She was so nervous before testifying that she had a complete meltdown when not being able to find her bobby pins. Court TV and other large channels thought she had worn a messy bun to cover her beauty! She was desperately trying to say everything correctly, while fighting an anxiety attack. She then focused on the team, and jury. She knew what Johnny had been living through while married, and just as bad, after the divorce. She is encyclopedicly intelligent and breathtakingly beautiful. I love the part about the dang muffins and dinner and drinks. Really? That's all they had?

    It gives me a sense of reassurance people such as Dr Currie exist in this world. She firmly sits in the chair, doesn't fidget, explicit in her responses and explanations. High level language simply explained though the captions of this vid had trouble keeping up. Dr Currie thank you for being you.
    It's people like her Julian Assange will need if extradited to the USA to face prosecution for being a truth teller.

      One of the best parts of Dr. Curry is how she knows the power of a straight up 'No.' No equivocation of qualification, just a 100% denial of something. Same thing goes for a straight up 'Yes.'

  • @leileyaravencroft
    @leileyaravencroft Год назад +16

    At the age of 26, I was diagnosed with PTSD. That was when I was diagnosed. Most people who have known me growing up have suspected I have been struggling with mental illness for quite some time. I was also abused by my mother and her first husband and suffered from various forms of SA and DV through out my life.
    I have known other people who suffered from PTSD, paranoia, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder (to be fair with the BD we aren’t 100% sure because there is no way my mother would ever be diagnosed), etc.
    Amber Heard reminds me most of my mother. And most definitely not in a good way. My mother’s philosophy in life is, as she has said so many times, “I’m right and you’re wrong. Even if you’re right about something, you’re still wrong and I’m still right”. There isn’t a single relationship my mother has formed that isn’t a benefit to her (in her own words) even down to having me. She would fight tooth and nail with her spouses (and I do mean that), she has lied about abuse by her second husband (tried to file a police report but was turned away for lying), tried to bring false charges against the same man (her first husband was a horrible man not the second), she abandoned me on a regular basis, she repeatedly chose her significant others over her children, she had an explosive temper, she would hit up family members for money using manipulation (admitted to me), so much other stuff.
    Amber Heard is not a victim nor will she ever be a victim. She is a user and an abuser. And to think she is a face of DV is very sickening.

    as someone who's been in therapy for most of her life, and gone through quite a fair few psychiatrists, dr. curry has that exact temperament that you want in a shrink: professional, confident, composed. it makes it easier to not only listen to but understand what's being said, since her tone very rarely moves out of its even pace. it's so easy for psychiatrists to slip into a tone that sounds imperious (dr. spiegel), or sway/catechize (dr. hughes) you--it gives the impression they don't want you to ask questions, they just want you to listen to them. it's intimidating as a patient, and ultimately damaging since it takes away trust and makes you even MORE nervous to confide in them.
    ETA: dr. shaw is just like dr. curry as well. two perfect expert witnesses into the difficult subject of psychology and psychiatric practices. they made amber's team's 'experts' look like the unethical quacks they were.

Either they let Dr. Curry Talk and just turn their experts further into unethical laughing stock hired guns, or they give up and let JD's team spend the end of the trial getting to have unanswered rebuttals to finish burying them that way.

      I've been questioning how is it that her team is so outclassed by Johnnie's. nd I think her team is doing the best they can, but I don't think they are her her first choice. I think all her experts were not a first choice. Because real experts would walk away from her side of this. And likely after meeting her... would get a gut feeling there is something wrong... and the only 'experts' that would continue with her... are the ones we are seeing.
