For confession 1, I think the issue she is feeling maybe the fact that her bf may not have the capability or knowledge to support himself if he loses the support from his parents one day. There could be many possibilities of losing money however much you may have, such as medical bills, wrong decisions in investments, or whatever other freak accidents. What happens then? Will he be able to secure a job to support himself? Or will she have to start supporting him financially because all he has no actual career experiences? The point here is that he is and always have been living off his parents, and I don't think anyone would be proud to share that. For confession 2, if you think of it from another angle, maybe her bf had negative experiences with his ex sharing photos of them on social media and therefore is against that happening again from then on, but what was found by her was left there since it's in his ex's account and he can't really control whether she removes it or not. Also, perhaps there was a mistranslation/miscommunication and her bf's idea of "manipulate photo" is toxic people manipulating what people think of you through gossips just based off what they see from the photos.
Confession 1 sounds like a humble brag. Either that or she is so kiasu that her bf must have a job that is perceived by the Singaporean society as a good and respected job. In western countries, doing philanthropy work is the ultimate humble brag

I think what she needs to do is to think about why that insecurity is there and why there is a need for her to impress the people around her cause that can stem from a multitude of factors such as upbringing, influence etc. If i were her, I would support him regardless of what he chooses to do with his life. If he gets satisfaction from it or he is just happy to be able to help people around him then I think thats fine. Financial status, careers and superficial aspects can only go so far. No one will really remember you for it when you're say what? 70-80 years old? Morals and character, being able to make a difference to other peoples' lives are more important imo.

Actually about the Boyfriend does not post about relationship on Social Media part: The more you expose your relationship, the more people will see. And you don't know what they think about you or your S/O. Say what if they don't like you for some funny reason or they single and jealous because you're in a relationship? They can just pass a few bad word to either one of you or your friends and your trust in each other maybe jeopardize because of this.
