One of my favorite stitch combinations. Years ago I made a shawl and a bolero. I love this design and will add it to my to do list. It’s easily adapted for larger sizes as well. That’s always a plus! Thank you for sharing.

I making this poncho, right now, for my sis-in-law. Im using varigated white and light blue yarn (it's looks tie-dyed). It's going to be a summer poncho she can wear as a bikini cover, or in general. I've made one row already. Seven more to go
I think I have figured out how to have a more "straight-edge" across the top when putting this together. After I made all of the pattern repeats I needed to make it as long as I wanted it, I then added a "half-repeat" of the pattern (just to where you add the spaces on top of the trebles) and ended it there. It actually helped to level off the top. Hope this is okay with you and hope this helps. This pattern is GORGEOUS by the way and incredibly easy to work thanks to your skill as a tutor. Thank you so much.

June D I used Lion Brand mandala yarn and a size h hook. It took about 3skeins.

hi, I have the same question. Two years have gone by, so maybe you have figured it out for yourself. I have a little over 350 grams of yarn to do with a 4 hook -- I'm wondering if that will be enough to make a poncho this style (the yarn is all leftover from a really large project). I would say, make a sample... You will probably need more panels, since the yarn is thinner.
