause' I've seen some other unboxing videos and some of the people had the XLR cable packed, along with other things in the box, while in a different videos the guys didn't have the cable...

That rice cake is one of my favorite! I want to recommend different rice cakes too. There are many different types of rice cake that taste really good. Maybe you might feel no taste but the taste of rice and chewy or fluffy taste is some actual rice cake taste. Also hijiki is Japanese food ingredient for side dishes and it's really good for women's health because it has many minerals and iron as you know :)
