I was lead Architect on this project supported by 3 amazingly talented Swiss structural engineers. The technical challenges involved were some of the most difficult I’ve had in my career. The thoughtfulness of the design in this space sets it apart for me: the overall unit layout, the finishes in the rooms and on the staircase, the way the "windows" in the beams open, and also the little surprise moments like the mini reading nook and the secret room. The layout of the master bedroom is amazing! The way it splits the sleeping area and the bath area is very luxurious. All the floating vanities and pocket doors keep it feeling airy and spacious. I pay 2000 € rent a month for a luxurious 144 m² flat close to berlin, germany. It's a huge expensive for me but I always dreamed of having a luxurious flat and so I thought, "just do it". I've spent over 40k € on the interior design, furniture and smart elctronics. Now I've been living here for a year and yes it is super nice. I've got dedicated rooms for work, sports, super large living room with a nice custom made kitchen and all that. But one thing i've realized is this: the more money you have, the less time you spend at home. Most days I only eat, sleep, work at home and when I could really "enjoy" it, I much rather go outside, meet friends, enjoy events, go travel, sit in a bar, eat at a resturant and such. Now that I have experienced a luxurious flat for over a month, I can say it is not worth it to spend a lot of money or time on it. To anyone who has money, I would recommend to spend it on experiences instead. But yea, if you're a billionaire, obviously 63 million is pocket change.
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
Ladies and gentlemen, imma be real. Billionaires dont care if its 50 million or 64 million. The location + the view + the design, if it wows the right person, money isn't a issue. It's more about wowing that 1% because they really do live in a different world, rather than wowing the 99% of the rest of us haha.
It's a fantastic unit and building. What I really like is that every one of these premium luxury homes exhibit unique and original features here and there that are missing elsewhere. It's a great source for creative ideas and aesthetic solutions.

I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks and made about $246k,but guess what? I put it all back and traded again and now I am rounding up close to a million
After I raised up to 450k trading with her I bought a new House and a car here in the states 🇺🇸🇺🇸also paid for my son's surgery (Oscar). Glory to God.shalom..

Erik not only the most iconic city but in my opinion the Greatest City in the world. You always put out great content. Love seeing the awesomeness of NYC
Great video with atmospheric production values in the opening. But I think when you start on the street and approach the building, it would have been nice to see you pause and look up and then cut to a street eye view of the tower looming above you. Also, at the end you said you were going to show us what 'this place looks like at night'. The video then showed us interior shots of the rooms with a sort of partial far angled view of the windows and also exterior drone shots of the building and the city. But we didn't get an actual night view directly though the windows to show us how the city would look to someone standing in the apartment looking out. It would have been great to see those angles.
I work next door to this, and it is essentially a parking place for billionaires to keep their funds secure, as NY is a virtual guarantee in real estate. That being said, this like all the others, will continue to attract investors and be monolithic wastelands. Thanks for making NY a class divide like few others.
Stunning penthouse, excellent presentation. Can you just gloss over the security in these high-end places and perhaps a small mention of laundry facilities, I mean, someone has to clean the place and I assume that's not the owners.
Found this video tour tonight and I absolutely love it. This is one of the most beautiful penthouses I've ever seen. I wouldn't mind paying $100 just to go on a 1-hour tour of this luxurious apartment!
Erik, this place is stunning. So much nicer IMO than other apartments costing 2 or 3 times more. Thanks for showing us these 'dream homes in the sky' 👍
Stunning residence. The finishes chosen for for the entire home it extremely well thought out. The furniture on lucite bases looks amazing. Not taking away from the gorgeous views of Manhattan. I’m very impressed with the craftsmanship and its quality which is on point and flawless. When you have wealth like that you kind find great contractors and artisans who are passionate about there craft.
Well what a fabulous all round veiw it is stunning if you do not suffer from skyscraper phobia and chronic vertigo looking down is not for the faint hearted!
I like this Penthouse, that little window is awesome! I very envy the lives of you rich Americans! You are very handsome, thank you very much for sharing, super great job! 👍🤩👏
I love the two story great room. Great work on the drone shots from so high up at nighttime. A masterpiece of presentation, videography and especially editing.
This would be my dream apartment in NYC if I ever came into enough money to afford a place like this. Having said that, an apartment in NYC has never been and will never be my first option.
This one is impressive. I'm particularly drawn in by the architecture. Those angled pieces between the windows is what does it most for me. Though the mini windows for fresh air are a nice touch, I'd still prefer a balcony or terrace to really be able to take in those morning and evening views with a cup of coffee or glass of wine.
listings like these are the reason why nyc is becoming completely unaffordable for the middle/lower class. half of these supertall buildings are completely uninhabited, and only about 1% of the population can actually afford a listing like this. this is what is destroying the housing market in nyc.
This is financial advice and I never give financial advice: DONT LEAVE DURING THE BEAR. If you don’t want to invest…learn. If you don’t want to learn…build. If you don’t want to build observe. DO SOMETHING…other than leave. There is so much opportunity here. Take advantage!
Just because there are opportunities in the market doesn’t mean you should go in blindly. To understand the potential factors that contribute to your financial growth, I'll advise you to seek the help of a professional.
1:33 it would be nice to see what the elevator landing / transition from the elevator to the apartment is like. How much space is outside? How's it arranged? Can you decorate it yourself?
Hey Eric, you have no idea how many times I checked your channel to see if u had uploaded the full video man. I love your channel bro, it is the most motivating way to procrastinate. These high end real estate just pushes me to keep working hard to one day afford such a thing.
How do you get these drone shots? Do you just launch from the street and fly up 76+ floors? Or do you get permission to launch from the nearest rooftop deck? You use them for a fair amount of your videos and they are amazing!
It is nice flat but there is one problem with scyscrapers - there is no balcony or terrace - where you can feel the beauty of real outside nature and environment - real connection with world and nature.
I’ve been wanting to see the street level access experience for these buildings for ages. Be great if you could do that more. One thing I have been wondering about is how the elevators work in these buildings where the doors open up into your apartment. Does the elevator go to other floors so you might have people in the elevator looking into your home when the doors open or is it a dedicated elevator to that one floor?
Depends on the building. Sometimes the elevators open into a small room to protect your privacy. Sometimes the elevators have a key-lock system and a resident's key will only allow access to their specific floor. Sometimes the elevator door will not open unless you enter the right code. Sometimes the elevator has a fingerprint reader.
The apartment exhibits undeniable beauty, yet an unsettling aura lingers, hinting at a distressing past. Though indescribable, there is an intangible presence that permeates the space.
imagine paying $64 million for a view of a shit city and state with homeless people living right outside your front door when you could buy an island 10x the size for less than half the price
I live on the 74th-floor in a 75-floor luxury apartment building in London (which is the tallest residential building in Europe). It overlooks River Thames and the entirety of London city (with all the landmarks of Tower Bridge, the Shard, Gherkin etc) - and trust me when I say - that the views, no matter how stunning and beautiful, you will get tired of it and grow numb of it. So, it is not worth $64 million! Ever!
Erik saying the views are the main selling point is the most honest he's ever been. For 63.8 million i'd expect A LOT more even in New York.
if you want honesty check me out off-broadway this coming spring haha

But yea, if you're a billionaire, obviously 63 million is pocket change.
these places are so cold... btw you never see nobody living in these gargantuesque apartment.
The photography in this video is fantastic it could be a travel log for N.Y.C.! Thanks, Erik!!

As a born and raised New Yorker, you are absolutely correct, having a staircase in your apartment is very rare and always SUPER cool 😎
Jean Nouvel is a top-tier architect and it shows. This apartment makes the penthouses on Billionaire’s Row look amateurish by comparison. If I won the lottery, this would be the penthouse I would choose.
The shape of the exterior building sadly makes the layout of the interior quite choppy and broken

It would have been great to see those angles.
absolutely breathtaking
Riddle me this: how does one get their furniture in there? Or down from there? Are there giant freight elevators?
I work next door to this, and it is essentially a parking place for billionaires to keep their funds secure, as NY is a virtual guarantee in real estate. That being said, this like all the others, will continue to attract investors and be monolithic wastelands. Thanks for making NY a class divide like few others.

I do love this building more than the other massive new highrises in NYC. This one is the only one with actual character in the building design.

What a waste of space... You are literally paying for air..

Not at that height. You would literally be blown away.

listings like these are the reason why nyc is becoming completely unaffordable for the middle/lower class. half of these supertall buildings are completely uninhabited, and only about 1% of the population can actually afford a listing like this. this is what is destroying the housing market in nyc.
Excellent video as always Erik! The night time shots are always my favourite.

Incredible tour, sir. I would never have the opportunity to see this, so it's much appreciated!
Can we stop calling apartments that arent on the top floor 'penthouses'? Its just an apartment on a high floor...
What floor is your penthouse on?
@@maxwilson5984 the top one. As it should be.

😅😅😅 A poor man’s way of thinking. It doesn’t matter the floor it’s on because you can’t afford it . 🤡
Arent penthauses just apartments that take a whole floor?
I love the intro!
Being able to see what it’s like to go from street level through the lobby and up to the unit is great.
$63M and no security anywhere? Walked right in without seeing a single person.
That was for the purpose of this video. Trust me, there's cameras and security.
Maybe you can’t see without camera.
Its the penthouse, the only people coming up that high is you and yours. Duh.

Another amazing tour, Erik. This penthouse had a more homely feel due to the nice staging, and the ground-floor pool looked so good!
The apartment exhibits undeniable beauty, yet an unsettling aura lingers, hinting at a distressing past. Though indescribable, there is an intangible presence that permeates the space.

I saw this one on Zillow and hardly paid attention. The still photos don't do it justice at all. Great video.
Ever!
