Eric: Beating Deltarune's HARDEST Boss
That one clown from chapter 1: Are you sure about that?
Jevil?
Yeah, sad he missed him
Oh yah forgot he never did Jevil I really hope he doesn’t miss snow grave.
ikr, spamton neo is easy compared to jevil
i can agree jevils harder
When I saw this vod in my sub feed, I was pleasantly surprised. I was sure Eric had simply quit the game... Now I wish he had.
Why do you wish that?
@@ArcherOfHoshido As the stream progressed, he appeared to become less and less interested in the game. His mind was occupied with plans for the future from the start, and he continued distracting himself until it seemed as if he just wanted to beat the game for the sake of beating it.
I decided to finally stop watching when he gave up engaging with the game and its challenges, ignored its natural progression through dialogue... and instead asked chat to hold his hand and lead him to the secret boss fight.
I'd rather not watch a tired streamer feign interest for a game and have a miserable experience playing it, then criticize it despite not having paid much attention himself. I want to see streamers having fun. If they want to take a break because they're exhausted or quit a game they're not enjoying, good on them. But this vod was painful to watch.
That was the meaning behind my comment. But whatever, streamers don't always have fun. It happens.
@@The_Endless_Now I couldn’t agree more with this comment. He should’ve either quit the game, or played it again when he wasn’t tired.
@@The_Endless_Now yes, I very much agree. it was not as fun as his undertale playthrough and I even like deltarune more. it's a shame
Idk, it’s kinda sad that the way he played made the game less enjoyable for him, I feel like if he had beaten it in a few days instead of once a week, and hadn’t had so many backseaters in chat he would have connected more with the characters, which are the strongest part of this game.
The healing from choco diamond and hearts donut depend on who eats it. Kris likes the choco diamond, and Susie likes the hearts donut, Ralsei is neutral to both.
Sad he's not gonna finish the play through, but he did skip around a lot and rushed through and honestly left out a lot of story and lore to pickup cues in Deltarune (esp about the Knight). I could tell he wasn't enjoying it with how he sped through scenes, and it was low key frustrating how he kept nitpicking stuff and, of course, comparing it to UT (unavoidable, ik). I think he was just expecting another UT story right off the bat, but then again, it took him playing every route before knowing the full story. He was past the halfway mark in DR and I wish he could've at least seen the main ending but idk...to each their own I guess. Hope he revisits the game one day at least 😞
Maybe once the full game is out he’ll go back and play through all of it, thought maybe this is copium.
Also, about your talk about girls hinting rather than being explicit about their crushes. I don’t think it’s a test or to try and make you make the first move. I think it’s them testing the waters to see if you see them that way. They don’t want to confess and get rejected, so trying to hint at things and hope the other person sees them romantically and would treat them differently than if they were just a friend is the point. That’s why they never explicitly confessed, cuz they realized you didn’t see them that way and decided it wasn’t worth the effort to confess and moved on.
Some girls won’t do this, some do. Girls are afraid of rejection like anyone else and they don’t have it any easier than guys in regards to whether they’ll find someone who likes them back sort of thing
I'm a bit sad he decided to speedrun it at the end there, but we still got to watch him fight the secret boss so all good
I feel like the circumstances he got to play in make it faaaar less enjoyable than it should have been. He also skipped jevil, which he might have liked better
@@planetalhena I wish Jevil had been more hinted at, like Spamton NEO was. If I were Toby, I would go add in some dialogue related thing hinting at Jevil. Like maybe a line from Seam that hints toward a secret room in the King's Castle, or an NPC like The Hacker that points you in the right direction.
@@JosepiThe13th YES I agree!!! I feel like Spampton was muuuch more hinted at. both methods are good since one makes you feel awesome for finding it out tho xddd but it is sad to miss it
I hate that he just gave up on acting and just started fighting shit again once he got to the castle. He missed so many awesome interactions, like Tasque Manager coming in during the MausWheel fight and stopping it for you.
Sadly, he calls it the hardest boss because he never found the actual hardest boss.
there are at least two bosses harder even
@@billnye8760 Only one if you don’t count Snowgrave Spamton NEO, since it’s just the same fight but without Susie and Ralsei.
@@JosepiThe13th What is Snowgrave? I've seen several in the chat mention that word, but I don't know what it is.
I just did a quick google search on images and it seems to have something to do with Noelle, but I didn't want too much spoiler, so I went away again.
What do I do to activate the Snowgrave thing? Do I have to make Noelle kill stuff?
@@JosepiThe13th still harder though, even if it is the same fight
@@Rubywing4 when you get Noelle, go back wards all the way to spamtons shop, killing *every* enemy with iceshock. Always pick "proceed". When you reach the rind Addison, get the snow ring. Right before the 2nd berdly fight, go back to the car area (where dog corridor is on normal route) and buy the thorn ring from the dumpster. Equip it to Noelle, and use the Snowgrave ability on Berdly
How did he miss a hundred people telling him about the fast travel door yet he reads a single random message between them. It's also kinda sad how he isn't going to finish the game because he didn't enjoy it as it's "missing something" when he purposely makes the game less enjoyable by rushing through everything and skipping literally almost every single interaction.
Man was probably tired asf, he should've played on his own time
Thanks for trying it out even if you didn't enjoy it as much as Undertale.
If for whatever reason you wish to revisit it in the future, I would recommend the equivalent of the genocide route, it seems like you could enjoy that much more. But until then, enjoy Subnautica and whatever else you enjoy my friend!
honestly enjoying deltarune alot more than undertale. To each their own ig
@@hussyweissshutup1275 I preferred DR to UT as well. The game just feels...cleaner. Though, I've only done undertale's genocide route lol
He missed a lot of dialog even from chapter 1 because he killed a lot instead of being pacifist.
The games are meant to be quite different from eachother, theres no harm in liking one and not the other p:
@@sinny5404 truwu
I think the issue is that you took a 3 week break mid-chapter. You seemed super engaged, and were trying to beat enemies by ACTing the last time you streamed, so I think you would've loved it if you hadn't stepped away for so long. If one day you have the energy to restart and give chapter 2 another chance, I would rather see you genuinely engaged with the game rather than just sorta pushing through because of your prior commitment.
Now's your chance to be [monetized]
I have bad news for everyone. Eric recently said in his Subnautica vod at the end that he will not be finishing deltarune. He said he didn't like it as much as undertale and said that it was "missing something". You can see him talk more about this in his latest subnautica vod titled "SUBNAUTICA FIRST PLAYTHROUGH AND IM SCARED OF THE OCEAN" from 31 March 2022 at 05:19:11 (twitch time)
kinda makes me sad honestly, I had enjoyed his Undertale streams, I really thought he would enjoy DR too 😔 Oh well, it was nice while it lasted
Funny how he says it's "Missing something" And hasn't even finished the game yet. How do you not know what it's missing when you refuse to play the game consistently or even finish it at all? It does make you think about how Toby has structured the game so far though. I do feel like Chapter One has a high rate of people losing interest before getting to see what the game is really about. I hope Toby changes CH1 in some ways, like adding a backround in the Field would help even. Not to mention I can acknowledge how one dimensional the first chapter's story feels compared to what's added in CH2.
@@epiphanylol exactly. the entirety of chapter one is equal to just the dungeons and time you spend in toriels house if you divide up both games
@DELANO_XD Perhaps it shouldn't be too surprising to us, given he also went back and forth with whether he liked Undertale or not, and seemed to find it just "good" at the end when most fans tend to consider Undertale incredible. I definitely do. The humour/dialogue and characters just don't seem to be his cup of tea.
He made the mistake of comparing it to Undertale instead of seeing it as its own entity. On top of that he went into this final section not really caring simply because he took such a long break that he forgot the plot.
"beating deltarune's hardest boss"
thumbnail: spamton neo
oh boy no one introduced him to everyones favorite jester did they?
Okay IMO Jevil was way harder than spamtom, but I’m so glad you got to play a fun battle either way!
Spamton easier but more fun
@@raccoonman5341 definitely a more fun / less frustrating battle especially if you aren’t a fan of bullet hell games.
That being said I enjoyed both a lot
@@ArtBySoup I like shooting shit
Spamton’s weird route is harder as well.
This is a pretty easy boss. Very fun.
@@ma.2089 Same I’m still struggling with snowgrave spamton
Kinda sad that you didn't enjoy the game as much as I do, probably because not playing the game in 3 weeks cause you to forget the plot, which reduce the enjoyment. I'm glad to see you given it a chance though!
Don't you love it when you take a radioactive, yellow, curved, sustenance giving fruit, peel the skin and take a bite out of all the delicious radioactive nutriments and *potassium?*
I just *love* bananas.
54:30 love how he looks at some of chat crying over the maus, and then you can hear the impact of his finger on the keyboard for him getting those perfect attacks.
THE [smooth] TASTE OF NEO
Shoutout to the chat member at 50:05 who made that terrible astrology pun
"The hardest boss"
Jevil in Ch.1 would like to have a word with you
have you beaten deltarunes real hardest boss yet, Jevil?
No, and there’s a high probability he won’t.
FINALLY. I've been waiting for this for like 2 weeks!!!!!
HE FOUND IT OH MY GOD I'VE BEEN WAITING ALMOST A MONTH FOR THIS
i told you that he would find spamton neo
everyone else in that reply section was a non believer
You been good to watch until the point where you straight up didn't do most of spamtons dialogue and just skipped over it
I feel ashamed to admit that I failed the 20 mice capture puzzle thing... like a dozen times.
I was running around in panic and missed a lot of times because I was going too fast lol
Also, I had no idea there was a secret optional boss in chapter 2 as well. That was lost on me when I played lol
I did unlock the secret boss in chapter 1, the chaos guy, but I couldn't beat him, lost to him like 5-6 times before I gave up coz I didn't have time to "get gud" on him. Don't like that guy. >:(
This one, though, I had no idea existed. The first Spamton fight was easy enough for me, did it on the first try (with some healing items).
He did say to meet him back in the trash place, but that info was lost on me, apparently. I did even go back to the trash place but didn't look further. I had earlier explored the place and found the weird door that was locked and I was like "ok, I'll come back later when I get a key or something", but apparently there wasn't a key for it, just Spamton, so I didn't return to look at it.
I also did find all 3 checkmarks and recruited the Hacker, who told me about a secret door somewhere in the statue room, and I did find the switch and saw the glowing lock thing that I couldn't get past, and then I was like "ok, I'll come back later when I get a key or something", which I never found, of course, because I didn't know about going back to Trash Zone and find Spamton behind that unlocked door.
And then I just forgot about both places. XD I am ashamed, I missed lore!!! D:
And I even saved in the castle AFTER sealing the fountain, so I can't go back and do it anymore. I'm gonna have to replay the entire chapter now, maybe even chapter 1 as well to try the secret boss again (though mostly because I'm not sure if I can start chapter 2 in a new file without having done chapter 1 in the same file).
Like the great Rouxls Card says:
GOD.
DAMN IT.
pointcrow looks different at 1:20:44 did he change his hair?
@DELANO_XD his hair is different. That’s all :D
Not to flex bot it took me two attempts but the funny thing was the tea cup ride before it took five
can relate, beat spamton neo first try and the teacup ride like third or fourth
That teacup ride was the bane of me. Spamton was literally easy compared to that lmao
True and same. The teapot ride was hard af, but Spamton NEO himself I was able to first try.
Anyone notice that Pointcrow did not notice, that the bird piece of the puzzle square thing, looks awfully like Doodle (I think is it's name) that belongs to Pointcrow?
I feel empty
jevil is harder than spamton in my opinion
He never found jevil, doesn’t even know he exists
i always put too much Cappuccino powder in my Cappucciono so it's way too strong. Maybe you can put Erics in Erics to make Eric taller..?
Crow stop marking this I need sleep
Actually it’s great I love the content
1:30:24 I spill ma English Te after that xDDDD
2:16:40 I watched on X2 speed, couldn’t tell where the key was and thought he was actually a god gamer lol.
Did I see a creepy smile that faded in the basement? MIKE!!! 2:26:16
Does pointcrow not know that defending gives TP?
No because he never fucking payed attention to game mechanics and instead chose to rush through everything and complain about it “missing something” :P
Man didn’t learn the mechanics so no surprise there
Popular opinion: snowgrave Spamtom NEO is way, WAY! Easier then Jevil
the Potassium episode
Can you try Terraria after this ?
I would like him to do so too. But I feel like he won't.
@@hasanborazan8008 yeah sadly . I mean if he played it with veteran it will be fun
He mentioned back in one of his Wind Waker vods that he does play Terraria and he really enjoys it.
@@JosepiThe13th Really?
Also, he DEFINITELY won't play Terraria on stream then
man i love spamton g spamton
"hardest boss" just wait until you find out about jevil
You gonna do snowgrave route?
I think Jevil is harder than spamton tho
Definitely
He is supposed to be harder than Spamton I think
I personally think that the secret boss from chapter 1 is harder
Liked, Commenting, subscribed, bell rung.
Do Snowgrave please
How do you get this ending
plz play snow grave next
Wow this took longer than usual and you didn't even finish. How ?
so no snowgrave??
second hardest boss*
I like this video.
I like this video
The fight is just mettaton
NGL I think Jevil is harder.
Sad to hear he didn't like the game... maybe he should play it on his own time and he'll like it then? If not, understandable
Okay now do chapter 1
He did

How is this the hardest boss? There’s a HARDER version of him and there’s a clown in episode 1.
I BEAT this guy on the 2nd try. He’s not hard! The fact I beat him proves it!! Clickbait lol
9 mental illnesses.
Wow that story with "We all had a crush on eric but that stopped cuz he didn't pick up any hints" that hits close to home..
I was told that 4/7 of the girls from our french school exchange had a crush on me
and I didn't pick up on any of the hints.. cuz I was a depressed lil bean back then.
Basically.. people told me throughout my childhood and teenage years that I was really handsome / beautiful..
But to me that was not a compliment or flirting.. it just came across as the least threatening / insulting form of speech..
just like he said a bit later on.. it's the introvert's point of view.
And now I'm an ambivert... somewhere between introverted and extroverted...
I'm an extrovert recovering from introvert life
