So... Even though you can't own it outright, would you still buy it?
Do one in sapporo show us what other regions has to offer
200% I would. I honestly thought it would be closer to the 12-15m USD range, so that difference covers those monthly charges for a while!
yeah. HOA or apartment fees anyways would normally have to be paid. Still high but worth it
Not for me. I'd want a large, family house not a condo. This looks like a rich boy's bachelor pad! I'm sure it will impress the Minato-ku joshi, even if it isn't in Minato-ku!
Definitely depends on the person, but for me, if I can't own it, I wouldn't buy it. Maybe if I had cash to burn, but I would like to believe any person who is not wealthy and have some common sense of financial responsibility would not buy it. To each their own.
The view looks like a screen saver from basically every shot, it's so pretty.
The interior taste varies from person to person, but the quality of the video is getting better video after video! Moving up the world Alex! When will you show us the 200 million dollars penthouse on top of Azabudai Hills?
That would be nice
There are levels, Tokyo Portfolio is not quite there yet.
@@TokyoPortfolio To already answer the question, if you ever make THAT video: Yes, I'd likely buy it, if I could. 😜
dude, I could watch this shit all day.
8.5m and you still need to pay rent... I've seen this a few times in these videos, but it really baffles me at this price.
But if you have $8.5 million $3500 probably seems like nothing to you. By my calculations it would take 202 years to pay $8.5 million of $3500 rent a month.
All condos have a monthly HOA fee. Or if you live in an HOA community. So how is this any different? There really isn't a difference. A monthy maintenance fee which an HOA is just that is still an extra fee on top of rent/mortgage and property taxes. So $3500 mo. is small change if you can afford to own a $8.5 million property.
@@BagoPorkRinds very true
If you can afford 1.3bn Yen, then the rent is pocket change. I would consider the rent as just very high strata fees. Technically, you don't own any land when "owning" a condo suite anyway.
@@BagoPorkRinds maintenance fees on top of that leashold payment and you're probably looking at $5000 a month or more
The way they designed the stove in that alcove surrounded by stainless steel is perfection
That... Was... Spectacular.
Absolutely obsessed with this apartment, just wow.
As a penthouse in Shibuya, this one lives up to all expectations.....and, the view is AMAZING! Don't know the pool of buyers in this price range, but bet it will sell quickly. It is a GREAT property! 👍👏❤😍
That one white pixel in the end, really got me, I thought my screen was broken.
Oh that dead Pixel is even in the Intro
i love these videos, thanks man!
Awesome stuff amigo. Thanks for another great video !
When I reached the end of the video, I too, just couldn't! That view is amazing, like an framed portrait on your roof. This was really nice.
What a place! Incredible spot
those views are stunning
This is incredible. So luxurious. The pool on the roof is amazing.
Amazing place!!
Yes please! 😊🌸
I dont think I would care about 3,5k a month after I spent 8.5 million on an apartment :D
Believe me, people who earned it (not dream of it or won it), will certainly care.
@@marioh5172Agreed. With that price tag, and that recurring expense, people that are that good with money would have a difficult time considering it an investment asset.
@@marioh5172I'd actually think it would be the other way around. I get the point you're trying to get across is that someone who earned an amount that high would have more respect for money. but while that might be true I think that since they have made such a significant amount of money, they would probably have a stable and high income to finance monthly expenses much higher than this. Someone who just won or inherited a bunch of money on the other had does not necessarily have an equally high income and is more likely to get into trouble for blowing all of their money on an appartment they can't afford to pay the monthly fee on.
You definitely will care 😂
Doing some vague estimates, judging by the rough "double the usual cost"
you'd match the usual price of give or take 16-17 million in 6-7 years.
Saving on the initial cost that you pay in over half a decade in rent.
Something about that interior I do not like. The all white color has a very cold rather than cozy feel which is weird considering other places with an all white interior don't feel like that.
Mesmerizing...
Wild, absolutely baller
welcome back you buzy man.
For this time, this is look like perfect, this is beautiful.
Nice shirt👌 Pugs on point👏🏻👏🏻
Amazing.
i would knock down the wall between the 2nd and 3rd bedroom, try as i might i could not imagine any practical use for that small room. it look extremely narrow. But amazing apartment and thanks so much for the amazing tour. Beautiful.
Amazing, one of the best apartments shown in this channel. If I was rich and knew japanese, I would def live in there.
well, the good news is that you don't need to know a lick of Japanese to get by in Japan......the bad news is you still need to find $8.5m
Dream apartment really. You just gave me a new goal 🔥
A masterpiece condo with a view to match...wow. If I had a way to make that work, believe me, I definitely would. Incredible!
What a luxurious condo in one of the most famous neighborhood in tokyo.
It’s amazing to just see that night view of Shibuya I’ve never seen
The lights off shot was well done.
Great to see you’re back! If I had the money I would happily spend 8.5 million for this!!
I wish I had 8.5 Million dollars, you couldn't get that nice of a place NYC.
Was in Yoyogi two weeks ago, and I agree, it is an awesome park.
That private pool is too clean!!!
That retro Bianchi at 00:35!!
YOOOO new videos lets gOOOOOOOOOO
Once again, Alex shows us plebs how real people live. Thanks for such an informative, well shot video! This was fun to watch.
must say i love the pink socks you have
That night view of Shibuya has an air of Cat's eyes or City Hunter old vibes... Nice.
New video! UwU
This was awesome but I still prefer that one from Harajuku. That was so nice and cozy.
That dead pixel had me sweating for a while 😂 Amazing apartment though!
5 seconds in and we already have a Supervillain's view. God DANG we're in for a nice space.
6:48 we got 3 of those above kitchen counter. Really good, but you must be mindful to not open them fast, otherwise you might break mechanism :)
The view from living room is great!
And the pool!
There seem to be 6 pools on roof (4 corner pools, 2 side pools), this one facing South. Not sure what is at West and East side.
Beautiful! Then you got to the rooftop pool and all I could think of was earthquakes lol
Some of the finishes were a bit strange, but if you want a city view this one has it for sure.
This place a dream. My only hope? The lotto
Beautiful view, especially with the lights off. Athough i feel like having a pool so close to the stairs is kinda sketchy. I can just imagine someone taking a swim in the pool and then slipping trying to go downstairs.
Or water getting splashed and dripping down o.o.
This is by far the most worth it property I think. at least top 3
If I had that money I would immediately move into that apartment xD
even tho its way too much money, that view.... i'd buy it in an instant, even with the downside of not fully owning it.
That view is so amazing, like holy, and the apartment is like the perfect size.
those 2 smaller bedrooms. I would make 1 an office, and the other smaller one a guest bedroom.
Kitchen has enough countertop space to prep food.
Living room is large enough, but not overly large where you would have tons of empty space.
Master bedroom would get a vanity desk & king size bed.
Still baffled they ask for rent, after paying 8 million dollars for it.
Let's all dream up for a second 🧖♀️ 🌆✨
That’s a great view of Shibuya. Would be a shame if Sukuna came & screwed it up.. lol
I'll take 2 please.
😂😂😂 caught me off guard when I heard the "oh!no!buono!"
you gonna do a video on living spaces for creatives like artist studios or popular mangaka homes. thanks in advance mr alex shapiro
You can honestly get a similar view in Fukuoka or Osaka for half the price. But it is a great location
of course
wow
Was just about to go to bed
I am much more of a fan of country and mountain views with houses however that's actually a really nice city view. If I had the kind of income to afford this place, I would make it my city home. I'd definitely do some painting with the rooms, all white looks "luxurious" but it would make me feel like I was living in a hotel. But damn, this would be something I'd make as a "city home" for business trips and such if I were so lucky to be rich enough to afford such a place.
At 0:20 I know that BGM, that's Pavolia Reine's outro BGM.
A lot of money, but for a lot of apartment... I am such a big sucker for skyscraper views that this might as well be my dream apartment.
That bedroom was as big as my entire apartment in Stockholm, minus the bathroom and kitchen of course.
It would have been nice if you had shown the downstairs entrance, the lobby, the lift etc. How is security for example and how do you transport your own furniture
I will buy a penthouse similar to this one in 10 years or less, I will make it.
Shibuya?!😳
A couple of things - 1) I’ve noticed that in Japanese apartments the balconies come off the bedrooms more than the main living area; 2) that open roof pool would really give me vertigo!!!
When you've mentioned that there's no fridge included, a question came to my mind - does it come with a ladder ? :P Storage in just kitchen is so high up o_o
If I ever I win a lottery :P The night view is to die for. Filming the video at night is the perfect way to showcase the gorgeous view! The rental for the land is quite hefty but I guess that's the price for living in this tower. (But is there a reason why the land is owned by the government?)
Too Diddy white for me ,but that view is really something.
yeah, prefer much warmer tones.....which is strange because Japanese houses tend to have those cedar wood tones featured quite heavily but this felt a little opposite.....
Holy smokes! What is the current jackpot standing at? 😅 This is an absolute dream property.
Ive been looking at the prices of some houses in Tokyo and I cant beleive how expensive they are for how small they tend to be. They are very pretty but I just feel like I could build a huge house in some other country for that same amount.
show us the azabudai hills apartments
Can you show 200 million dollars penthouse on top of Azabudai Hills? others in the comment section also talked about tkhis
since youd still have to pay a sort of rent, do they fix any issues that come with owning the place?
Super nice
not worth the overall cost.
When you have money to buy something like that I don't think it would matter that much
@@Anon_2_1 I assume you would care for quality though. Kitchen looks cheaply made.
Tiny baths. Really nothing too fancy.
It's mostly for the location.
@@Sakutora just like the US.
@@Mr_Mgun I think it's a pretty universal thing that happens everywhere. It's the same thing in Finland.
7:07 For 8.5 mil it even comes with free plastic wine glasses?! WOW!!!!
For real though, if I had the money .... well, I'd buy a large plot of land somewhere instead. But this is really sick!
If I ever win the lottery, I'll definitely be in contact with you.
My apologies for what is maybe a stupid question, but where is the power socket for the fridge? 6:22
in japan they're up high at about level with the top of the fridge. his camera isn't picking it up but its there
@@gregh7457 Ah, that explains it. Thank you! :)
You’ve got a sort of dead pixel on your camera somewhere are the left side of every shot that moves around….unless my tv is broken.
I just could not believe how cheaply this flat (inside) was made...
Its always like that in Japan. Alex did an interview a few weeks back where he explained all about it. Most of the internal doors, cupboard doors etc. just made with laminated chipboard or something that looks like it came from IKEA. Even in these super expensive places, they usually put together a nice living room/dining room area, but the rest of it is just an afterthought.
@@oxfordtiger Thanks. Sadly that seems to be one of the common trends among "supposedly" high-end mansions (Oku-sions as they are called) in Tokyo. I myself used to own a "fairly" high-end flat in Tokyo in one of those "tower mansion" buildings. On the other hand, many of those high-end flats in London are overly opulent even to an unnecessary extent. Interesting contrast...
The corner units of this floor are better in my opinion
What watch is Alex wearing in this video?
That real estate rent thing of $3,500 is one thing. How much is it to maintain that place every month? I mean it's got a open roof deck with a swimming pool.
Head of a taco association, I feel like I need to try that place just for that.
Go try it out -- it's great
i could do without the pool, but it is nice
How soundproof is it?
I used to live quite close to there, but my 3rd floor apartment didn't have quite that view...
Staggering. I'd love for you to get the commission for moving this property. Bet you would too. ;)
Dang that monthly rent is kind of a dealbreaker.. I would've bought it otherwise!
i've got one of those toilets that open up when you walk in, but i don't have the led's inside it like that one. i feel so poor now
in NYC that would be like 20mln at least
Alright, if I ever become a billionaire, this is the building i'm getting an apartment in. The view alone is worth it.
The person that has $8.5m to spend on that apartment won't even have to think about $3500/m property fees. literal drop in the bucket.
your camera has a burned out pixel i think, it is actually a bit distracting. in the middle on the left side once you see it you can't stop seeing it
8.5 million price, but they haven't even filled the holes in the closet.... which is standard even with IKEA closets.
