false. It means a relationship thats 'essentially over' but a situation of some sort keeps them together...could be sex, one of them cant move out, etc...hence its a situation that is the bind here.
Situationship, sounds to me, a relationship between two individuals are together solely for companionship, with no commitments and does not last basically.
If you go back to the basics, marriage is also a label. Some people just don’t care for labels, marriage included but are in stable exclusive relationships.
Word of advice here: passive-aggressiveness and micro-managership in any person are red flags no matter what else they have. These two red flags...more like black flags, overshadow absolutely anything else. Run immediately and never look back.
Let me help you guys out..'Situationship' DOES NOT MEAN WHAT YOU THINK IT DOES. This term was created by African-Americans in the States. You hear it between Af-Am content creators, singers, rappers and actors--and in our everyday life in general as a term. You're confusing it with the term 'FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS'. SO....the true meaning of 'situationship' signifies a couple that stay together past the expiration date of the relationship, BUT remain together because they cant find another person, have no money to move away, the sex is good or all the above (hence its all about a 'situation' that keeps them together). Essentially, they stay together for all the wrong reasons when theyre no longer compatible anymore (and the love is gone)--but do.
@@beomgyu_luvr it is...always has been in the states...trust me on that. It's been around for 10 years here. The definition they gave is EXACTLY what 'FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS' means. Look it up. You guys just remixed it into something it thats not the OG definition of it. It's been in American raps and songs from Drake. Nick Minaj, Jay Z, H.E.R, Usher and others here....
the current usage of the term means something completely different though. words and their meanings evolve over time and while it’s important to respect and understand its roots, it is also important to see how its meaning has changed. Right now at least, the meaning they gave is pretty accurate. I’d describe it as an “in between stage” or just a stage wherein there’s nothing official/no labels.
Have you ever been in a Situationship?
read my post...what you guys think is a 'situationhip' isnt a situationship....thats called 'FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS'
Situationships = no commitment.
