    I love this! Making it for my daughter. So, you work 26 rows, then work the scallop? Also, to make this for my 9 year old granddaughter, do I work the same but crochet less rows? TIA for the answers. This is very beautiful. 🥰

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, after 26 rows you start the scallops. As for the granddaughter's version...you can work it for fewer rows, however, the neck opening might be too large. You might have to work a few rows of sc to tighten up the opening. Hope this helps.

    Could you omit the corners and have it come out as a round poncho? Would it be full enough?

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet

      I honestly don't know. I haven't made one like that yet. The corners is what makes it grow row over row so not sure how it would work without. Thanks for watching!

    Hello, I have yarn that says #1, super fine, hook 3.5mm/E/4, can I still make this with the same number of stitches in the starting chain?

  • @joyceandraysmith9289
    @joyceandraysmith9289 8 месяцев назад +1

    I am so disappointed… I’ve bought the yarn and the instructions are clear enough, but no matter what I do I can’t keep the circle from twisting… I guess this is just too challenging for me… Do you have any suggestions?

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  8 месяцев назад +2

      At what point in the process is your circle twisting? As long as the initial chain is not twisting the remaining pattern should not twist.

    • @joyceandraysmith9289
      @joyceandraysmith9289 8 месяцев назад +3

      After repeatedly trying again and again, and checking other videos about starting chains, little did I realize that I was twisting my chain and sometimes plugging into the bottom chain, versus the top of the chain…, thus my problem….ty for taking the time and interest in getting back to me…I am enjoying making my poncho!

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  8 месяцев назад +2

      @@joyceandraysmith9289 I'm so glad you worked it out. I do say at the beginning at 1:55 to make sure you're not twisting the starting chain. In any case, you're good now and that's what matters.

    • @joyceandraysmith9289
      @joyceandraysmith9289 8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, you absolutely mentioned it but, I guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention..lesson learned!

    • @lindzmorris2778
      @lindzmorris2778 8 месяцев назад

      Hi, one tip I've picked up when doing a long chain is to add stitch markers every 10 chains (more or less as you find the easiest) then as you go along check each 10 are not twisted.
      Make sure your stitch markers are at the "bottom" of the chain. Glad you're carrying on, I'm about to make my second following this pattern. 🎉
